Abstract: The present disclosure provides an image processing apparatus to be newly improved that can easily generate contents having three-dimensional images. The image processing apparatus generates a plurality of plane images and sets the virtual distances of a depth direction to the plurality of generated plane images, respectively. The image processing apparatus converts the plurality of plane images into a three-dimensional image where the space positions of objects of the plurality of plane images are set, on the basis of the virtual distances set to the plurality of generated plane images, and obtains data of the three-dimensional image. In addition, the image processing apparatus displays an editing screen that generates the plurality of plane images. The editing screen displays the plurality of plane images individually or to be overlapped and displays the plane images by providing tabs to the plane images, respectively.

Abstract: A method for representing a moving object as it moves along a path in a three-dimensional coordinate system. A processor determines a direction of an animated motion of a three-dimensional object moving along a path from a starting location to a second location. The processor draws pairs of vectors from the starting location by performing a series of mathematical functions, where the tips of each pair of vectors identify two points of a three-dimensional mesh, and where the mathematical functions are functions of the starting location, of the location of a point on the object when the object is at the second location, and of the direction of motion of the object along the path. The processor further adjusts characteristics of the mesh and determines, as a function of the adjusted mesh, a characteristic of the animated object, such as its orientation in space, at the second location.

Abstract: A method for analyzing a shape of a 3D model based on perceptive information comprises: decomposing the shape of the 3D model to generate decomposition results; and extracting a skeleton from the decomposition results. This invention can be applied to shape decomposition of objects having different shapes. The 3D models can be regular or with noise, containing either multiple annular structures or no annular structure. The decomposition method of this invention is not sensitive to noise, and the segmentation speed is high and accurate. The segmentation result of the invention can be widely applied to different branches of computer graphics and computer vision, such as computer animation, modeling, shape analysis, shape classification, object identification, etc. The skeleton extracted from the decomposition result and the following shape semantic description diagram can he applied to 3D model retrieval, model semantic analysis and so on.

  • Publication number: 20140125665
Abstract: A method for representing characteristics of an animated object as it traverses a path through a three-dimensional coordinate system. The path is broken into a sequential series of subpaths (or “courses”) and each pair of adjacent courses shares a common boundary point. A processor associates each boundary point with a three-dimensional wireframe mesh defined by a set of vector pairs. Each vector pair is computed as a function of a position of one point on the object's surface when the object traverses the boundary point. When animating the object, the processor may adjust animation or display characteristics along each course as a function of the wireframe meshes at that course's boundary points. Such characteristics may be related to representing the course, the object, a background, or other displayed entities, and may include combinations of attributes like color, texture, reflectance, size, orientation, font, or animation speed.

An embodiment includes grouping a plurality of 3D model facades and aligning each group of facades with aerial imagery. The embodiment further comprises identifying if a space between the facades is located within or outside a 3D model, generating a roof that connects plurality of facades and texturing the generated roof with the aerial imagery. In this way, when 3D data is limited to 3D model facades and lacks roof (and vertical face) information, embodiments of the invention create complete 3D models by generating a roof that connects plurality of facades and texturing the generated roof with the aerial imagery. This greatly improves user experience as 3D models closely approximate their respective real world counterparts.

The rendering device further determines whether a pixel is contained in the interpolation range. Abstract: A device for processing video information has an input unit (112) for receiving the video information having low dynamic range [LDR] video data and/or high dynamic range [HDR] video data, and a video processor (113) for generating a display signal for display in a LDR display mode or HDR display mode. Graphics data is processed for generating an overlay for overlaying the video data. The input unit receives graphics processing control data comprised in the video information, the graphics processing control data including at least one HDR processing instruction for overlaying the graphics data in the HDR display mode. The video processor is constituted for adapting the processing when overlaying the graphics data in dependence on the specific display mode and the HDR processing instruction. Advantageously the source of the video information is enabled to control the processing of graphics in HDR display mode via the HDR processing instruction.

Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for generating and providing augmented video content to viewers. In one implementation, a media player executed by a user device obtains playlist data identifying underlying video content and elements of overlay content. The media player may generate augmented video content by merging an element of the overlay content into the underlying video content at a temporal position within the underlying video content that is relevant to the overlay content element, and further, may present the augmented video content to a viewer. The media player may detect a triggering event during the presentation of the augmented video content, and may modify the augmented video content in response to the triggering event.

Further, the controller sets first and second modes as a control mode, the first mode in which the light source emits light, and the second mode in which the light source emits light with brightness lower than in the first mode. In the first mode, the controller sets the gradation ratio of the normal display pixel and the gradation ratio of the particular display pixel at a particular time to a maximum ratio.
