Patent number: 8500181Abstract: A suction lifter comprises a suction cup to be placed against a fixing surface and having a deformable suction disc, the suction lifter being designed for forming a hollow space subject to a partial vacuum between the suction disc and the fixing surface, wherein the suction disc is arranged between the suction cup and the fixing surface, wherein the suction cup further has a circumferential cup rim surrounding the hollow space, and wherein a circumferential supporting area of an upper side of the suction disc facing the cup rim is supported against the cup rim under a vacuum condition. The suction cup rim and/or the suction disc rim are provided with projections which under a vacuum condition of the suction lifter and under a shearing force exerted on the suction disc impede a lateral displacement of the suction cup rim with respect to the suction disc rim.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2009Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Assignee: Bohle AGInventors: Heinrich Ostendarp, Kathrin Weidenfeller, Lutz Strehlow

Patent number: 8500184Abstract: A trailer has a rear gate that is closeable in a generally vertical orientation and openable in one of three orientations: the gate swings downwardly open to be used as a ramp; swings open to the left side, rotating around left hinges; and swings open to the right side, rotating around right hinges. Removal of pins from an upper left and upper right set of hinges enables rotation of the gate in the downward position. Removal of pins from the upper left and lower left set of hinges enables rotation of the gate in the right position. Removal of pins from the upper right and lower right set of hinges enables rotation of the gate in the left position. Removal of all of the pins allows the gate to be completely removed from the trailer.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2011Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Assignee: King Kutter, Inc.Inventors: J. Patent number: 8500185Abstract: A counterbalanced decklid hinge assembly for rotatably supporting a decklid relative to a vehicle includes a torque rod extending between a first hinge box and a second hinge box. A support member is rotatably supported by each of the first and second hinge boxes. A linkage system interconnects one axial end of the torque rod to one of the support members. A lever is attached to and rotatable with the other axial end of the torque rod. A clamping block attaches the torque rod to one of the lever and the linkage system, and is configured to provide an infinite degree of rotational adjustment therebetween to infinitely adjust the pre-loaded torque rod.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2012Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations LLCInventors: Gary W.
