Abstract: An apparatus used to tune a stringed instrument string in a limited time period contains a cap, a spring, and a peg cover. When in use, the apparatus is placed over a tuning peg such that the peg cover encloses the tuning peg. The spring is positioned in between the cap and the peg cover. The cap is placed over the peg cover. Therefore the spring can be compressed by pressing on the cap. The cap contains a tubular portion and a first hole. The hole perpendicularly passes through the tubular portion. The peg cover contains a peg receiving cavity and a second hole. The second hole perpendicularly passes through the peg receiving cavity. When the spring is compressed the first hole and the second hole align with each other. The first hole and the second hole are perimetrically large enough for a stringed instrument string to travel through.

Rather than installing multiple pickups in different positions in order to achieve a limited variety in tone, the Pole Position Sliding Pickup System uses a single pickup which can be moved quickly and easily to any position between the base of the neck and the bridge in order to achieve a much greater variety in tone. Not only are the variety of possible tones increased, but so is the ease with which they can be attained, because the method of sliding the pickup into place is easier than conventional methods of choosing stationary pickups.

The heating means have a grease-deflecting cover supported on the frame and has oblique guide plates for dripping grease below the heating means, via which the dripping grease can be directed towards a collecting channel. The grate (2) is arranged on a support (1.1) on the upper edge region of the frame (1) and is divided into grate sections. The grease-deflecting cover (3) is made of flat fins (3.1-3.m) that are arranged in sequence like blinds and are adjustably arranged above the heating means (4). The guide plates (5) are divided into overlapping guide plate sections (5.1, 5.2) which can be removed from the frame (1).

Abstract: A method of continuously imparting different visually detectable features to a plurality of items using a printing and/or embossing roll is provided. The circumference of the roll differs from the whole number of the item lengths. In a production series, the number of items each having a different visually detectable feature provided before said visually detectable features repeat themselves is greater than the number of items imparted after one full turn of the roll. Also disclosed is a package including a plurality of items each having a visually detectable feature that is different from the visually detectable features of all other items within the package, such that a first item includes a first visually detectable feature, and a second item includes a second visually detectable feature including at least a portion of the first visually detectable pattern element, wherein the first and second visually detectable features are different.

Abstract: The present invention relates in general to a pressure discharge mechanism for closed vessels having an internal chamber designed to hold volatile and/or explosive substances in a sealed manner comprised of an at least one eutectic composition and a threaded joint designed to open or vent the closed vessel when the contents of the closed vessel reaches a predetermined temperature while maintaining full structural integrity during normal operation. In one aspect, the closed vessel is a munitions casing which functions as intended under normal operating environments, but then when exposed to extreme temperatures, reduces the munition's high order explosion capability, and is transformed into a safe, low order reaction with significantly less reactive potential. In one aspect, the closed vessel is a transport tanker which should not release substances contained therein. However, if the tanker catches fire, the pressure relief mechanism of the present invention reduces risk of explosion.
