Abstract: Improved impact absorbing shoe constructions are provided which include a composite sole and an attached upper. The sole includes a section of artificial turf having a backing sheet, a plurality of artificial turf grass fibers secured to the backing sheet, and resilient elastomeric infill between the fibers. The resultant shoes provide a comfortable wearing experience while also giving adequate foot and ankle support.

Abstract: This invention generally relates to a shoe in which an orthopedic adjustment has been integrated into the construction of the shoe itself. The invention entails adjusting one or more of the soles or other construction features of the shoe itself in order to accommodate a medical condition or treatment regimen. In particular, in instances of abnormalities in the knee joint, there is a need to redistribute the weight of the body from an afflicted symptomatic medial compartment of the knee to an un-afflicted and asymptomatic, or lesser effected and less symptomatic compartment so as to relieve the pain and stress at the most afflicted and most symptomatic compartment. Benefits are also achieved by reducing a common ankle injury, and by improving lateral cutting, cornering, and push off maneuvers.

Abstract: An article of footwear with a sole system includes a sole member and a protruding member assembly. The sole system provides tactile sensation. Protruding members of the protruding member assembly can translate through holes in the sole member to facilitate tactile sensation.

Abstract: A traction element arrangement for a sole structure of an article of footwear is described. Traction elements include cut step features. Cut step features provide a traction element with a stepped height. Cut step features on medial rotational traction elements that have a plurality of stud elements arranged in a circular grouping include arc-shaped or straight cuts. Cut step features on traction elements disposed in a heel region are aligned laterally across the sole structure. Traction elements also include raised platform members. Cut step features can be combined with raised platform members.

Abstract: A shoe insert operable to inhibit a small toe of a human foot from propagating outward from a sandal style or open style shoe design. The shoe insert further includes a body that is planar in manner and being arcuate in shape. The body has an outer surface and an inner surface wherein the outer surface includes an adhesive that is operable to releasably secure the body to a portion of a shoe. The body further includes a securing portion that is operable to extend underneath a portion of the foot of a user subsequent the user placing their foot having the shoe insert disposed therein. The body of the shoe insert is manufactured from a translucent soft rubber material.

Abstract: The invention disclosed herein is directed to a cast sole insert for use with a lower extremity cast. In one embodiment of the invention, the cast sole insert of the present invention includes an insole that is substantially foot shaped. The insole includes an upper surface that is shaped to conform to the contours of a user's sole. Thus, the upper surface of the insole includes grooves near the heel end and toe end. Additionally, the upper surface includes an arch portion that is raised. The bottom side of the insole is substantially flat, and is adapted to directly contact the interior of a cast that is worn by the user. The insole can be directly attached to the user's sole or secured to the interior of a cast via adhesives.

Abstract: A footwear insole system for use with an article of footwear including a base insole component and an upper insole component. The base insole includes a chassis and first and a second shock absorbing inserts. The upper insole includes a spacer panel, first and a second gel insert members, and a fabric sheet layer. The insole system may be permanently secured to an article of footwear or the insole system may be replaceable or interchangeable for installation and removal to and from an article of footwear by a user.

Abstract: An enhanced heel shoe attachment device attaches to a low heeled or flat shoe to convert the shoe into a high heeled shoe. The device includes a sole extension having a bottom surface, a top surface, and a perimeter wall coupled to and extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. Each of a plurality of clips is coupled to the sole extension. The clips are arranged around a perimeter of the top surface of the sole extension. Each clip has a distal portion relative to the sole extension extending over the top surface of the sole extension wherein the clips are configured for engaging a sole of a flat soled shoe wherein the sole extension extends downwardly from the sole.

Abstract: A cover for athletic shoes, namely running shoes which provide protection from the elements such as rain, sleet, snow and cold temperatures. The cover should be non-obtrusive, not substantially detract from the aesthetics of the underlying shoe chosen by the wearer, while also being durable and inexpensive to manufacture. The cover should also not reduce the overall performance of the sole. The covers are lightweight, tuck easily into a small pocket, and quickly removable for ease of use.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a footwear article, such as a boot, having a knob, hook, platform or other extension protruding on an upper portion thereof. The knob, hook, platform or other extension may be utilized for engaging with a cart, dolly or other movable object for moving the same by moving the wearer's foot. Methods of using the same are further provided.

