    Abstract: The present invention comprises a nozzle assembly for dispensing fuel into an inlet of a container comprising a body, a spout and a vapor collection sleeve fitted over the spout and compressing when the spout is inserted into the inlet of a container. An interlock mechanism prevents operation of the nozzle assembly unless the sleeve is at least partially compressed by insertion of the spout into the container inlet. The interlock mechanism includes structure to prevent the interlock mechanism from moving from the engaged position to the disengaged position in the event of a failure of the interlock mechanism whereby the nozzle assembly cannot dispense fuel regardless of whether the spout is engaged with the inlet of the container or not. An interlock actuator is mounted for movement within the body and coupled to the sleeve, while a lost motion mechanism limits movement of the interlock actuator into the body.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a rock crushing apparatus. Known apparatus operate on the distinct principles of compression crushing (compression between moving surfaces) or impact crushing (compression via high velocity rock impacting a surface). Both types of apparatus have disadvantages in the quality of the crushed product, energy inefficiency or high rotor wear rates. The apparatus (1) comprises a rotor (2) comprising a number of reciprocating (11) and fixed compression crushing elements (12, 13) to compression crush the rock between adjacent reciprocating and fixed surfaces. The positioning of these elements (11, 12, 13) within the rotor performs an arresting action on the rock to limit the maximum radial velocity (Vr) the rock attains before its ejection from the compression crushing elements (11, 12, 13) for impact crushing on an adjacent surface. In this way the disadvantages of compression and impact crushing are minimised to produce a superior product.

    Abstract: Higher Order Sliding Mode (HOSM) control techniques are applied to the Guidance Control (G&C) of interceptor missile in which velocity may be steered by combination of main thrust, aerodynamic lift and lateral on-off divert thrusters, and attitude may be steered by continuous or on-off actuators. Methods include the pointing of the seeker, its associated estimation processes, a guidance law that uses concurrent divert mechanisms, and an attitude autopilot. The insensitivity of the controller to matched disturbances allows the concurrent usage of the divert mechanisms without adverse effect on the accuracy. The controller also allows the de-coupling of the control of roll, pitch and yaw channels, and usage quaternions to represent body attitude and it provides control perfect robustness. While it conceivable to design separately the components of the G&C method, it is widely accepted that designing them in an integrated fashion usually produces a better result.

The length of the pin may be used to control the timing of the fin deployment, the delay between the initial movement of the release mechanism out of the cavity, and when the fins are released.

    Abstract: An ejection device for a flight data recorder includes an ejection spindle, which can be detachably connected to the flight data recorder by means of a bayonet coupling.     Abstract: A cable holder including a frame having a plurality of resiliently flexible trays arranged in a column. A top surface of one of the plurality of trays and the bottom surface of another of the plurality of trays immediately positioned above it forms a pocket that is sized and shaped to receive at least one cable. Each of the trays includes at least one low rail extending from the top surface thereof, and the remainder of the trays includes at least one high rail extending from the bottom surface thereof. A clip is secured to the frame for attachment to a bracket. The trays are depressed to open the pocket, enabling insertion of one or more cables therein or removal therefrom. The resiliency of the trays along with the low rails and high rails deform the cables to form slight bends therein to prevent side-to-side movement or slippage of the cables.
