Abstract: A tool steel family with outstanding thermal diffusivity, hardness and wear resistance has been developed, also exhibiting good hardenability. Also its mechanical strength, as well as its yield strength, at ambient and high temperature (superior to 600° C.) are high, due to a high alloying level in spite of the high thermal conductivity. Because of its high thermal conductivity and good toughness, steels of this invention have also good resistance to thermal fatigue and thermal shock. This steels are ideal for discontinuous processes where it is interesting to reduce cycle time and that require high hardness and/or wear resistance (plastic injection molding, other plastic forming processes and curing of thermosets, hot forming of sheet . . . ). These tool steels are also appropriate for processes requiring high wear resistance and good resistance to thermal fatigue (forging, hot stamping, light-alloy injection . . . ).

Abstract: A sport ball may incorporate a casing that includes a plurality of joined panels. At least one of the panels may have a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The casing defines at least one indentation in the exterior surface, and the first layer is bonded to the third layer adjacent to the indentation. In some configurations, the casing may also define at least one indentations in a surface of the third layer, which may correspond in location with the indentation in the exterior surface. Additionally, the sport ball may include an intermediate structure and a bladder located within the casing.

Abstract: The hot-melt adhesive composition contains a hot-melt adhesive, a ferromagnetic substance, and a foaming agent that foams when heated, and the hot-melt adhesive composition has: a surface magnetic force of 20 mT or more; a surface magnetic force after heating for adhesion of 5 mT or less; and a volume change ratio due to heating for adhesion of 110% to 400%. The hot-melt adhesive composition may be formed into a sheet-like shape to provide a hot-melt adhesive sheet, which exhibits an excellent adhesive force by heating and which also exhibits a sufficient temporarily fixing force due to magnetic force at the initial stage, but the magnetic force is sufficiently reduced after heating, so that the occurrence of irregularity on the surface due to magnetic force lines after heating can be suppressed.

Abstract: A first substrate advances in the first direction and a second substrate advances in the second direction. The first substrate advances onto an outer circumferential surface of a drum in a stretched state. The first substrate may be cut into discrete lengths of elastic substrate. The drum may be configured with vacuum to hold the discrete length of elastic substrate in a stretched state. The second substrate may advance in the second direction by a conveyor. The conveyor includes a roller having a curved outer surface that deforms the second substrate so as to define a curve in the first direction. A tamper apparatus intermittently displaces a deformed portion of the second substrate into contact with a discrete length of elastic substrate on the outer circumferential surface of the drum. The discrete length of elastic substrate bonds with the second substrate and is removed from the drum.
