Abstract: A slide-action stock for a semi-automatic firearm. The side-action stock includes a handle provided with an integral finger rest. The finger rest forms a cradle for the user's trigger finger. In use, the user grasps the handle with one hand while pressing the dorsal side of their index finger firmly against the cradle. When intending to fire a round of ammunition, the user pushes the receiver forward with their other hand so that the trigger collides with the stabilized index finger. Recoil force quickly separates the trigger from the user's finger against the cradle. The user pushes the receiver forward to repeat the firing cycle. A firing mode selector can be selectively engaged to restrict longitudinal movement of the trigger relative to the handle, thereby returning the firearm to normal semi-automatic functionality.

Abstract: A powder cyclone separator for use in a powder coating system is contemplated that is formed in two separate and separable sections. An upper section of the cyclone is mounted on a first frame and remains stationary. A lower section of the cyclone is mounted on a second frame that is movable laterally away from the first frame so that an operator has more ready access to clean interior surfaces of the upper section. Optionally, actuators may be provided to vertically raise and lower the cyclone lower section with respect to the cyclone upper section. Various optional alignment means are presented for aligning the cyclone upper and lower sections. Preferably, a control mechanism is mounted on the second frame which includes a switch that is manually operated by the user to raise and lower the lower section with respect to the upper section. This design allows an operator to see, and therefore verify, that virtually all internal surfaces of the cyclone have been effectively cleaned.

The electric motor is operatively connected to the impeller for providing a forward thrust of the surfboard. The improvement to the conventional surfboard also includes a throttle for selective control of the electric motor for operating the impeller to provide a forward thrust of the surfboard, the throttle being configured for use by a surfer lying in a prone position on the smooth top surface of the body of the surfboard. An extent of the surfer's energy that otherwise would be expended during paddling can be preserved for riding waves by using the impeller to provide the forward thrust during paddling.

Abstract: A projectile includes an instant adhesive rubber directly connected to a high tensile strength rope and a water parachute. The projectile can be aimed at, for example, the front one-third of the vessel. Upon impact, an energetic material, such as lead azide, can be initiated to push the rubber onto the vessel and simultaneously deploy the water parachute. The parachute may be weighted to cause the parachute to submerge in the water. A tension generated by the vessel dragging the water parachute would arrest the motion and limit the speed and mobility of the vessel without significant damage to the surface vessel or occupants.

Abstract: An in-line production apparatus and a method for composition control of copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) solar cells fabricated by a co-evaporation deposition process. The deposition conditions are so that a deposited Cu-excessive overall composition is transformed into to a Cu-deficient overall composition, the final CIGS film. Substrates with a molybdenum layer move through the process chamber with constant speed. The transition from copper rich to copper deficient composition on a substrate is detected by using sensors which detect a physical parameter related to the transition. Preferred embodiment sensors are provided that detect the composition of elements in the deposited layer. A controller connected to the sensors adjusts the fluxes from the evaporant sources in order provide a CIGS layer with uniform composition and thickness over the width of the substrate.

With the configurations of the blowing pipes, the suction pipe, and the vapor coating pipes, the inert gas blown from the blowing pipes spreads from outside to inside, thus, molecules of the coating material ejected from the vapor coating pipes can be drawn close to the disconnected portion of the disconnected line, which avoids the short circuit caused by the spread molecules of the coating material in the present coating technology and increases the success rate of the coating operation.