Abstract: A heel strap device configured to secure a person's heel to a shoe and properly guide the heel back into the shoe. The device has an elastic band that provides both a downward and forward force. The band has a bottom section, heel section, left side section, and right side section. The bottom section is affixed to the sole of a shoe. In a separate embodiment, the band also has a nub affixed to the top of the heel section that is configured to prevent the band from slipping down on the heel and to provide aesthetic benefits to the device. In another embodiment, the device is integrated with a shoe instead of being separately attached to the shoe insole.

The method includes a number of steps where various molds are used to form different components of the cleated plate member. A collar receptacle is formed using a first molding process. A cleat member is formed from a non-compatible material with a fastener of the cleat member associated with the collar receptacle using another molding process to form a combined cleat assembly. The combined cleat assembly is placed into corresponding receptacles in a mold used to form the cleated plate member. The cleated plate member is formed using another molding process that embeds the collar receptacle into the body of the cleated plate member. The completed cleated plate member includes releasably attached cleat members.

Abstract: A method of making an article of footwear is disclosed. The method may include the steps of selecting a family of article types, selecting a customized article type, manufacturing an article of footwear with the customized article type and shipping the article of footwear to a pre-designated shipping address. The customized article type can be configured with a user selected characteristic. The method can also include limiting the number of article types displayed to a user at any time.

The necklace includes a non-transitory memory positioned in the at least one cavity and configured to store map data and object data. The smart necklace also includes a processor positioned in the at least one cavity, coupled to the pair of stereo cameras, the positioning sensor and the non-transitory memory. The processor is configured to determine output data based on the image data, the positioning data, the map data and the object data.

The upper slider assembly is operable to engage the positioning groove for preventing the fold unit from converting between an unfolded state and a folded state, and to be disengaged from the positioning groove so as to permit the fold unit to convert between the unfolded and folded states.

Abstract: An ergonomically designed container and accessories as attachments for customizing the container based on user's preference are disclosed. The container's body has several holes in it allowing the user to attach different accessories onto their desired place and not be limited to only one assembly configuration. Each accessory is designed to allow for carrying an item securely and separately from other items. In one embodiment, the accessories can be attached to the container using at least one external attachment pin. In another embodiment, an accessory has a portion of the pin described above as a part of the accessory itself eliminating the need for any external pins. The container may be made out of a material that is safe when it comes in contact with foods and consumables. The container is strategically designed to sit upright when placed on the floor without its walls collapsing or its contents falling out.

Abstract: A computer-controlled system determines attributes of a frexel, an area of human skin, and applies a modifying agent (RMA) at the pixel level, typically to make the skin appear more youthful and so more attractive. The system scans the frexel, identifies unattractive attributes, and applies the RMA, typically with an inkjet printer. The identified attributes relate to reflectance and may refer to features such as irregular-looking light and dark spots, age-spots, scars, and bruises. Identified attributes may also relate to the surface topology of the skin, for more precisely enhancing surface irregularities such as bumps and wrinkles. Feature mapping may be used, for example to make cheeks appear pinker and cheekbones more prominent. The RMA can be applied in agreement with identified patterns, such as adding red to a red frexel, or in opposition, such as adding green or blue to a red frexel, according to idealized models of attractiveness.

Abstract: Described herein is a support for a Constant Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine. The support comprises a table for supporting the CPAP with portion extended between the mattresses of the bed, and a stabilizer extending downward from the bottom of the table surface to brace against the lower mattress. The table may be foldable for travel purposes. The table also comprises a hook for securing the power cord, and a raised lip around the edge of the table top to prevent accidentally knocking the device from the table surface. A hook extending from one side of the table top provided a convenient place to store a CPAP mask between uses.
