Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for synchronization after restart of a FC switch. For example, when a FC switch which is restarted detects that a neighbor FC switch has already established an adjacency relationship with the restarted FC switch, the adjacency relationship between the restarted FC switch and the neighbor FC switch is maintained, and the neighbor FC switch is requested to perform LSR initial synchronization to the restarted FC switch under a circumstance that the adjacency relationship is kept.

Abstract: A network includes node devices each storing a table that manages paths to plural gateway devices for connecting to another network. A node device generates a hello frame for specifying a main gateway device of the node device at a predetermined timing, and transmits the hello frame to adjacent node devices. The node device, upon receiving a hello frame from an adjacent node device operating as a first hop destination of a data frame destined for the main gateway device, determines whether quality of a path to the main gateway device is lowest among paths to the plural gateway devices, based on path quality information included in the hello frame. When the quality of a path to the main gateway device is lowest, the node device changes the main gateway device to a gateway device that is registered in the table and specified by information included in the hello frame.

Abstract: Techniques for mapping a topology of a chain of network service functions on a computer network are described. A request packet is sent to an ingress service function on the network. The request packet is encapsulated with a network service header, which identifies the packet as an OAM packet, and an OAM payload. Where the packet is received by a service function that is not an egress service function, the request packet is forwarded to the next service function hop in the chain. Where the packet is an egress service function, the request packet is returned to the discovery source. A service path is constructed based on the metadata in the OAM payload describing the identified the service functions. This technique can be applied to multiple connected chains to provide a complete mapping of the network topography.

The bidirectional voice transmission system is able to carry out the signal transmission by way of frequency frogging, so as to effectively avoid the signal interference from occurring between any two different signal transmitting and receiving devices. Besides, all of the mobile devices can be added into the bidirectional voice transmission system by way of dynamic building, without using any specific communication interface. Abstract: A method, a user equipment and a base station are provided. The method is for transmitting Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request-Acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information in a communication system in which two carriers are configured, which includes: a user equipment encodes a codeword of the two carriers. The codeword represents encoded HARQ-ACK information of a first carrier and a second carrier according to a specific encoding scheme of dual-carrier configured with Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (DC-MIMO). The user equipment then transmits the encoded codeword of the two carriers to a base station. Therefore, bit error ratio (BER) and detection error cost are decreased, power overhead is saved, and a cubic metric (CM) value of the system is not affected, thereby enhancing the performance of the system.

Abstract: A controller receives a new resource request from a user equipment associated with a first talk group. The new resource request is a request for an assignment of one of MBMS resources and unicast resources for user equipment associated with the first talk group. The controller identifies a second geographical area in which members of the first talk group are located, determines that MBMS resources are available in the second geographical area, and determines whether the first talk group is an MBMS eligible talk group in the second geographical area. In response to determining that the first talk group is an MBMS eligible talk group in the second geographical area, the controller assigns MBMS resources to the first talk group; otherwise, the controller assigns unicast resources to the first talk group.

Abstract: A method includes determining information about a radiation pattern of a radar beam that uses a bandwidth. Based on the information, a determination is made whether a channel using at least a portion of the bandwidth is or is not available for access by mobile devices. A transmission is performed to the mobile devices of one or more specific broadcast frames configured to advertise whether the channel is or is not available for access by the mobile devices. Another method includes receiving one or more specific broadcast frames configured to advertise whether a channel is or is not available for access, wherein the channel uses at least a portion of bandwidth used by a radar beam. The channel is or is not accessed based on the one or more specific broadcast frames. The access can be contention-based or contention-free. Apparatus and program products are also disclosed.

Abstract: Techniques for providing hybrid communications to devices on vehicles include using a selected modulation scheme on a forward link to deliver data (that is intended to be received by an on-board device) onto a vehicle, and using a reverse link in a different frequency band to send reverse data from the vehicle. Based on the reverse data, a subsequent pre-defined modulation scheme for a subsequent forward transmission is selected from a plurality of modulation schemes corresponding to a plurality of performance levels of data delivery. The selections may be based on a current geo-spatial location of the vehicle, a type of data, and/or on one or more other dynamic conditions. The forward data may be multiplexed and/or multicast. Thus, adaptive modulation is achieved in a hybrid communications system in which the forward link and the reverse link to the vehicle are supported by different wireless communication bands.

Abstract: Techniques for optimizing modem use for data delivery to vehicles that are near to or parked at ports include using a high-capacity forward communications link, in a first frequency band, to support a logical forward link of a data tunnel via which data is delivered between a data provider and the vehicle. Instead of using the reverse communications link of the first frequency band, though, a reverse communications link in a different frequency band is used to support the reverse logical link of the data tunnel, as reverse data typically requires less bandwidth. Thus, the forward communications link is used in a high-throughput, unidirectional manner. Forward data may be multiplexed and/or multicast, and in some cases, multiple forward communications links may be used in parallel to support the logical forward link of the data tunnel.

Abstract: In a wireless communications network comprising a plurality of multicast and broadcast service (MBS) zones each of which comprises at least one base station, there is provided a method for providing a multicast and broadcast service to a mobile terminal capable of moving from one MBS zone to another. The method comprises the steps of: providing the mobile terminal with one or more multicasting/broadcasting transmissions comprising at least one multicast connection identification (MCID) associated with an MBS zone other than a current MBS zone at which the mobile terminal is currently receiving the one or more multicasting/broadcasting transmissions; retrieving information regarding the at least one MCID; and upon detecting that the mobile terminal is capable of receiving transmissions associated with the other MBS_ZONE, utilizing the MCID associated with that other MBS_ZONE to receive multicasting/broadcasting transmissions intended for that mobile terminal.
