Abstract: An apparatus including a bond head, a supplemental support, a reduction module, and a transducer is provided. The bond head holds a first substrate that contains a first set of metal pads. The supplemental support holds a second substrate that contains a second set of metal pads. The aligner forms an aligned set of metal pads by aligning the first substrate to the second substrate. The reduction module contains the aligned substrates and a reduction gas flows into the reduction module. The transducer provides repeated relative motion to the aligned set of metal pads.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a head 2 includes the steps of: (A) producing a plurality of head components Ph; (B) welding at least two of the head components Ph to each other while abutting the head components Ph on a guide core gc1; and (C) removing the guide core gc1. Preferably, the guide core gc1 is made of a water-soluble material. Preferably, at least one of the head components Ph is produced by a press process. Preferably, the guide core gc1 has a lack part Ms1. Preferably, existence of the lack part Ms1 avoids contact between a welding joint part wd1 and the guide core gc1 in the step B.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an impeller manufacturing method in which a thermal cycle is performed on an assembly body with a brazing material formed of a Ni-containing Au alloy being placed at a bond portion of at least two impeller constituent members. The thermal cycle includes a temperature increasing process with a temperature increasing rate of 20° C./hr. to 100° C./hr., the process including a first intermediate retention and a second intermediate retention each keeping the temperature, the first intermediate retention performed in a temperature range of 500° C. to 850° C. and the second intermediate retention performed in a temperature range of 850° C. to 950° C. (but not including 850° C.). In the thermal cycle, the temperature is increased in a temperature range exceeding 950° C. after the second intermediate retention at a rate lower than that before the second intermediate retention.

At the pockets, a v-shaped notch 52 between the pockets prevents bunching and a circular cut away 90a-90b provides greater access to the documents.

Abstract: A multipurpose box includes a receiving case having a space therein, an auxiliary plate extended upwardly from the receiving case, and a pair of cut portions spaced apart from each other on the auxiliary plate. The multipurpose box is capable of packaging a product and concurrently having a business card, a photograph, or the like, placed therein. The multipurpose box can be reused as a frame, or to store simple things such as office supplies and/or the like at a later time.

Abstract: The security packaging device according to the invention consists of a known cut-resistant textile structure having integrated conductive thread layers which, in the event of mechanical loading, trigger an alarm signal. When cut-resistant knitted spacer fabrics are used, the inner surfaces of the top side and the entire underside or the inner surfaces thereof are conductive. Additional weft insertion threads, which are parallel to the spacer threads, are arranged as spacers between the top side and underside, in order to prevent any unintentional contact if pressure is applied.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for realising a re-closable container made of extensible paper, which comprises at least partly inserting a closing element (5) made of paper material (extensible paper) provided with a base wall (6) and a lateral wall (7), internally of a housing compartment (4) of the container. Also comprised is a contemporary deforming step of the lateral wall (7), the sealing layer (204) and the portion of wall of the container (1), such as to realise coupling/decoupling surfaces between the closing element (5) and the container (1).

Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods for including report characterization information in a report are described herein. A report designer may request insertion of a two dimensional barcode, in the report, which encodes the report characterization information. Based on the request, a report characterization information retrieval formula may be executed to retrieve the report characterization information. The retrieved report characterization information may then be encoded to obtain a two dimensional barcode. The obtained two dimensional barcode may finally be inserted into the report. Once the report is printed, the two dimensional barcode in the report may be scanned by any device with a bar code reader, such as a smart phone to retrieve the additional information related to the report.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of product authentication and anti-counterfeiting techniques, and more specifically, to techniques employing RFID tags and encryption technologies. Embodiments of the present invention illustrate the use of RFID tags having encrypted information stored therein which upon decryption by a down-stream entity or an end user can help determine the authenticity of a product. Furthermore, the embodiments disclosed herein illustrate various examples supply chains and private key management.

Abstract: One variation of a method for controlling a payment card comprising a magnetic stripe emulator and a set of input regions includes: receiving a tap input on a surface of the payment card; in response to receiving the tap input, attempting wireless communication with a mobile computing device; suppressing a payment function of the magnetic stripe emulator in response to failed wireless communication with the mobile computing device; receiving a series of inputs through the set of input regions; authenticating the series of inputs as a passcode; and, in response to authenticating the series of inputs as the passcode, enabling the payment function of the magnetic stripe emulator.

The system comprises multiple machine-readable object identification tags configured to be respectively attached to the multiple objects; a storage unit moving through the object zone to store the selected objects which are respectively attached with the machine-readable object identification tags; at least one machine-readable storage unit identification tag attached to the storage unit; and multiple spaced reading units capable of remotely reading the multiple machine-readable object identification tags and the at least one machine-readable storage unit identification tag, wherein the objects attached with the machine-readable object identification tags within a predefined spatial range defined based on the at least one machine-readable storage unit identification tag are associated with the storage unit. A method thereof and a storage unit are also disclosed.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for obtaining consumer survey responses encoded on a reactive tag associated with an item. Prior to distributing a product to consumers, a manufacturer may affix a reactive tag to the item for gathering consumer feedback about the product. Consumer survey questions and responses may be encoded on the reactive tag, and the consumer may be able to remove a portion of the tag in order to select a consumer survey response. The reactive tag may be configured to react to the removal of a portion of the reactive tag by encoding data on the reactive tag for the consumer response and/or changing a physico-chemical state of the reactive tag for storing the consumer survey responses. When the consumer has finished with the product, the product may be received at a recycling facility, where a machine may scan the reactive tag to retrieve consumer survey responses.

