Abstract: The present invention discloses a micro-channel heat exchanger comprising manifolds, a plurality of micro-channel flat tubes connected to the manifolds, and a plurality of rows of fins spaced apart by the micro-channel flat tubes. The micro-channel heat exchanger is provided with at least one bend designed to avoid the deformation of the fins on two inner sides adjacent to the bend due to crushing and meanwhile maintaining the ventilation and heat exchange functionalities of the bend. For example, the bend may include at least one row of fins where the width of the fins are less than the width of the fins on two sides adjacent to the bend. Alternatively, the gap between the fins in the bend can be greater than the gap between the fins on two sides adjacent to the bend. Still alternatively, the bend can be formed with a space for separating cores of the heat exchanger.

Abstract: A heat exchange chamber includes an inlet, an outlet and a plurality of walls defining a chamber interior. The inlet receives a heat exchange medium flowing in a first flow direction in an initial line of flow. Disposed within the chamber interior is a medium directing member, having an inclined surface, which diverts the medium from the initial flow direction so that it disperses within the chamber interior. Exposure to the contact surfaces provided by the chamber walls causes the medium to exchange heat with the chamber and the external environment. The medium exits the chamber, via the outlet, in the initial line of flow. The chambers are interconnected by tubes to form assemblies. Plural sets of chamber and tube assemblies are arranged between manifolds to provide a heat exchanger.

Abstract: A tube for use in a tube assembly for a heat exchanger includes a flat section located away from a tube end. The flat section includes broad, flat, parallel tube sides joined by narrow sides so that the tube is relatively thin in one direction. A cylindrical section extends from the end of the tube, and a transition section connects the cylindrical section and the flat tube section. The geometry of the transition section provides resistance to bending at the intersection between the flat tube section and the transition section.

Abstract: A tube assembly for use in a heat exchanger includes a flat section with broad and flat opposing tube sides. Fin structures are bonded to the broad and flat tube sides in the flat section, and side sheets are bonded to the opposite ends of the fin structures. The flat section of the tube is located between cylindrical end sections adapted to be inserted into grommets. The construction of the tube assembly provides a stiff structure to survive insertion and removal of tube assemblies to and from a heat exchanger, for example, a radiator for heavy duty equipment.

Abstract: The invention provides an enhanced oil recovery process that may be used in light oil reservoirs, and which is particularly beneficial in high-relief formations. The process includes an initial injection of air into the formation through an injection well to support the in-situ combustion and mobilize formation fluids. Produced flue gas is recovered and recycled into the formation by injection through an injection well. Initially, gas production is restricted for the purpose of increasing the gas injection to recovery ratio to pressurize the formation. With an increase in formation pressure, the rate of air injection is gradually reduced as the rate of recovered flue gas injection increases. Combustion front propagation in the formation is controlled by the rate of production at each actively producing well to ensure good horizontal sweep across the well and to prevent channeling to one or more production wells.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for assisting an operator of a motor grader to steer the motor grader in a crab steer mode. The method includes receiving an operator selection of an automatic crab steer mode, determining that a condition of the motor grader is such as to permit automatic crab steer, and receiving an operator steering command. The received operator steering command is converted to an articulation command to place the machine into a crab steer mode. The articulation command is executed and is also converted into a final steering command consistent with the articulation command, and the final steering command is then executed.

The arms are shiftable between folded and unfolded conditions, with the inboard arm defining a longitudinal axis extending along the length of the inboard arm and a transverse axis orthogonal to the longitudinal axis, with the inboard arm operable to be unfolded so that the transverse axis is substantially aligned with a forward direction in the unfolded condition. A pivot joint defines a pivot axis, with the pivot axis and transverse axis defining a lateral angle of at least twenty degrees and a vertical angle of at least twenty degrees. The outboard arm is in a laterally extended position when the arms are in the unfolded condition and in a laterally retracted position when the arms are in the folded condition.
