A measuring instrument includes a touch panel display unit that receives an external input performed by physical contact and has a display function. In the touch panel display unit, a plurality of operation icons that are used to perform a complicated input operation as well as a measurement result are displayed. It is possible to provide a measuring instrument that is superior in terms of the usability and viewability. For example, a measurement mode can be selected by selecting and touching one of the plurality of operation icons displayed in the touch panel display unit.

Abstract: A method for inspecting a surface geometry of a workpiece includes mounting the workpiece to a measurement artifact that includes a plurality of parametric datum features. The parametric datum features may be utilized by a first inspection device and a second inspection device to establish a measurement coordinate system. The surface geometry is measured relative to the measurement coordinate system with the first inspection device to provide first measurement data. The surface geometry is also measured relative to the measurement coordinate system with the second inspection device to provide second measurement data.

The extending section and connecting section surround to form an annular hand drying passage to receive user's hands. The annular air discharge portion further has at least one nozzle on an air discharge surface communicating with the annular air discharge portion. The nozzle forms an air discharge angle against the air discharge surface to output the high pressure airflow towards an air discharge side. The water absorbing portion is located on the main body and relative to the air discharge side to receive the high pressure airflow output from the nozzle.

Whether or not to use the heater as the heat source is decided according to whether or not the compressor normally operates.

Failure of battery power at a critical moment is a major source of anxiety and forces many users away from the obvious advantages of lighted reflective dot sights. Battery failure can occur suddenly and without warning rendering the reflective dot sight useless. Even if spare batteries are carried, it takes several minutes to replace the battery. The LED lamp in the disclosed gunsight is powered by a non-removable supercapacitor that is charged by a hand cranked dynamo. A few seconds of cranking provides minutes of operation and the device can be recharged to full capacity at any time.

The torsion spring forces the trap door to close when the trigger is tripped by the animal's paw.

The trap comprises two planar elements of substantially the same size, each with flat outer surface and an inner surface provided with a plurality of recessed areas. The opposed recessed areas align to form at least one passageway and a plurality of trapping compartments, with the passageway open at least at one end to provide an entrance to the trap. The trapping compartment are provided with adhesive means such as a non-drying, non-toxic adhesive. The insect trap and monitor further comprises monitoring means for exposing the trapping compartments, such as a tear-off flap allowing for inspection of the interior of the trap before it is disposed.

An enlarged, generally planar housing has a lower surface formed of a material having sufficient flexibility so that a vacuum that communicates through a collector cavity can remove fish eggs, for example, from a waterway. Fish eggs can be destroyed, either with high pressure fluid that may be a part of the vacuum assembly, or mechanically destroyed, or alternatively the fish eggs may be filtered or separated from the remainder of the collected material. Fluid such as water, saline, chemical or toxins, warm water, etc., are preferably introduced into the waterway surface about the periphery of the housing to treat and/or dislodge the fish eggs.
