Publication number: 20130105464Abstract: An electric heating apparatus includes a power module, an electric heating unit, and a switching unit. The power module is adapted to be electrically connected to a battery for outputting electric energy. The electric heating unit includes multiple electric heating components electrically connected to the power module tor receiving and converting the electric energy into thermal energy. The switching unit is electrically connected between the power module and the electric heating unit, and is operable to control electrical connection between the power module and each of the electric heating components. Accordingly, the electric heating unit generates the thermal energy with a constant output power.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2012Publication date: May 2, 2013Inventor: Steven Yue

Publication number: 20130105466Abstract: A solder handling assembly comprises a heating portion, a casing, a variable resistor, a connecting member coupled to the variable resistor, and an elastic-resilient member movable from a first state to a second state. The connecting member is rotatable relative to the casing and is configured to adjust a resistor value of the variable resistor when the connecting member is rotated relative to casing. When the elastic-resilient member is in the first state, the connecting member is prevented from rotating relative to the casing. When the elastic-resilient member is in the second state, the connecting member can be rotated relative to the casing.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2012Publication date: May 2, 2013Applicant: HAKKO CORPORATIONInventor: HAKKO CORPORATION

Publication number: 20130105467Abstract: Apparatus and method for induction sealing workpieces, in which a series of workpieces are conveyed along a path extending in a conveyance direction, and each workpiece is exposed to a first electromagnetic field generated by a first induction head and to a second electromagnetic field generated by a second induction head, each of the first and second electromagnetic fields inducing eddy currents through the entirety of each workpiece. Respective magnetic axes of the first and second induction heads are non-parallel to each other such that each workpiece is exposed to a plurality of differently oriented electromagnetic fields as the workpiece is conveyed along the path.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2011Publication date: May 2, 2013Applicant: SONOCO DEVELOPMENT, INC.Inventors: Jeremy Morin, Trevor Price

Publication number: 20130105469Abstract: The reactive waste deactivation facility is designed to destroy explosives, propellants, and manufactured munitions items. The facility includes a plurality of armored deactivation bays. Two configurations can be used for these bays: a batch loading vertical bay and a continuous feed horizontal rotary bay. The armored deactivation bays are all enclosed within a common expansion chamber that is designed to collect waste gasses, dusts and residual wastes resulting from the deactivation of wastes that take place in the plurality of bays. The facility uses an electric induction heating coil for each bay to start the reactions. The facility may also include remotely operable waste feeding systems A waste collection and removal system is also provided which permits removal of residues from the individual reaction bays.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2011Publication date: May 2, 2013Applicant: Advanced Environmental TechnologyInventor: Ronald E.
