A roof structure is attached to and extends between the first and second side walls. The roof structure includes roof trusses each having an inner chord. A plurality of curtain assemblies is attached to the roof structure to define an auxiliary storage capacity. At least one of the curtain assemblies is mounted adjacent to and associated with the first side wall and at least one of the curtain assemblies is mounted adjacent to and associated with the second side wall. Each of the curtain assemblies a flexible panel extending between and is attached to two inner chords. Abstract: A system for creating single and double pane window walls comprising mullions, sills, headers, other framing members and gasketing, is disclosed. The system features window pane framing extrusions which include provisions that allow the extrusions to snap together to create a framing member with a box-type cross-section. Experimentation has shown that the composite box sections have similar structural properties to unitary box sections, i.e. comparable moments of inertia and cross-sectional area and thus comparable ability to carry bending moment, transmit shear and resist buckling.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a new tension link drill floor level connection system for use on a drilling rig, as may be used in subterranean exploration. The present invention provides a tension link assembly for resisting separating forces incurred between sections of the substructure. In particular, the tension link assembly may be located at the drill floor level for resisting the separating forces imparted by “splayed” or wide leg mast structures that tend to separate substructure side boxes from the substructure center section. The present invention may be comprised of a first link element and a second link element with a tension link being connectable over the first and second link elements to resist separation between sections of the substructure. A latch mechanism may be utilized to prevent upward movement of the tension side boxes or center section relative to the drill floor or to one another.

Abstract: An evaporative pattern having a high strength is provided. An evaporative pattern 102 is a pattern for an evaporative casting. In the evaporative pattern 102, a reinforcing member 30 which is made of a non-evaporative material that does not evaporate by heat of a molten metal is embedded in a joint 114 which is made of an evaporative material that evaporates by the heat of the molten metal. The evaporative material is typically foam polystyrene. The strength of the foam polystyrene is low. Since the reinforcing member which is made of a material having strength higher than that of the evaporative material is embedded in the evaporative pattern 102 which is made of the foam polystyrene, the strength of the evaporative pattern 102 improves.
