Abstract: A shift device with an over-shift lock for a multi-speed transmission of a motor vehicle, in which individual gears are shifted incrementally, is provided. The shift device has a pivotable shifting element which is composed of an activation element and a driver element displaceably held thereon. Both elements have mutually aligned oblong holes which are penetrated by a shifting shaft leading to the transmission. A shifting process is limited by the striking of the shifting shaft against the end sides of the oblong holes. In this position, the alternating influencing of the shifting shaft and the contours of the oblong holes prevents a further rotation of the shifting shaft and thereby an over-shifting of the transmission.

Abstract: In a starter, an output shaft is supported by a main tube body according to a direct contacting structure that outer surfaces other than a male helical spline and inner surfaces other than a female helical spline of a pinion tube contact directly. Thereby, the output shaft can be supported by the pinion tube without other parts. As a result, a clearance that occurs in a radial direction can be limited to a clearance in the radial direction formed between an outer surfaces of the output shaft and an inner surfaces of the pinion tube regarding a support of the output shaft by the pinion tube, and since an inclination of the pinion tube and the pinion relative to the output shaft can be suppressed, a life improvement effect of the starter can be enhanced.

Abstract: A cored wire injection with a filling of iron oxide and mineral carbonate provides an improved method and apparatus for increasing and maintaining dissolved oxygen in the steelmaking process, while also providing a method for forming carbon dioxide for stirring and carbon oxidation in the molten steel bath. The method and apparatus are particularly useful for low carbon steel production by lowering the tap oxygen content in the furnace and preventing high amounts of iron oxide in the slag. Injecting a cored wire containing a mineral carbonate in the ladle after the furnace melting process provides sources of oxygen and a method of stirring the steel and reducing the partial pressure of CO needed to lower the carbon content.

Abstract: A stringed musical instrument employs springs to apply tension to corresponding musical strings. Each spring is chosen and configured for its ability to impart a string tension generally matched to the appropriate tension of the string at perfect tune. Preferably, the spring is selected and arranged so that the tension in the string maintains at or near perfect tune even as the string elongates or contracts over time. In one embodiment, once a string is placed in appropriate tune, a mechanical visual indicator is set. As such, if tune of the string changes due to string elongation or contraction, the change is reflected by misalignment of the mechanical visual indicator even if the change cannot be aurally detected. Perfect tune can be reestablished by realigning the indicator. In another embodiment, a force modulating member is interposed between a spring and its corresponding musical string.

The device includes a filtration status chamber for receiving and discharging the gaseous stream, and a transparent wall enabling viewing of the chamber interior. A fluid-pervious filtration media within the chamber is infused with an absorption composition at which the contaminant on contact with the media is immobilized. The media has a surface viewable through a transparent wall of the filtration status chamber, and the stream flow path is such as to cause the stream to impinge at the media via the said surface, whereby the contaminants collect selectively at the media surface and are therefore highly visible through the transparent wall.

Abstract: Provided is a gas purification method in which the amount of adsorbent is reduced, an adsorption column can be considerably miniaturized, the amount of regeneration gas can be reduced and the running cost can be reduced in cases where carbon dioxide or water which is an impurity contained in a gas to be purified is adsorptively removed; and in which a gas to be purified which contains carbon dioxide having a partial pressure of 35 Pa or lower as impurities is brought into contact with an adsorbent whose heat-regeneration temperature is set to from 160° C. to 240° C. composed of a faujasite type zeolite whose cation is sodium to adsorptively remove the carbon dioxide. Also provided is a gas purification method in which a gas to be purified is brought into contact with an adsorbent which is subjected to an initial activation at 300° C. or higher and composed of a faujasite type zeolite whose cation is lithium to adsorptively remove the residual carbon dioxide and a heat-regeneration is performed at 240° C.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fabric filter system, which may be used for removing particulate matter from a gas, such as a combustion process gas. The fabric filter system includes fabric filters (3) in a filter module. From the fabric filters (3), gas flows through a filter plenary space (5) and into an outlet duct (7). A flow control device (17) controls the amount of gas flowing into and through the outlet duct (7). The flow control device (17) comprises a guillotine-type damper (17). The guillotine-type damper (17) provides reliable and efficient control of the gas flow from the filter plenary space (5) into the outlet duct (7). A collar (21), fluidly connecting the filter plenary space with the outlet duct, improves the gas flow into the outlet duct (7).

Abstract: The present invention provides a device and system for desorption and dehumidification, comprising a conductive electrode, a moisture absorber, and a power source. The conductive electrode comprises a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and the first surface has a plurality of protrusion elements. The moisture absorber comprises a third surface formed on the plurality of protrusions. The power source provides power to the conductive electrode such that a uniform and stable micro-discharge phenomenon is generated thereby forming a continuous charge flow. The continuous charge flow can further generate an electrical interruption for depolarizing the attraction between the moisture molecules and moisture absorber whereby the moisture molecules can be desorbed from the moisture absorber more easily.