Abstract: The invention provides an authentication unit for reading identification and/or authentication information from a tag or object. The authentication unit includes a near-field reader configured to read a first identification feature based on inherent disorder, and a far-field reader configured to read a second identification feature, such as a bar code, optical characters, or an RFID tag. The near-field and far-field readers may be combined in a single integrated scanning module, which also includes circuitry for receiving signals from the readers, and an interface for communicating with a host device.

The card slot has a plurality of phone pins and a plurality of reader pins. The base is disposed in the card slot and has a first accommodating area and a second accommodating area. The identification module is disposed in the first accommodating area and is electrically connected to the phone pins. The identification chip is disposed in the second accommodating area. The reader pads are disposed on the base and are adjacent to the identification chip, and the reader pads are electrically connected to the identification chip and the phone pads.

Abstract: A card reader for use with a mobile device includes a rotatable face that can be rotated over a portion of the mobile device so that when the user slides a card through the card reader, the overlapping portion of the rotatable face prevents the card reader from spinning or rotating. A foot and/or a housing for a jack on the bottom of the card reader prevents the card reader from accidently turning off the mobile device during use.

Abstract: A compressed print having one or more compressed images of a symbol is disclosed. The compressed images are formed on an image forming surface under a lenticular sheet. The lenticular sheet has a plurality of lenticules and each of the compressed images has a plurality of image elements formed under a lenticule. Each of the image elements is corresponding to a different portion of the symbol. The lenticules are designed to be so small that the compressed image formed under each of the lenticules is not discernible when a viewer looks at the compressed print at a normal viewing distance. As such, the miniaturized compressed images of the symbol can be used as an identification tag, hidden in the compressed print.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods are presented for improving image scanning. A point of sale terminal apparatus, including an imaging scanner, provides information to an operator indicating the optimal scanning position for an optical code for efficient first pass scanning by the imaging scanner. The information includes real-time video from an image capture device of the imaging scanner displayed on an operator's display device.

Abstract: There is set forth herein an indicia reading apparatus having an image sensor array including a plurality of pixels arranged in a plurality of rows and columns of pixels. The image sensor array can include a frame exposure period in which a certain subsequent and further subsequent row exposure periods have common exposure initiation times and sequential exposure termination times. An indicia reading apparatus can be controlled so that a light source bank of an illumination pattern assembly for projecting an illumination pattern is energized during an illumination period that overlaps a frame exposure period. The apparatus can be further controlled so that an illumination period terminates at or prior to an exposure termination time of the certain row.

The system provides a way to protect an aircraft from striking foreign objects, such as birds, in the path of the aircraft.

It has advantages as below: the gas-water mixture is rich in air, making the sprayer with water saving, of granular sensation and strong spraying force.

Abstract: A liquid deflection device for the nozzle of an existing spray head wherein the device is rotatably mounted on the nozzle. The device has an attaching end which clips to an existing nozzle. The attaching end is opposite a handle end which a user grasps to rotate the device to block a portion of liquid being released from the exit port of a nozzle. A deflecting end extends beyond the top of the nozzle and has a shape and size sufficient enough to deflect liquid released from the exit port. A securing portion has an opening great enough in diameter to allow a fastener of sufficient size to secure the nozzle. An additional opening on the securing portion allows a user access to a set screw on the nozzle.

Abstract: A shut-off having a flexible diaphragm valve resting on a valve seat. The force of the pressurized liquid presented to the valve lifts the diaphragm valve and opens the shut-off, when a plunger biased to hold the valve against the valve seat is lifted by movement of a handle attached to the plunger. A mechanism is provided to assist the lift-off of the diaphragm valve to provide a positive mechanical lift-off force. Such mechanism may include a projection on the diaphragm valve which is captured in the plunger, or a spring captured in an opening of the valve seat via which pressurized liquid is presented to the diaphragm valve.

A system can include a processing sub-system configured to receive a municipal solid waste stream and to remove the non-processable waste, a processing apparatus configured and disposed to receive constituents of the municipal solid waste stream from the processing sub-system and reduce the size of the constituents of the waste stream to an average particle size of less than about ¾ inch, and separators configured to sort the waste stream into constituents based on density.

Abstract: The roller mill according to the invention consists substantially of two grinding rollers which are driven in opposite directions and form between them a grinding gap for comminuting material to be ground, and a delivery chute via which the material to be ground is fed to the grinding gap. Furthermore, there is provided in the delivery chute a pressure sensor for measuring the static gas pressure, which pressure sensor is connected to a control or regulating device, which changes the circumferential speed of the grinding rollers in dependence on the measured static gas pressure. In the method according to the invention for operating the above roller mill, the static gas pressure in the delivery chute is measured and used to control or regulate the circumferential speed of the grinding rollers.
