Abstract: The present disclosure provides a valve comprising a flange part and a valve element. The flange part comprises a tubular section defining an axial direction. The valve element is made of resilient material and mounted in the tubular section of the flange part. One or more cut-outs are formed in a side wall of the valve element. At least part of the side wall is arranged in abutment with an inner wall of the tubular section. When a force is applied along the axial direction, the valve element stretches, causing the cut-outs to move at least partly out of the tubular section. This establishes a fluid connection through the flange part via the cut-outs, opening the valve. When the force is removed, the valve element resumes its relaxed state, restoring its shape and size and moving the cut-outs into the tubular section, interrupting the fluid connection and closing the valve.

The tank holds the fill. The filling element controls delivery of fill from the tank into the container. The processing unit provides the fill to the tank. The by-pass pipe connects to the filling element. The pump returns a residual quantity from the tank to the processing unit. The residual quantity is a quantity of one of the fill and a by-pass volume flow from the filling element. The overflow pipe returns an unneeded quantity of fill to the processing unit. The method includes, using a by-pass pump embodied as a displacement pump, actively drawing the residual quantity from the filling element or tank.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a vial adaptor comprises a housing configured to couple the adaptor with a vial, an access channel, a regulator channel, and a regulator assembly. The access channel is configured to facilitate withdrawal of fluid from the vial when the adaptor is coupled to the vial. The regulator channel is configured to facilitate a flow of a regulating fluid from the regulator assembly to compensate for changes in volume of a medical fluid in the vial. In some embodiments, the regulator assembly includes a flexible member configured to expand and contract in accordance with changes in the volume of the medical fluid in the vial. In some embodiments, the flexible member is substantially free to expand and contract. In some embodiments, the flexible member is not partly or completely located in a rigid enclosure.

Abstract: A (1) piping grid, nozzles and/or deflectors and/or diffusers placed on the piping at a certain intervals, and (2) header pipes connecting the piping grid to (3) an inert gas generator via (4) a compressor and (5) an optional cooler support efficient and effective injection of inert gases into all regions and volume of ships' steel ballast tanks, retarding or avoiding corrosion. Efficiency in use of generated inert gas, effective entrance of inert gas into ballast tank spaces that may be remote and/or difficult of access, and minimization of the elapsed time to fill the tank with inert gas while discharging essentially all oxygen-containing air previously within the tank, are all realized by progressive, staged, insertion of cooled inert gases from tank bottom to tank top, marshaling contained air and expelling it out the tank tops.

The fluid dispenser also has a fluid flow meter located along said fluid flow path, a control system, and a recirculation subsystem. The recirculation subsystem has a bypass valve located along one of the first and second flow paths. The bypass valve is operative to prevent fluid communication between the first and second fluid flow paths when the fluid dispenser is in use and to allow fluid communication between the first and second fluid flow paths when the fluid dispenser is not in use. Methods of measuring the flow rate of a fluid in the fluid dispenser are also disclosed.

The cover sleeve is elastic so that it can reduce in diameter so as to press against the stent strut, and expand in diameter so as to be spaced apart from the stent strut. The stent strut can include a lumen into which material is injected. When pressed against the stent strut, the cover sleeve seals side openings to the lumen and prevents injected material from leaking out of the side openings during the injection process.

A flange surrounding an inlet opening is positioned spaced from the collection area. When the funnel is placed in a vertical orientation with the base surface of the collection area contacting a horizontal surface, a lowermost edge of the flange surrounding the inlet opening is aligned with the base surface of the collection area. The funnel is thereby supported in a vertical orientation on the horizontal surface by two contact points. In this position, the residual fluid in the funnel is transferred by gravity to collect within the collection area. No residual fluid is allowed to escape from the interior of the funnel.
