Abstract: A mounting structure for mounting a combustor cap in a combustor of a turbine engine includes support struts that are connected between the combustor cap and a concentric combustor cap barrel flange. The support struts may have an airfoil shape to minimize wakes created in a flow of compressed air that is passing over the support struts. Also, the support struts may have an interior passageway that allows a portion of the compressed air to flow though the support strut. The flow of air passing through the support struts may also pass through corresponding vent apertures in the combustor cap barrel flange so that the flow of air passing through the support struts is delivered into a space between the exterior of the combustor cap barrel flange and a forward casing of the combustor.

Abstract: The lock includes a latch member moveable between a retracted position where the truck door can be moved and an extended position where movement of the door is prevented. The latch member is moved by a reversible motor connected to drive a threaded screw through a set of speed reduction gears. An internally threaded drive nut is moveable along the screw. The drive nut has a radially extending protrusion which engages a slot formed in the latch member. Limit switches are tripped by the latch member at either end of its path of movement. The drive nut is situated between two springs. A control circuit is provided to regulate the energization of the motor and other functions of the lock.

Abstract: A system for moving a barrier protecting a restricted area. A stationary linear induction motor moves the barrier by applying a magnetic field from the linear induction motor to a reaction fin attached to the barrier. The reaction fin has a rectangular beam or protrusion forming a groove on each side, which is engaged with guide members to guide the barrier. Holes are evenly spaced along the length of the reaction fin. Magnetic sensors sense the holes during movement of the barrier to determine the speed, position and direction of the barrier. A locking mechanism engages a pin into any one of the holes to lock the barrier in a fixed location. A heater is disposed within the rectangular beams or protrusions of the reaction fin to melt ice in cold weather environments. The system is operated by a main control logic that receives input data from the electronic sensors and controls the linear induction motor, heater and locking mechanism.

Abstract: A locking mechanism is provided for a lock body and a rotatable key plug. The locking mechanism comprises pins having recesses, each of the pins adapted to be disposed in pin bores in the key plug for reciprocal and rotational movement. An elongated spring member simultaneously engages and biases the pins toward a keyway in the key plug. A locking bar moves between a first position and a second position where at least a portion of the locking bar is received in the recesses in the pins. The locking bar is prevented from moving to the second position unless the pins are in a position where the recesses are aligned with the locking bar. Upon insertion of a key in the keyway the pins are moved axially or rotated for aligning the recesses in the pins with the locking bar so the key can rotate the key plug.
