Abstract: A cleaning article includes a cleaning article sheet comprising a fabric substrate, wherein the fabric substrate includes pores therein, and wherein the fabric substrate has a background moisture percentage by weight, and liquid water disposed substantially and disconnectedly within the pores, wherein the liquid water is at moisture percentage by weight that is 5 to 150 percentage points higher than the background moisture percentage. The nonwoven substrate can include pores formed between and/or within the fibers and can have a background moisture percentage by weight. The substrate can include a treatment to increase the dielectric constant from the dielectric constant of the substrate without the treatment. The moisture of the article can be configured to exhibit a dielectric constant of at least 50% and up to 600% higher than the dielectric constant of the same article with only background moisture.

Abstract: The Paint Torpedo is a small foam mini football shaped device, made of closed cell urethane, with an opening through the center, top to bottom, in which the handle of a paintbrush is inserted. The Paint Torpedo rests on the base or neck of the brush. To paint, one grasps the Paint Torpedo instead of the handle of the brush. With the football shape of the Paint Torpedo one is able to enjoy a firmer grip of the brush by a relaxed grasp on the flexible Paint Torpedo. The brush is held at a more natural angle and by grasping the soft device instead of the hard handle of the brush there is less stress, tension and strain on hand and wrist muscles. The results include cutting much straighter lines and a professional looking job, even by a novice.

Abstract: A caliper body of a floating-type disk brake includes a cylinder-part constituent part including a cylinder bore into which a piston pressing brake pads against a disk rotor is disposed, a bridge part extending from the cylinder-part constituent part and including a through-hole, and a claw-part constituent part formed on a leading end side of the bridge part and disposed so as to be opposite to the cylinder-part constituent part. In a method of manufacturing the caliper body of the floating-type disk brake, a mold in which sprues are provided in at least two places spaced apart from each other in a disk rotor circumferential direction on a region corresponding to the claw-part constituent part is prepared. Molten metal is poured from the sprues of the at least two places of the mold, and starts to solidify from a side of the cylinder-part constituent part.

Abstract: The described embodiments relate to adjustable fixtures. A number of adjustable length cylindrical pins can be utilized to form a conformal support structure in accordance with a workpiece having any number of variations. At least three fixed length pins having heights lower than the adjustable length pins, can be interspersed with the adjustable length cylindrical pins to define an orientation at which the workpiece is held. Because the adjustable length pins have an uncompressed height greater than the fixed length pins, each of the adjustable length pins can be compressed in accordance with a bottom surface of the workpiece when the workpiece is pressed against the fixed length pin. In this way a conformal support structure can be formed that supports the workpiece during a machining operation.

Abstract: In some embodiments, processes for testing for structural flaws in sapphire parts such as display cover plates used in the manufacturing of electronic devices are disclosed. A process may include transmitting a destructive acoustic signal onto a sapphire part, and determining whether the sapphire part failed in response to the destructive signal. The destructive acoustic signal may include a Rayleigh acoustic wave, wherein the destructive acoustic signal breaks the sapphire part if the sapphire part has a surface flaw larger than a specified size. In this manner, only sapphire parts that can withstand the destructive acoustic signal are used in manufacturing of the electronic device.

The secondary battery case includes a can accommodating an electrode assembly and a top cap sealing an upper opening of the can. The top cap includes a top plate sealing the upper opening of the can, a filling hole passing through the top plate to fill an electrolyte into the can, and a protrusion protruding from the top plate on an upper portion of the filling hole. The protrusion is press-fitted into the filling hole to seal the filling hole. According to the present invention, the protrusion may protrude from the top plate. Thus, the protrusion may be press-fitted into the filling hole and thus broken to seal the filling hole. Therefore, the member for sealing the filling hole may be integrated with the top plate to reduce manufacturing costs and simplify a manufacturing process.

In one embodiment, a system includes a heating device to heat a substrate, wherein an electronic component such as a microchip is attached to the substrate by one or more solder connections. A thermally conductive picker head is placed in physical contact with the electronic component to apply tension to the electronic component and draw heat away from the electronic component through a thermally conductive interface between the electronic component and the thermally conductive picker head. This ideally generates a uniform temperature gradient across the solder connections. This will allow the electronic component along with most or all of the solder to be removed from the substrate.
