One or both of the housing and the fastener cartridge body define an annular containment groove. The circular cartridge buttress member has a body portion and an extension portion. The body portion is supported on the tissue engaging surface of the fastener cartridge body. The extension portion extends from the body portion and over the annular edge of the tissue engaging surface. The retaining ring member is secured within the containment groove to releasably secure the extension portion of the circular cartridge buttress member to the cartridge assembly.

For location of stents in a bodily lumen, it is customary to equip the end annulus of a stent with radiopaque markers. The present invention involves arranging the markers so that they share with non-marker portions of the end annulus the stresses imposed in the stent by the end pushing, whereby the high stresses are shared more equally by all the struts of the stent in the end annulus.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for implementing virtual customer replaceable unit monitors (CRUMs) for solid ink customer replaceable units (CRUs) that are used in image forming devices, particularly in managed print service environments. Molded products, including solid ink elements, are marked to aid in generally effecting identification and/or authenticity verification, and/or in specifically effecting compatibility matching in an image forming device in which the solid ink CRUs are used. One or more ultraviolet (UV) ink based two dimensional 2D barcodes are provided on a solid ink CRU for identification of the solid ink CRU by a reading mechanism in an image forming device. The use of a UV ink that is not easily visually discernible provides a level of protection against easily detecting, and attempting to copy the identifying information. The image forming process would essentially consume the virtual CRUM on the solid ink CRU in image processing.

The signal may be read by a portable reader carried by municipal personnel to record violations of municipal code associated with the use of the discreet receptacle.

The medication may also be kept in its original container. An encoder disk may be attached to a medicine container. The encoder disk may be encoded with a dosing frequency that indicates how frequently the medication should be taken, as well as any other desired information. A base station may be configured to accept and hold one or more medicine containers. The base station may be configured to read the encoded dosage from the encoder disk, an RFID tag, a barcode, or another component capable of conveying dosing information, and detect when the medicine container is removed from and placed on the base station. The base station may also include various indicators of its current state.

The system and method may include checking-in PCD consumers upon entering an establishment of a merchant. The checking-in of the PCD consumer may include verifying credentials for gaining access to a central mobile payment controller and receiving a merchant identifier corresponding to a merchant from a computer communication's network. Next, a scan of a machine-readable code associated with at least one of a good and a service may be received. Information associated with the machine-readable code may be retrieved from a database. Subsequently, a personalized price for the at least one good or service may be determined by applying one or more rules. The personalized price may be transmitted over a computer communications network to the portable computing device for display to the PCD consumer.

With the above method and device for automatically converting a sign, various signs can be automatically converted to machine readable signs, so that people and machines can easily understand these signs.

The device includes an imaging unit provided with an imaging element, a depth-of-field extending unit, and an optical distorting unit. The imaging unit captures an optical image formed on a light-receiving surface of the subject. The depth-of-field extending unit acquires a focused image regardless of distance to the subject, within a predetermined read-out range. In the optical distorting unit, the captured optical image is distorted such that i) the focused image at a minimum distance in the read-out range includes an overall image of the code and ii) the focused image at a maximum distance in the read-out range is provided so as to allow at least a predetermined number of pixels to be assigned to a unit image of the code.

A tube may extend from below one of the reservoirs to another spray head supported by one of the brackets. In use, the system may be suspended from trellis wires in an agricultural field. Water, pesticides or other liquids are supplied to the system through the tubing. The size of the reservoirs and the volume of tubing can be selected to hold the desired amount of liquid for a given application. After the system is primed with liquid, the tubing is connected to a source of pressurized air. The air is supplied to the system at a sufficient pressure so as to force the liquid from the system through the spray heads.

Abstract: An adjustable dual chamber spraying device including a device body including a handle, a trigger, a first solution passage configured to draw a first solution from a first chamber when the first chamber is pressurized, a second solution passage configured to draw a second solution from a second chamber when the second chamber is pressurized, a valve core coupled with an adjustment knob, an output solution passage configured to carry an output solution, and a nozzle assembly coupled with the output solution passage. The valve core is configured to adjust a ratio of the first solution and the second solution based on a position of the adjustment knob. Actuation of the trigger causes dispensing of the output solution.

Abstract: A multipoint injector includes a nozzle body defining a fluid inlet in fluid communication with a plurality of feed bores. A plurality of swirl chambers is defined radially outward from the fluid inlet of the nozzle body in fluid communication with the fluid inlet through the feed bores. A plurality of injection orifices are respectively aligned in fluid communication with the swirl chambers for issuing a swirling spray of fluid passing from each swirl chamber through each injection orifice.
