Abstract: A method of manufacturing a composite material bearing component includes designing a pattern of a fabric combination including a PTFE film, a quartz fabric and a glass fabric, which are stacked, in consideration of a final shape of a bearing, and stacking the fabric combination on a fusion surface which is a steel surface of a bearing structure of a composite material bearing; and simultaneously performing molding and fusing under conditions of a thermal treatment temperature of 300˜400° C. and a pressure of 30˜100 kgf/cm2, thereby manufacturing the composite material bearing. This composite material bearing functions as a self-lubricating high performance bearing, thus satisfying high performance requirements of the driving friction surface of a B&S (Ball & Socket) nozzle which is a thrust vector control nozzle and satisfying a high load and low friction efficient required of guided weapon components.

Abstract: Nail clippers comprise two legs extending in longitudinal direction, which are connected to one another with their one ends and the free ends of which form inner cutting edges, so as to cut through a fingernail or a toenail between both cutting edges. Both legs including the connecting area are of a metallic glass or an amorphous metal in one piece. Nail clippers also comprise two two-armed levers that cross one another and are articulated on one another at a crossing point. The free levers of one side form inner cutting edges at their ends so as to cut through a fingernail or toenail between both cutting edges, and wherein the free levers of the other side form handles. Both of the two-armed levers including the joint in each case are of a metallic glass or an amorphous metal in one piece.

Abstract: A sheet cake cutter is provided. The present cake cutter comprises a rectangular frame with a plurality of cutting wires extending between opposing sides of the perimeter of the frame, creating a plurality of rectangular openings. The cake cutter is placed over a cake and then force is applied, pushing the wires of the device through the body of the cake. The present invention saves users substantial amount of time by cutting an entire cake at once, as opposed to cutting pieces of cake individually, and produces aesthetically pleasing and uniform pieces of cake. The tension of the cutting wires is freely adjustable in order to preserve the lifespan of the wire and to ensure a smooth cut with each use.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods to compensate hard iron and soft iron magnetic interference in magnetic sensing devices are described. Hard and soft iron interference may be modeled using an ellipsoidal surface generated by a plurality of magnetic field measurements. A displacement of the ellipsoid from a reference frame origin corresponds to hard iron or permanent magnetic field interference. A shape and orientation of the ellipsoid corresponds to soft iron magnetic field interference. The ellipsoidal surface may be analyzed to obtain magnetic field compensation values for cancelling hard iron and soft iron interference.
