Abstract: To abut hollow profiled parts, at least two frames includes actuators distributed in an equivalent manner to one another. Each actuator includes a portion which can be displaced in a plane common to the other actuators of the frame so as to project from the frame; the frames are each positioned in an end region of a respective part. The equivalent actuators are mutually opposed; the mobile portions of the actuators of one frame and of the actuators of the other frame are displaced into respective working positions, in which they exert forces on the wall of their respective part so that the end regions of these parts match one another; the parts are fixed to one another in their respective end regions.

Abstract: The present application relates to connectors that uses canted coil springs to retain a pin to a housing. The connectors have increased disconnect to connect force ratios. Dual concentric spring configuration allows for an initial locking configuration that can be overcome with higher force and deflection of the second spring. Dual springs in series in a constrained groove can require a high force for connector disconnect, since force vectors may be in a direction relatively close to being along the spring major axis. A curved groove wall can offer resistance to a spring that is required to slide first into the groove in order to allow disconnect.

Abstract: A shape measuring machine includes a slider that supports a scanning probe including a tip sphere. A scale unit detects a displacement of the slider. A tip sphere displacement detection unit detects a displacement of the tip sphere. A calculation unit includes a correction filter and an adder, and calculates a measurement value from the displacements of the slider and the tip sphere. The correction filter outputs a correction value that is obtained by correcting the displacement of the tip sphere detected by the tip sphere displacement detection unit based on an inverse characteristic of a frequency transfer characteristic from the scale unit to the tip sphere. The adder calculates the measurement value by adding the displacement of the slider detected by the scale unit and the correction value.

Abstract: A spherical-form measuring apparatus includes a turntable 5, a holding unit 10 for holding the sphere 20, and a probe 6 for measuring a contour of a sphere part 22 of the sphere 20. The holding unit 10 includes a base part 12, a vertical holding part 14 and an inclined holding part 16 which are placed at separate positions on the base part 12. The vertical holding part 14 holds the stem part 24 of the sphere 20 with it set in a direction perpendicular to the turntable 5. The inclined holding part 16 holds the stem part 24 with it set in a direction at an angle. The vertical and inclined holding part 14, 16 are disposed such that their axial lines meet at an intersection point P and such that the distance from the point P to the vertical holding part 14 agrees with the distance from the point P to the inclined holding part 16.

A last, having an exterior surface configured to correspond to the size and shape of the interior surface of the footwear product, is covered with a microcellular lining material. An injection mold comprises shells having a pre-determined configuration to cooperate with the exterior surface of the lining covered last to form: (i) a pre-injection cavity between the shells and the lining covered last when in position in the mold for injection molding; and, (ii) an injection cavity, defining the configuration of the footwear product, between the shells and the lining covered last when injection material is being injected into the injection cavity whereby the injection pressure causes the microcellular lining material to reconfigure the pre-injection cavity.

Abstract: The invention generally relates to footwear for sports, and particularly to a footwear system for improved athletic performance. The invention provides a footwear system for athletes in which elements provide padding and prevent slippage between an athlete and the ground. The elements are arranged according to precision measurements of maximal stresses that occur between the sole of the feet and the ground during an athletic performance. Using a system of the invention, an athlete avoids unpredictable slippage during a performance and also positions their feet consistently, with the result that performance is consistent and commensurate with equipment choice and physical abilities.
