Abstract: An apparatus for controlling an air conditioner and a method for operating the same are provided. The apparatus may include a control apparatus that enables easy access to data for the air conditioner, to determine and control an operation state thereof visually, and for which a mode of reception of the data from the air conditioner may be different corresponding to connection modes and positions of a plurality of component devices of the air conditioner to which the control apparatus is connected, making the data received thus different from one another according to the connection modes. These differences in the data permit various data to be easily displayed, enabling a user to change the connection modes as required, and to provide various information on the air conditioner by producing the data of the air conditioner in a frame on an output different from one another.

Abstract: A refrigerant management system controls the supply of refrigerant from two or more variable speed and fixed speed compressors to a plurality of cryogenic refrigerators. The system employs a plurality of sensors to monitor and regulate the overall refrigerant supply to deliver an appropriate refrigerant supply to each of the cryogenic refrigerators. The amount of refrigerant to supply is based on an aggregate demand for refrigerant from the plurality of cryogenic refrigerators and a refrigerant correction metric. An appropriate supply of refrigerant is distributed to each cryogenic refrigerator by adjusting the speed of the variable speed compressors or, alternatively, selectively turning the compressors on or off. The speed of the variable speed compressors is adjusted by determining an amount of refrigerant to supply to the plurality of cryogenic refrigerators.

Abstract: A system includes a control module and a monitor module. The control module selectively operates a component of the system in an ON state. The system receives power from an electrical grid. The monitor module selectively detects a fault event of the electrical grid in response to (i) an amount of current drawn by the component or (ii) a voltage of power received by the component. In response to detecting the fault event, the control module switches the component from the ON state to a second state, determines a first delay period according to a random process, identifies an apparent conclusion of the fault event, and in response to the apparent conclusion of the fault, waits for the first delay period before switching the component back to the ON state. The component consumes less power in the second state than in the ON state.

  • Publication number: 20140130532
Abstract: A refrigeration system utilizing natural circulation of heat to carry out defrosting thereof provides a refrigeration cycle path and a defrost cycle path, and is characterized by a heat energy storage device located at an output of a compressor that is common for the two cycle paths. High-temperature high-pressure overheated refrigerant output by the compressor passes through the heat energy storage device and releases part of heat energy thereto for storage. When the refrigeration system is switched from the refrigeration cycle path to the defrost cycle path, the compressor is turned off and three-way valves upstream an evaporator are opened, a pressure difference between the heat energy storage device and the evaporator drives the hot refrigerant to directly flow through the three-way valves into a coil of the evaporator to melt frost on the coil from inner to outer side while the refrigerant keeps circulating along the defrost cycle path.

Abstract: The invention concerns a process for roll straightening crankshafts (8, 8?) using crankshaft deep rolling tools (1 to 7), in particular work rollers (18,19) which, while the crankshaft (8, 8?) is rotated about its axis of rotation (21), are pressed into the recesses (14 to 17) or radii that delimit the bearing pins (Hi, Pi) on either side with a roll straightening force (27, 30) that constantly fluctuates around the circumference of a bearing pin (H1 to H5, P1 to P4). Roll straightening is carried out by determining the individual vector (34) of the runout by size and direction (35) at each main bearing (Hi) of the crankshaft (8, 8?).

Abstract: A hydraulic expander for use in a tube containing a U-bend region is disclosed and claimed. The tool includes a sheath for transmitting hydraulic fluid therethrough to an inflatable bladder. The sheath is flexible, allowing it to be inserted through the U-bend region of the tube. The bladder is fluidly connected to the sheath and is thereby in fluid communication with a supply of hydraulic fluid. The length of the bladder and the metal end caps, along with the centering spacers on the expansion sheath, allows it to pass through the U-bend region of the tube such that it can be positioned inside the tube adjacent to a support outside the tube, such as an AVB. Hydraulic expansion of the bladder causes it to exert an outward force on the tube inner surface, causing it to plastically deform such that its outer surface comes into contact with the tube support, such as an AVB. This expansion will increase the friction between the tube and the AVB to minimize the risk of tube vibration damage.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed which relate to a wire bending apparatus capable of both on and off-plane nose and mandrel bends. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention incorporate a center turret cluster with a plurality of radii possible, a nose-bending mandrel, and a mandrel-bending mandrel. This apparatus forms a bending head that is attached to a CNC wire bending machine. This combination allows increased flexibility in forming complex wire forms and cuts down secondary operations, such as operations from robot arms, sometimes associated with CNC wire bending. In addition, the turret cluster position in the center allows for bending support with mandrel bends or nose bending on the back side of the bending head, usually 180 degrees away from the normal bending area. This allows the manufacturing of double end-loop forms without the addition of external clamps or robotic manipulation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a checking unit for checking a material web and to a calibrating method for the checking unit. The checking unit is equipped with drive means for transporting the calibration medium past the checking unit in order to detect a multiplicity of measurement values of the calibration medium. The drive means are arranged in the housing of the checking unit in order for the drive means to be protected from moisture or contaminants from the environment. To obtain a transporting of the calibration medium past the checking unit in spite of the arrangement of the drive means in the housing, drive means are employed that are configured for a contactless interaction with the calibration medium and can transport the calibration medium past the checking unit contactlessly. For this purpose there is preferably used a magnetic interaction between the drive means and the calibration medium.

A tool is chosen, assembled in the tool seat, and includes a total tool length. A second coordinate is set based on a second datum mark of a measuring unit. The tool seat is moved to make a machining end of the tool contact with the second coordinate to obtain a relative total length in between the first and the second coordinate. The total tool length subtracts from the relative total length equals an assembled offset length. The total tool seat assembling length subtracts from the relative total length equals and obtains a tool assembling length.
