Abstract: A pre-functionalized boxing glove that includes a padded main body, a padded thumb-receiving portion, a supportive wrist portion, and a moisture removal apparatus secured to the thumb-receiving portion or the wrist portion. The pre-functionalized glove, and more particularly, the moisture removal apparatus, allows for a boxer to remove bodily fluids safely and effectively, thereby minimizing and/or preventing contact between the bodily fluids and the boxer's eyes.

Abstract: Increased popularity of youth softball and baseball leagues have resulted in nearly 2 million injuries annually. Most sports related injuries occur during practice due to a lack of safety precautions, but are preventable. Protective equipment is available for baseball/softball sports, but there is a lack of protection for the knuckles, wrist, and elbow. These areas are vulnerable to a direct impact of the ball and can result in serious injury. The KWE Protector may prevent and decrease injury to the key areas of the hand and arm (knuckle, wrist, and elbow) for continual use and productivity in the baseball/softball sport. The KWE Protector will have protective padding areas covering the key areas that will allow the player to easily move the arm. The KWE Protector will be available for both male and females of youth and adolescents to provide adequate protection and continued enjoyment of the sport for everyone involved.

Abstract: A user adaptable garment is based upon a flexible tubular body, generally of a cloth construction, which can be configured into a number of forms. By using pairs of matching clasps and clasp receptacles, preferably of a toggle design, a user can pull a lower edge of the garment to an upper edge. The garment can be held in this position by securing the clasps with the corresponding clasp receptacles. By folding parts of the garment in different patterns, by rotating the garment, or through a combination of similar steps, the garment can function as a sleeveless top, a cape, a throw, a shawl, a halter, and a number of other items as imagined by the user.

Abstract: A wearable towel is provided. The wearable towel may be made from an absorbent fabric forming an upper torso garment having a neck-receiving opening and also having a front side. The front side provides a reverse side providing at least one pocket. The periphery of the neck-receiving opening may provide a hoodie extension. The front side may provide a separable fastener that when engaged secures the wearable towel about the chest of a human wearer, and when disengaged bisects the front side and so allows the wearable towel to unfold into a generally flat body towel.

Abstract: Implementations of a removable lined medical scrub and lab coat are provided. In some implementations, the lining is made of cotton and viscose bamboo. In some implementations, all, a substantial portion, or a portion of the core of the shirt of the scrubs or lab coat is lined, where the sleeves are not lined, for example, for movement. In some implementations, the pants of the scrubs are lined, except for a bottom portion of the pant legs, which is not lined. In some implementations, the lining is attached to the scrub pants only around the waist and near the bottom of the lining.

Abstract: A medical gown with one or more locations for secure medical tubing is described herein. In some implementations, the medical gown may include an internal band on an interior portion of the gown to store one or more medical tubes as the tubing travels from a treatment point (e.g., catheter placement site) of a patient inside the medical gown through the internal band of the medical gown to a site external to the medical gown (e.g., urinary drainage bag).

Abstract: The DJLowe Tie Knot is a method of tying the necktie in a 21st Century conventional style that gives the effect of a miniature necktie. The overall length of the three visible tie faces range from 3.0-4.5 inches, however, these dimensions can run greater or smaller (+/?). The three parts that make up the knot are called: The Primary Tie Face, the Secondary Tie Face and the Horizontal Tie Face. The completion of the knot will result in all three faces being equal in dimension, or may have a (+/?) tolerance in the finished product of the DJLowe Tie knot. The knot can be tied by using a regular standard necktie, or is available in the pre-assemble wardrobe finish. See diagram for details.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved head covering and, more specifically, to a hat having a crown with an enlarged rear opening and wide adjustable device to allow the long accumulated hair of the wearer to be easily threaded through and to be comfortably worn. Wherein the wide adjustable device is wider than traditional bands to provide a better fit and to secure the hat from moving forward on the wearer's head during athletic and non-athletic activities.

Abstract: An interchangeable decorative patch for a hat brim comprising a cover patch having at least one layer. The cover patch is made from any natural or synthetic material and may be trimmed to fit the particular hat brim inner and outer edges. The device is affixed to the brim of a hat using a hook and loop fasteners, threading strings that extend from the cover patch through the hat, or by tight fitment between the hat crown and brim outer edge. Alternatively, the cover patch may be affixed to the hat using band around the crown, or an interchangeable bound edge around the hat brim outer edge.

Abstract: A brim cover is provided. The brim cover may adapt the appearance of a hat as well as protects a brim of the hat. The brim cover may include a top surface and a bottom surface that connect along a closed portion of a first edge to form an opening to a cavity between the top surface and the bottom surface, wherein the cavity is shaped to receive a brim of a hat. The top surface and the bottom surface may include a graphic area and a lighting component. The graphic area may include a design and/or message. A user may then place the brim cover on the brim so as to adapt the appearance of the hat as well as protect the brim. The user may then remove the brim cover and place the brim cover on a different hat.

