Depending on the configuration of the rapidly disintegrating water soluble material, after exposing the sinker to water, for example, by casting a line into the water or by returning a caught fish back into the water, the rapidly disintegrating water soluble material will dissolve, thereby releasing the sinker from the fishing line. The weighted portion of the sinker, which provides the majority of sinker weight, may be preferably formed from an organic material that will also eventually dissolve in water, although at a much slower rate than the rapidly disintegrating water soluble material.

Abstract: This is a new method in detection and control of subterranean termites. This method involves building underground stations. To build a station, dig a small area (e.g, 18?×18?) of ground about 1? to 4? deep; then place termite feed or bait or mix of them on the bottom; cover with a plastic sheet; and finally cover it with soil, mulch, or turf. Cardboard can be used as feed among other choices. This method is very effective because the plastic sheet can keep moisture from escaping and preserve the feed/bait. Also when termites are foraging to find food, they will be stopped by the plastic sheet and be gathered there. The layer above the plastic sheet provides good insulation to disturbance. Larger size of the station than a traditional baiting container also helps termites to find the station more quickly and more reliably.

Abstract: A closing profile for mounting on one of two opposite members of a door assembly, at least one of the opposite members being a rotatable door, the closing profile including a mounting member by means of which the closing profile is mounted to a reveal part of the one member of the door assembly and a flexible member connected to the mounting member, the flexible member being shaped for engaging a complementary edge part on the other member of the door assembly and for releasably maintaining the door in a closed position. The closing profile may have a hollow space between the flexible member and the mounting member, to enable the flexible member to deform resiliently towards the mounting member upon opening the door, and the flexible member is preferably longitudinally divided into two wings, each being provided for engaging the complementary edge part and maintaining the closed position in one direction of opening the door, the wings being bendable independently from each other towards the mounting member.

Abstract: A sliding door assembly is disclosed with guide rail and rollers attached to a door. The rollers have bevels on both sides of a center portion, and fit into a single piece guide rail with three sections. Also disclosed is a method for making the sliding door assembly and installing it. In the method, a long, flat piece is bent in two places parallel to its long axis to form a guide rail with three sections.

Abstract: A brim-like flexing portion flexes via an abutment to an outer peripheral surface around an installation hole of an installed member, and it sandwiches an outer peripheral portion around the installation hole together with the elastic pawl portion. In determining a set dimension of the brim-like flexing portion, a diameter dimension of a flexing base portion is set in a value between an outer diameter dimension of a reduced-diameter portion and a hole diameter dimension of the installation hole.

Abstract: A method of opening a mine door leaf installed in a mine passageway having a high pressure zone and a low pressure zone. The method includes the steps of operating a variable-throw crank mechanism in a first configuration having a first crank length to apply a first force to the mine door leaf to move it at a first speed, operating the variable-throw crank mechanism in a second configuration having a second crank length less than the first crank length to apply a second force greater than the first force to the mine door leaf to move it at a second speed slower than the first speed, and using a resistance pressure associated with the high and low pressure zones in the mine passageway to convert the variable-throw crank mechanism from the first configuration to the second configuration.
