Abstract: A stab resistant body armor and method of forming such component, wherein the component includes plurality of iron based glassy metal sheets, wherein the iron based glassy metal sheets comprise an iron based glass metal alloy including iron present in the range of 45 atomic percent to 71 atomic percent, nickel present in the range of 4 atomic percent to 17.5 atomic percent, boron present in the range of 11 atomic percent to 16 atomic percent, silicon present in the range of 0.3 atomic percent to 4.0 atomic percent and optionally chromium present in the range of 0.1 atomic percent to 19 atomic percent, and the alloy includes spinodal glass matrix microconstituent structures including one or both of a) semicrystalline phases and b) crystalline phases in a glass matrix.

Abstract: The present invention relates to body armor articles for resisting ballistic objects. The articles comprise unidirectional fabric layers and sheet layers. The unidirectional fabric layers are made from yarns having a tenacity of at least 7.3 grams per dtex and a modulus of at least 100 grams per dtex. The sheet layers comprise non-woven random oriented fibrous sheets and/or non-fibrous films. The unidirectional fabric layers and the sheet layers are stacked together comprising a first core section which includes at least two repeating units of, in order, at least one of the unidirectional fabric layers then at least one of the sheet layers. The sheet layers comprise 0.5 to 30 wt % of the total weight of the article.

Abstract: A ballistic vest carrier cover has a mantle that goes over the wearer's shoulders from the front waist to the rear waist. It has a fabric outer layer, an optional interlining, and a liner. The cover fits over a shirt so the combination appears as a standard uniform shirt. The liner attaches to the outer layer at the front and rear waist, neck, and along the sides from front armor openings to rear armor openings, producing front and rear pockets for receiving the body armor panel carriers. The panel carriers are attached using supplied straps at the waist through the armor openings and at the shoulders through tunnels between the front and rear pockets. A stretch panel extends from the cover at the rear armor opening, over the waist strap, and fastens to the cover at the front armor opening.

Abstract: A self-securing forearm guard used to protect a user's upper extremity during athletic training and competition. The current design incorporates heat moldable materials that allows an athlete to customize the guard's fit around their forearm using pressure applied by hand, and wherein the arm guard will retain the desired shape after the pressure is released, and thereby stay securely attached to said athlete's forearm without the need for straps and/or removable fasteners. The arm guard is adapted to protect a user's forearm during athletic activities such as skiing past and through ski gates, wherein it is common for a skier's forearm to intentionally contact the poles of such gates when skiing at a high rate of speed therethrough, thereby avoiding varying degrees of injury.

Abstract: A roller apparatus that either attaches to or is incorporated into a roller hockey goalie leg protective member, allowing simulation of “on ice” motion. Rolling may be accomplished through a plurality of ball bearings, protruding from a plane of an apparatus, as well as a plurality of cavities wherein ball bearings may be housed. A recess in the cavities may allow for impact to be absorbed while still allowing the ball bearings to freely roll in one or preferably every direction. Apparatus containing ball bearings may be located on the landings of a roller hockey goalie leg protective member, or other areas most likely to come in contact with a dry surface.

Abstract: A pants guard to protect a pants leg of a pair of pants comprising a cylindrical body, where the cylindrical body envelops the pants leg; a band at a top portion of the cylindrical body, where the band wraps around a leg of a user; and a strap attached to a bottom of the cylindrical body, where the strap warps beneath a shoe of the user. The cylindrical body includes a closure to open and close the body along a side, where the closure is a hook and loop fastener, a zipper or a plurality of buttons. The cylindrical body further includes a skirt around a bottom edge, where the skirt protects the shoe from debris.

Abstract: Systems and methods for apparel, wearable items, decor items, and other apparatuses configured to support a handheld device configured to generate a display are presented. Some garments are presented that have a wearable pocket for at least partially supporting a handheld device configured to generate a display that is at least partially visible through one or more apertures in the garment. Some apparel systems are presented that are configured to display an animation through a wearable prop. Ornamental designs for surface indicia, including color surface indicia, are also presented.

Abstract: Variable compression garments may use an elastomer such as silicone printed on a textile to create a varying amount of compressive force along a limb. Greater amounts of elastomer may be used to create greater amounts of compressive force.

