Abstract: A stable finely knitted fabric is disclosed which includes a plurality of yarns including filaments of about 1.5 denier or less. The yarns are knitted into a fabric using a right-leaning top triangle (RTT) pattern. The fabric includes a face side having a plurality of parallel and elongated ridges and a back side having a smooth surface without elongated ridges. The fabric exhibits a wicking action from the smooth side to the ridged side of the fabric and excellent absorption. Further, the fabric may be used as a liquid applicator, when an absorbant liquid reservoir layer is added to the back side, as channels of air between the ridges increase liquid flow from the back side to the face side.

Abstract: An extension rib extends from a pressing portion in the take-up direction of an ALR cam and is formed to be able to abut with an ALR pawl. Accordingly, when the ALR cam excessively rotates in the pull-out direction with respect to a set position in a maximal pulled-out state, the ALR pawl abuts the extension rib. Accordingly, it is possible to suppress a state in which the ALR pawl climbs over the pressing portion and engages with a V-gear. Namely, even if a rotation variation of the ALR cam becomes large by setting a speed reduction ratio of speed reduction mechanism to a small value, it is possible to absorb such variation by the extension rib. Thus, it is possible to absorb rotation variation of the ALR cam while improving accuracy of switching timing from the ELR(or ALR) state to the ALR(or ELR) state.

Abstract: One embodiment of a hands free bicycle maintenance pedaler provides means to the operator to have both hands free for adjusting, cleaning, lubricating, inspecting or locking the drive train components of a supported bicycle. One embodiment has a motor (1600) communicating with a power enclosure (1210) and a speed pedal (1205) to variably power said motor. Said motor frictionally engages with a motor plate (1500) through which an output shaft (1620) passes and frictionally engages with a crank interface arm (1700). Said crank interface arm contains a temporary connection means to a crank arm (190) using pair of connector rods (1745) along said crank arm. Said motor plate is pivotable and slidable along a carriage (1400). Said carriage is slidable along a tube (1300) or work stand (110) to achieve acceptable orientation between the device and an imaginary line through the center line of a bottom bracket of a bicycle.

Abstract: Disclosed are a bending roller apparatus and methods for use thereof for repairing a control arm of automotive suspension. An example apparatus includes a base having a saddle supporting a matrix to which the control arm is removably affixed. The matrix provides longitudinal and lateral movements and rotation of the control arm in a horizontal plane. The apparatus includes a matrix position calibration means for calibrating longitudinal, lateral and rotary positions of the matrix. The apparatus includes a bending roller positioning means for calibrating vertical and longitudinal positions of a bending roller to bring the bending roller in a contact with the upward-extending flange. The apparatus further includes bending roller means for bending the upward-extending flange inwards by rolling the bending roller along the circumference of the flange while applying a downward force on the flange thereby bending it inwards and sealing off the ball stud in the receptacle.

Abstract: An elastic tube alignment system for the mating of components utilizing the principle of elastic averaging. A plurality of geometrically separated elastic tube (male) alignment and attachment features are disposed on a first component, while a plurality of one-to-one corresponding aperture (female) alignment and attachment features are provided on a second component. During the mating of the components, each elastic tube and its respective aperture provide elastic deformation, which, on average, precisely aligns and attaches the components.

Abstract: Lightly armored vehicles and stationary objects are often the target of attacks by hollow-charge projectiles. Numerous variants of armor plating have been developed to counter such attacks, which results in additional loads, and these require expensive production. A light protective layer (1) which is simple to produce contains rods (3) arranged in a matrix, which project out from the object to be protected. If a corresponding hollow-charge projectile hits such a protective layer (1), the front nose (101) thereof is damaged, so that in most cases the initiation of the hollow charge does not occur. Preferably the rods (3) are covered externally by polymer layers (9, 10) and additionally a crumple layer (8) is attached in front of the object to be protected.
