Abstract: A knuckle protection device for covering and protecting an individual's knuckles includes an elongate body section including an interior segment for covering and protecting the individual's knuckles and end segments to be secured to the inner surface of an individual's hand when the interior segment is covering the individual's knuckles. A plurality of transversely spaced apart attachment strips are joined to and extend outwardly from an elongate side edge of the interior segment and are positioned to be received between fingers of an individual's hand and secured to the inner surface of the hand when the interior segment is covering and protecting the individual's knuckles.

Abstract: The present application relates to an interwoven silicon pad utilizing individual silicone bands. The bands form a single seamless loop or may include a single strand of silicone. The silicone bands are interwoven into a preselected pattern having a selected dimension. Silicone bands are removable from the interwoven pad on an individual basis to facilitate customization by a user and also repair. Each pad is heat resistant, non-porous, and non-absorbent and configured to maintain elastic properties.

Abstract: A medical garment is provided for use with children patients during and following intravenous medical therapies and method for using the same. The garment includes fabric fitted for the upper torso of a patient with an easily detachable flap exposing an access opening located over the chest area to allow care providers with easy access to medical ports implanted in the patient's chest where most such ports are located for pediatric patients. An storage pocket is positioned inside and adjacent to the opening for easy, safe and discreet storage of tubing and small medical devices. The exterior surfaces of the flap and/or interior surfaces of the pocket may include ornamentation and/or design elements appropriate for children's clothing. The garment is designed to look like a regular piece of children's clothing which is comfortable for children to wear and which helps restore a feeling of normalcy to a child patient.

The fabric has two elongated ends that are flush with each other to form a crease in the middle of the fabric and two tubular openings. The elongated ends are sewn inwardly along the flush ends to two predetermined points, such that a central opening remains. The opening is reinforced with elastic to provide a snug fit when worn in multiple ways. The multifunction garment has a general size and width-to-height ratio that allows the wearer to comfortably use the fabric as a scarf, as a tie, as a collar, or as a hood. Additionally, the garment may be worn as a shawl, as a blouse, as a sash, or as a shrug.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a more suitable method of temporarily affixing a sunshade to a cap with a half moon shaped opening at the bottom of the back of the cap. The sunshade generally includes a strap especially designed to provide a firm and close assembly to the cap, and a shield, which is sewed to the strap, designed to provide the necessary sun protection. The strap has a concave shape, and has three clips to secure it firmly and fixed to the cap. The shield is made of a lightweight fabric or cloth and its shape and size will varied to accommodate the sunshade design to the cap size, especially to accommodate the sunshade to caps for men, women or children.

Abstract: According to an aspect of the present invention, herein provided are pants having a body-shaping function, the pants including: an elastic fabric included in the pants, compression patches, and shaping seams having boundaries that are partially fixed on the pants to support the hips of a wearer; and a pair of shaping seams fixed on the elastic fabric and sized in a manner that will push the hips and buttocks up so as to make the contours of the hips appear smaller and flatter the wearer's rear end.

Abstract: An expandable belt loop that is preformed, flexible and resilient is joined to a base member that can be used as part of a belt mounting system for holsters for firearms, flashlights, batons, or other functional items. The belt loop has an internal barb that is engageable with a back side surface of a belt and with the base is slidable on a service belt to a desired position where the bias of the loop towards constriction and frictional binding together with the barb, fix it in place on the belt. The intermediate portion of the fitting is configured to accelerate a velocity of a flow of waste fluid from the inlet to the main passageway.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to improved water closet flanges and methods for installing such water closet flanges. In one exemplary embodiment, an improved water closet flange apparatus includes an outer flange and a flexible conduit portion (i.e. sleeve) extending downwardly therefrom. The flexible sleeve has a sufficient degree of flexibility to accommodate connection between offset, misaligned, angled, or otherwise incongruous plumbing fixture discharges and waste drain pipe outlets. In one embodiment, the flexible sleeve includes at least one corrugated portion to aid the desired flexibility. An upper portion of the flexible sleeve may include an inwardly extending lip portion to accommodate the desired seal between the plumbing fixture discharge and the flange apparatus. Related methods for installing the disclosed flange apparatus between plumbing fixture discharges and waste drainpipes are also described.

Abstract: A pop-up drain valve stopper has a lower portion that is retained in a drain pipe through which liquid passes while exiting the bowl of a sink, and an upper portion that is easily disconnected from the lower portion and withdrawn from the drain pipe so a strainer cup carried by the upper portion can be cleaned or replaced as needed. In one embodiment, the strainer cup is an integral part of the upper portion. In another embodiment, the strainer cup can be detached and cleaned or replaced when it has caught a volume of hair and foreign matter. A threaded connection or equivalent may be used to releasably couple the lower and upper portions. A twist connection or equivalent may be used to releasably couple the strainer cup to another part of the upper portion.

Abstract: I wish to introduce a toilet venting system that vents through the toilet's bowl and not the toilet's seat. Using the bowl's channels in the toilet that the water uses when the toilet is flushed we can let these channels serve as venting channels. The vented air is pulled through the bowl and forced back down into the toilet's drain system. The vent fan can be installed in the wall behind the toilet and is attached to the toilet by two flexible hoses one for the intake air and the other for the exhaust air. The vent is turned on by applying presser on the toilet seat and is turned off by flushing the toilet.

The changing table with shelving transforms into two sitting benches when one tier of shelving is detached from the other. A backrest sensor is provided to sense movement of the backrest. A controller is coupled to the actuator, the actuator sensor, and the backrest sensor. The controller is configured to stop the actuator from raising the backrest in response to a characteristic signal from the actuator sensor. The controller is further configured to stop the actuator from lowering the backrest in response to at least a characteristic signal from the backrest sensor. The characteristic signals are defined to prevent the backrest or platform from moving when obstructed or overloaded in order to reduce the chance of damage or injury.