Abstract: A shirt having an indicia disposed on the inner side of a shirt panel is provided. The shirt may be reversed and inverted, i.e. the panel is lifted over the user's head while a collar remains about the user's neck. This garment is called a robe, but, it can resemble a robe, blanket or sleeping bag. It can be made to expose the feet for walking around in like a robe. It can be made to cover the feet, especially when in a prone or supine position like a blanket. It fully covers the body in 360 degrees like a sleeping bag. A person steps into the garment through a vertical mid-body zipper opening. To expose or cover the feet a drawstring is attached about a foot from the floor. There are seven circular images on the front of the robe—strategically placed in the positions that represent the 7 chakra centers and their colors. On the back of the robe, there is a spiral from the crown of the robe to the base of the spine.

Abstract: An improved device for restraining the two ends of a necktie is described. The device, which will be referred to as a “tieloop,” consists of an elongated member having first and second ends, with first and second magnetic members positioned at those ends, respectively, enabling the ends to be coupled and uncoupled. The second magnetic member is complimentary to the first magnetic member so as to enable selective coupling between the first end and the second end. In one preferred embodiment, the first end of the tieloop is inserted into the seam of a necktie, and the second end of the tieloop couples to the first end on the opposite site of the necktie seam to selectively couple the tieloop to the necktie, thereby forming a loop.

Abstract: A mitten hand covering which can be reconfigured from a closed end condition covering the fingers and thumb to a condition where the fingers and thumb may be protruded through openings to be exposed for improved dexterity. The hand covering is made from a sheet of material folded up and sewn along perimeter edges of an auxiliary section and subsection of a main section of a pattern formed by the sheet.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, an article of headwear includes a main body having a front portion and an opposite rear portion. The main body has a closeable opening (e.g., slit) formed therein and extending along a length thereof. The article of headwear also includes a fastener mechanism disposed along closeable opening for selectively closing at least two portions of the closeable opening. The fastener is configured such that it defines ends of the opening and permits both a location and length of the opening to be varied. The fastener can be in the form of a zipper with two sliders located along the zipper track.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed for preventing eating. A head covering is shaped to surround a user's head. The head covering includes a neck portion positioned to contact the user's neck, and a mouth portion positioned to cover the user's mouth. The mouth portion includes breathable material configured to obstruct the passage of food into the user's mouth. A security device is configured to secure the neck portion around the user's neck.

Abstract: An attachable sleeve that may be secured to a bra. The attachable sleeve may include a tubular body with a top end and a bottom end. The attachable sleeve may further include a plurality of straps attached to the tubular body at the top end. The plurality of straps may include a first strap, a second strap and a third strap. The first strap and the second strap may attach together over the shoulder of a user to keep the sleeve secured to the underarm. The third strap may go under the bra, wrap around, and connect to the first strap, second strap, and bra of the user. Once connected, the third strap may hold the attached first and second strap on the shoulder preventing the straps from slipping down as well as holding the sleeve securely to the upper arm.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable urine container extension device for removable attachment to a prior art container containing a disinfectant. The device is preferably comprised of a first end having an exterior threaded portion, a second end having an interior threaded portion, a continuous opening extending from said first end to said second end, and a cap. The cap forms a waterproof seal with the first end, and the second end forms a waterproof seal with the container, thereby resulting in a portable urine collection device. The device enables a user to urinate comfortably when restrooms are not readily accessible. The device may accommodate men, women and/or children, and enables a disinfectant to remain in the container during use thereby reducing unwanted odors and the risk of health related problems commonly associated with holding in one's urine.

The shower water blocker also includes an adhesive that attaches the base drain to each front corner of the bathtub and a vertical curved blocker that extends perpendicularly upward from the base drain to further direct water into the bathtub.

Abstract: A bench with a height adjustable top assembly that functions both as a massage platform when in the raised position and a bench for seating when in the lowered position and is designed with the aesthetic characteristics of furniture that can be left in place when not in use as a massage platform. The massage platform is raised into position by lifting the ends of the massage platform top assembly. The manual power assist assembly provides assistance when raising the top assembly. When not in use as a massage platform the top assembly can be lowered to rest on the base assembly and can be used for seating. Further, a portion of the top assembly massage platform can be raised providing a back rest with multiple reclining positions.

Abstract: An infant changing pad cover and a changing pad cover topper securable to each other with hook and loop fastener material are provided. Though specifically designed for use with a two-sided infant changing pad, both items can also be used with a four-sided pad, though fit may suffer. Either hook or loop fastener material is sewn to the pad in strips. Strips of the opposite fastener material (hook or loop) are sewn to the lower surface of the pad cover topper in a direction transverse to those sewn to the pad cover. The pad cover can be sewn much like a fitted bottom sheet, or it can completely envelope the changing pad and have a one-end opening that can be closed with either a zipper or hook and loop fasteners. The pad cover topper is easily removable from the changing pad cover for hand or machine washing.
