Abstract: The invention relates to a method of preparation of lamellar porous microstructures and nanostructures of various density based on controlled vacuum freeze-drying of a liquid dispersion of nanoparticles. The liquid dispersion of particles is rapidly freezed into solid state inside a tightly closed volume. In this form it is submitted to vacuum freeze-drying with required rate of sublimation of molecules of a liquid dispersion medium, until their total removal, accompanied by the creation of lamellar microstructures and nanostructures. The orientation of the normal vector of the dominant surface of sublimation interface can be set with regard to the required properties of the final sublimate structure from vertically upwards to vertically downwards. The sublimation rate is adjusted by combination of vacuum depth and external heating of the sublimation interface of the frozen material.

Abstract: A freeze-drying apparatus (1) includes an arrangement of individual product platforms (19) that are supported vertically in a frame (20) in a drying chamber, in which each platform is able to be moved to a shift level, in which lateral guides (20, 21) designed to support a carriage (15) are arranged with a fixed height position, and which cooperate with the guides (16, 18) of a loading and unloading device. All product platforms (19) in the drying chamber can be loaded by repeating this operation cyclically. In order to unload the drying chamber, the arrangement of the product platforms (19) are moved to such a position above the shift level in which the carriage (15) can be moved as far as its rear limit position inside the drying chamber, travelling underneath each loaded product platform (19).

Further provided is an application method of the sludge drying composite conditioner, which comprises the steps of: adding a Fenton's reagent or/and Fenton-like reagent in a sludge, performing stirring and mixing, and performing an oxidation reaction; and adding a matrix construct to the sludge added with the Fenton's reagent or/and Fenton-like reagent and performing stirring and mixing.

Abstract: A method for operating a dishwasher having a sorption drying device includes performing a desorption process using the sorption drying device according to a selected cleaning cycle of the dishwasher. The desorption process is capable of releasing moisture.

Abstract: A lavatory system includes a hand dryer with at least a first proximity sensor and a second proximity sensor to detect an object for drying. A controller is communicatively linked to the first and second proximity sensors. The controller activates a drying operation after a first delay period if the first proximity sensor first detects the object for drying and activates a drying operation after a second delay period if the second proximity sensor first detects the object for drying. A filter flow sensor may also be provided to ensure proper filtering of the dryer's air.

An exemplary device may include one or more reservoirs for holding a solid, semisolid, liquid or gaseous substance that may be released outside the device. Exemplary devices enable sustained release of their contents over a predetermined period of time, for example, up to a month or more. Exemplary devices also enable release of the contents according to, for example, predetermined release rates and profiles customized for the use of the device. Each reservoir of the device may include one or more apertures through which the contents may be released outside the reservoir. Each aperture may be covered by one or more porous membranes to allow sustained release of the contents of the reservoir.
