  • Patent number: 8776336
Abstract: A first metal film is formed on a piezoelectric substrate surface. A pattern of openings forming a first resist mask is formed in the first metal film. Portions of the metal film are removed by etching. The substrate is brought into contact with a first etching solution to remove substrate material to shape an outer surface. After, openings in the first metal film are filled in with a second metal film. The substrate is shaped into a first plurality of piezoelectric resonators using a second etching solution. Rough frequency adjustment is conducted by etching side surfaces of the substrate in increments and cutting a piezoelectric resonator from the substrate. The rough frequency adjustment continues until a measured oscillation frequency is within a predetermined frequency range. Electrode patterns then are formed for each one of the second plurality of piezoelectric resonators.

  • Patent number: 8776343
Abstract: During implementing a composite metal part by compaction of an insert having reinforcing fibers in a metal body or container, gas used for compaction may enter the cavity formed in the container for receiving the insert between a lid covering the insert and the container, which can prevent or degrade compaction and diffusion welding of fiber sheaths of the insert therebetween and/or with walls of the cavity. To solve this problem, the present method includes initiating isostatic compaction by a phase including raising and maintaining temperature, followed by a phase including hot-feeding pressurized gas, and machining an assembly to obtain the part. The temperature raising phase includes a diffusion pre-welding of material rigidly connecting the pressure-adjusted walls of the lid and the container. The method can be used for designing parts having a tensile and compression resistance, such as parts for aircraft landing gear.

Abstract: After melted enamel coating is discharged, a fusion process of electrical wire-to-wire connection is carried out inside a crimping connector. In the conductor connection method based on the fusion process, a plurality of enamel-coated conductor wires are inserted in the crimping connector prior to the start of the fusion process. Further, a temporary crimping process that provides the crimping connector a temporary crimping by mechanical pressurizing means is also performed. Addition of force at both end parts or either end part of the cross-section orthogonal to the axis of the above crimping connector may cause expansion, which needs to be suppressed with external force. At the same time, the cross-sectional areas corresponding to both end parts or either end part should preferably be as small as possible. The temporary crimping is applied to the crimping connector for this purpose.

  • Patent number: 8776371
Abstract: The invention refers to a method of brazing together thin heat exchanging plates of an iron based base material provided with port holes and a pressing pattern of elevations and depressions over the heat exchanging area of the plates and, if present, also over the distribution area to a plate heat exchanger. The plates are coated with brazing material and are arranged such that contact between elevations and depressions in adjacent plates is obtained prior to the brazing together. The plates are then brazed together at the resultant contact points. Only 5-40%, preferably 10-30%, of the heat exchanging area and the distribution area are coated with brazing material prior to the brazing.
