Abstract: In antenna device, a coil conductor of an antenna coil module and a conductor layer at least partially overlap. A current flows in the conductor layer to block a magnetic field generated by a current flowing in the coil conductor. A current flows along the periphery of a slit and around the periphery of the conductor layer due to a cut-edge effect. Since magnetic flux does not pass through the conductor layer, magnetic flux attempts to bypass the conductor layer along a path in which the conductor opening of the conductor layer is on the inside and the outer edge of the conductor layer is on the outside. As a result, the magnetic flux generates large loops that link the inside and the outside of a coil conductor of an antenna on a reader/writer side to couple an antenna device and the antenna on the reader/writer side.

Abstract: A method of determining area size of sub pixels in a multi primary display for maximizing white point luminance level is provided herein. The method includes the following stages: obtaining optical properties of a backlight module and of multi primary filters for a multi primary display; obtaining a white point chromaticity for the sub-pixel layout; obtaining, for each one of the primaries intensity ratio between the color primary and the white point; representing a luminance level of the multi primary display based on obtained data, at the required white point chromaticity, as a set of equations in terms of a relative area size of the sub-pixels of the multi primary display; solving the set of equations, to yield ratios of area sizes of the sub-pixels that result in a specified value of luminance at the white point chromaticity.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes an array of pixels. Each pixel is divided into a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel, and different data voltages are separately applied to (or evolved at) the two sub-pixels, thereby enhancing the lateral side visibility. Each sub-pixel includes a sub-pixel electrode (connected to the drain electrode of a sub-pixel's switching element) overlapped with the sub-pixel's storage electrode. A first predetermined voltage is applied to the first sub-pixel and second predetermined voltage is applied the second sub-pixel, and thus the first sub-pixel electrode may receive a voltage lower than the voltage of the second sub-pixel electrode. The first sub-pixel electrode may be larger in area than the second sub-pixel electrode. The overlapping area between the first drain electrode and the storage electrode of a first sub-pixel may be larger than the overlapping area between the drain electrode and the storage electrode of a second sub-pixel.

The backlight unit comprising: a switch circuit and an oscillator. One end of the switch circuit is electrically connected with a first resistor, and another end of the switch circuit is electrically connected with a second resistor. When the switch circuit is turned on, the first resistor is connected with the second resistor in parallel. The oscillator is electrically connected with the first resistor and the switch circuit. When the switch circuit is turned off, the oscillator outputs a first frequency, and when the switch circuit is turned on, the oscillator outputs a second frequency.

Abstract: Disclosed is an application interface that takes into account the user's gaze direction relative to who is speaking in an interactive multi-participant environment where audio-based contextual information and/or visual-based semantic information is being presented. Among these various implementations, two different types of microphone array devices (MADs) may be used. The first type of MAD is a steerable microphone array (a.k.a. a steerable array) which is worn by a user in a known orientation with regard to the user's eyes, and wherein multiple users may each wear a steerable array. The second type of MAD is a fixed-location microphone array (a.k.a. a fixed array) which is placed in the same acoustic space as the users (one or more of which are using steerable arrays).
