Abstract: The invention provides an aqueously-swellable water stop having an elongate body formed by shaping or extruding a composition mixture comprising water swelling fillers and/or polymers (e.g. Bentonite, super absorbent polymers, hydrophilic polymers), at least one elastomer or polymer, and preferably at least one plasticizer, the composition mixture when formed into an elongate water stop body having a Shore A hardness (durometer) of less than 35 and more preferably in the range of 5-35 (measured at 21° C.). The water stop body has at least one major face and a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive attached to the face for bonding to a concrete substrate.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a drywall. In the method, a panel made of a plurality of panelling boards (3) placed alongside one another is fixed to a frame structure (1). According to the invention, fixation elements (5) are first affixed to a substructure (2) in the edge area of a panelling board (3) and/or in the joint area (4) of two adjacent panelling boards (3). Then, by means of a clamping tool (7) for example, fastening elements (6) are set alongside the fixation elements (5), the respective panelling board (3) being simultaneously clamped between the substructure (2) and the fastening element (6).

Abstract: An apparatus and method for repairing a damaged door frame, wherein a jamb patch has a first portion adaptable to replace a removed section of the door frame and a second portion coupled to the first portion and adaptable to fit behind a remaining section of the door frame to align the first portion with the remaining section of the door frame. The second portion of the jamb patch may be slidably coupled to the first portion for location into a first position, wherein the first portion of the jamb patch overlaps the second portion, and into a second position, wherein the second portion of the jamb patch extends from the first portion. Alternatively, the second portion of the jamb patch may fixedly extend from the first portion of the jamb patch.

A precast plug is created by pouring a wet aggregate mix into a form mold and thereafter inserting a pre bent rod into the uncured mixture, positioning it such that the center of the rod rests in the center of the form mold and the ends of the rod extend outward near the top of the form mold. The mix is then cured. The precast plug may then be transported to the hole that it is destined to fix. Grooves may be carved on either side of the hole to accommodate the rod's ends. The interior of the hole and the exterior of the plug may then be covered with a sealant, after which the plug may be inserted into the hole. Once the sealant cures, the hole is fully repaired.

Abstract: An illustrative embodiment of a tile and support structure may include a plurality of tiles, which may be generally rectangular in shape, engaged with one or more support structures. The tile may be formed with four edges, wherein two opposing edges may be formed with grooves therein and the other two opposing edges may be formed with protrusions thereon. The support structure may be formed with a generally vertical spine having two rails extending outward from a distal end thereof. The support structure may also include two generally horizontally extending flanges, which may be formed with a trough therein. The trough may include a plurality of apertures formed therein. One side of the trough may be defined by a lip.

Abstract: An improved corner assembly for use with metal framed, floating panel glass doors, windows or wall partitions is provided. The design provides improved structural integrity of frame corner joints such that rail twist and frame racking are minimized. The design features a corner assembly composed of extruded horizontal and vertical framing members where the horizontal framing member is equipped with an integral tongue. The tongue engages a mating groove in the vertical framing member. The sheer block is attached to the horizontal and vertical framing members via mechanical fasteners. Welds are provided at the intersection of the tongue and groove, and between the sheer block and horizontal framing member to provide for increased structural integrity.

A connection portion is used to attach the fixing clip to a furring channel and has a connection arrangement which defines a furring channel receiving gap therein through which the furring channel passes in fixing clip use. The connection arrangement is moveable between at least two different positions relative to a base portion to position the connection arrangement at different distances from the base portion and extending across the furring channel receiving gap. A locking arrangement extends between the base portion and the connection portion and is used to secure the connection arrangement of the connection portion at a selected position relative to the base portion.

Abstract: The present invention provides a dry mix of cement, sand, metakaolin in the amount of 5 wt % or less, based on total solids in the dry mix, and aluminum cement in a low amount (?1 wt. %, based on total solids in the dry mix) useful as a tile grout, as well as uses thereof and to methods of using the same as a tile grout. The dry mix when made into a mortar exhibits excellent resistance to efflorescence as a tile grout.

The connector threads within a hole associated with the object, such as a hole of a support connected to a jamb of a window. The connector engages a slot of the guide and the device allows for desired alignment of an object within a frame by transferring rotational movement to linear movement.

The use of two servo motors also allows adaptation to articles or packages of various dimensions. In some embodiments, an optical sensor is used to detect the position of the package to be sealed, and the movement of the movable carriage assembly and the jaw is altered based on the detected position.

The horse mask comprises an opening thereon corresponding to the location of the horse's eyes and area therebetween. The visor is transparent and serves to shield the horse's eyes from exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Preferably, the visor is secured to the opening of the mask using hook and loop fastening material. The mask further includes a pair of pockets having an interior volume in which a horse's ears can be positioned. The mask can be secured on a horse by overlapping portions of the mask on an underside of the horse's head.

The workstation further comprises control means for independently controlling the speed of the air supply fan and the air return fan.

Abstract: Dual air source automotive air filter systems are disclosed. The dual source automotive filter includes an outer filter, an inner filter at least partially inside the outer filter defining a combined airstream volume between an interior side of the outer filter and an exterior side of the inner filter, an external air source inlet in flow communication with an interior volume of the inner filter, and a combined airstream outlet in flow communication with the combined airstream volume. The system may include a housing in which the filter is installed. A method of installing the dual source automotive filter system in a vehicle is also disclosed.

Abstract: Apparatus and method related to a cartridge filter having self-regulated pleat spacing. An elastic adhesive bead is used on an outer surface of a cylindrically formed pleated filter media to maintain pleat spacing without damaging the pleats or the filter media. In this way, a cylindrical pleated filter media may be formed from a planar filter media without the need for manually spacing the pleats during or after formation into a cylinder.

Abstract: A bale turning apparatus for attachment to a baler to generally align the cylindrical of the bales in each row as the bales are released from the baler. Using the disclosed invention, the bales are essentially turned ninety degrees from the orientation of bales from the position that they are typically released from a round baler. By accomplishing this general alignment of the cylindrical axis of each bale in each row, when baling corn stover or other row crops, the bale loading operation can later be done more efficiently by driving down the rows in the same direction as the combine and baler have traveled.

The flash tank is fluidically connected at a cold end of the HRSG to extract waste hot water from the cold end. Furthermore, the second supply line is configured to interconnect the flash tank and the air preheating system to supply hot flash condensate thereto.

The phosphor thermometer may comprise a light source configured to emit an excitation light, and an input waveguide configured to transmit at least a portion of the excitation light from the light source to a temperature sensing end. A phosphor may be located at the temperature sensing end and it may be configured to emit a fluorescence signal upon absorption of at least a portion of the excitation light transmitted by the input waveguide. The phosphor thermometer may further comprise an output waveguide configured to transmit at least a portion of the fluorescence signal from the phosphor to a detector. The detector may determine a fluorescence decay constant from the time dependent decay of the fluorescence signal, and the fluorescence decay constant may be correlated with a temperature.