Also, a process for forming a helmet(10) by in-moulding a memory foam member(20) and an impact-dissipating material together. The in-moulding process permanently binds the memory foam member outer side to the impact-dissipating member inner side.

Abstract: A webbing adjuster for maintaining orderly, adjustable strap arrangement and secure connections in, e.g., a helmet, which allows for strap adjustment and, upon cinching, secures straps in place. The adjuster can be used in mountaineering, with motorcycle and bicycle helmets, and in other applications that benefit from orderly, adjustable strap arrangement and/or secure connections.

Abstract: A balaclava designed for covering a wearer's head and at least part of their neck has a face opening, and a removable, face conforming mask is releasably securable to the balaclava to cover part of the face opening corresponding to the part of a wearer's face below the eyes. The mask is designed to conform to the general contours of a wearer's lower face including the nose and mouth region, and has appropriate openings for breathing purposes.

Abstract: An improved personal protective eyewear device and composition. The device comprises an arc flash faceshield to address issues regarding optical clarity, specifically full color acuity. The compound, which may be used with faceshields and similar PPE, provides a clear grey shield through the use of an infrared dye in that produces a true color lens. Unlike traditional green faceshields, the grey faceshield is a medium-density filter that allows 100% colour acuity. The faceshield is preferably manufactured with polycarbonate material for high-impact and high-mass performance. Most preferably, the faceshield provides protection in the amount of 8.2 cal/cm2 or a category 2 arc hazard exposure protection.

Abstract: The invention concerns fiber, and a process for making same, the fiber comprising a mixture of at least a first polymer and a second polymer, the first polymer having a structure derived from the reaction of one or more amine monomers and a plurality of acid monomers, wherein the one or more amine monomers includes at least 60 mole percent 5(6)-amino-2-(p-aminophenyl)benzimidazole, and the plurality of acid monomers include those having a structure of Cl—CO—Ar1-CO—Cl & Cl—CO—Ar2-CO—Cl wherein Ar1 is an aromatic group having para-oriented linkages and Ar2 is an aromatic group having meta-oriented linkages, and wherein the plurality of acid monomers has at least 50 mole percent of the monomer containing aromatic group Ar2; and the second polymer has a structure derived from the reaction of metaphenylene diamine and isophthaloyl chloride. This fiber has use in heat-resistant protective apparel fabrics and garments.

Abstract: A protective athletic garment that provides cushioning effect to areas of wearer's body and shock absorbing capability, while keeping resistance to impact and collision during activities. The garment comprises an article of clothing which covers a portion of a wearer's body and a protective element attached into areas susceptible to injury. The protective element is preferably formed of a base layer of polyurethane shock absorbent foam and a top layer of thermoplastic polyurethane foil including flex zones and raised elements to provide high abrasion resistance and low friction sliding ability during falls. The protective element comprises ventilation holes and a plurality of grooves to stitch the protective element to the garment to create any style of garment. The protective element can be used for different portions of the wearer's body by varying the shape and/or size of the protective element to accommodate a variety of human body portions.

Abstract: A protective helmet is provided having an upper section and a lower section, each having an inside and an outside surface. A gap is formed between the upper section and the lower section. Resilient members in the form of a plurality of spaced apart compression struts are provided for connecting the upper section to the lower section. The upper section is movable with respect to the lower section whereby a portion of the force of an impact to the upper section will be absorbed and will not be transmitted to the lower section. A suspension harness is attached to the inside surface of the lower section. The suspension harness is adapted to receive a portion of the helmet user's head and to keep the helmet user's head from contacting the inside surface of the upper section.

Once the tile mesh appliquè is in place, attached and bonded to the side of the tub, a grout is applied between the tiles. After the grout has set a clear coat can be optionally applied over the tile to protect them.

Abstract: A retractable shower enclosure includes a top frame and a bottom frame attached together with draw strings for raising and lowering the bottom frame relative to the top frame between a fully deployed position to a fully retracted position. The top frame comprised of tubing wherein the drawstrings are fed through the interior of the tubing. The top frame also includes draw string guides over which the draw strings are fed. A curtain releasably attached to the frames with fasteners such that in the fully retracted position the curtain is pleated in accordion style.

The side spraying component has a fixed portion secured to the wall and at least a side spraying mechanism. The fixed portion is disposed with an inlet waterway, a first waterway and a second waterway, the side spraying mechanism is able to connect to the first waterway, the inlet waterway is connected to a supporting arm by a first flexible pipe to lead the water to the inlet waterway, the hand shower is connected to the second waterway by a second flexible pipe. The fixed portion is further disposed with a switch mechanism which cooperates with the inlet waterway, the first waterway and the second waterway to switch the first waterway and the second waterway to connect to the inlet waterway, thus controlling the hand shower or the side spraying mechanism to discharge water.
