  • Patent number: 8692906
Abstract: A luminance signal generation apparatus capable of suppressing an occurrence of aliasing at near horizontal and vertical Nyquist regions in the case of an achromatic object. An OG signal is generated by interpolating a green signal on pixels other than green pixels, and an SWY signal is generated as luminance signals at positions of pixels for respective colors. An angle determination signal is generated according to a direction of an edge of an image signal, and hierarchical image signals having different frequencies are generated from the image signal. Based on results of determination of false color region in the hierarchical image signals, one of the hierarchical image signals is selected. According to an angle determination signal and a chroma signal obtained from the selected hierarchical image signal, the OG signal and the SWY signal are mixed to generate a final luminance signal.

  • Patent number: 8692912
Abstract: This disclosure describes an apparatus and method of multi-spectral imaging to obtain and analyze information contained in the spectral distribution (reflection, absorption, or emission) of components within the image. The spectral information is captured in a series of images from differing spectral regions. This series of images are then combined into a composite image using re-colorization and image stabilization algorithms for display in real time. The process can be repeated continuously allowing spectral changes over time to be captured and analyzed. In the alternative one sequence of images can be captured for use as a still image.

Abstract: There is provided a video processing device capable of reducing the influence of a disturbance of an input vertical synchronization signal. When the synchronization signal detecting unit detects an input of the input-side vertical synchronization signal at a predetermined cycle, the synchronization signal control unit outputs the input-side vertical synchronization signal, which has been input, as an output-side vertical synchronization signal, and, when the synchronization signal detecting unit detects an input of a next input-side vertical synchronization signal before the predetermined cycle elapses after the output of the output-side vertical synchronization signal, a next input-side vertical synchronization signal input before the predetermined cycle elapses is not output as a next output-side vertical synchronization signal, and an input-side vertical synchronization signal input further next is output as the next output-side vertical synchronization signal.

  • Patent number: 8692942
Abstract: Provided is a data processing apparatus including a correction circuit. In at least one embodiment, the data correction circuit acquires pixel data of a first pixel for display of a first color component and pixel data of a second pixel for display of a second color component, the second pixel being driven by a scanning signal line which drives the first pixel and being driven by a data signal line which is adjacent to the first pixel, and corrects the pixel data of the second pixel in accordance with a relationship between a value of the pixel data of the first pixel and a value of the pixel data of the second pixel. Thus, it is possible to cause a liquid crystal driving panel to perform uniform display without causing display unevenness even in a case where a halftone of a specific color component is uniformly displayed.
