Abstract: An adjustable collar stay has two components: a) a housing, and b) a movable piece having a wider head and elongated portion, the elongated portion adapted for slidably moving within the housing. The wider head is at least one cross-section disposed perpendicular to the point of entry (portal) into the housing, preventing its entry thereto. A spring-loaded pin, situated within the housing, engages with a pit, cut into the side of the elongated region of the movable piece. By grasping the head and pushing it transverse to the direction of the housing, one dislodges the pin from a pit, and moves the movable piece with respect to the housing, in order to elongate or shorten the entire device.

Abstract: An article of apparel includes an integrated support system. In an embodiment, the article of apparel is a tank top including a body and shoulder straps. The support structure, moreover, is a bra suspended from the interior of the body. The bra includes textile segments possessing predetermined degrees of resiliency. In an embodiment, the bra includes first and second cups, each including a pocket operable to receive an insert. The cups may be laterally spaced from each other by a non-stretch textile. The rear of the bra may be formed of a resilient textile.

Abstract: A unique head covering designed to be comfortable and to enable securing a separate scarf to a person's head is disclosed. The head covering being disclosed makes use of integrated loops and/or clips to enable a person to securely and comfortably attach a separate scarf to the person's head. The head covering consistent with embodiments of the present disclosure may not require the use of pins or knots. Embodiments of the present disclosure further enable the securing of a separate scarf to the head covering in order to cover, for example, a person's neck and chest.

Abstract: Laminates are described having a durable outer film surface for use in making lightweight liquidproof articles, including articles of apparel, such as outerwear garments. A method of making the laminate and a lightweight outerwear garment having an abrasion resistant exterior film surface is described.

Abstract: A clip-shaped device for preventing tops from becoming untucked, where pants are fixed between an upper clip part and a lower clip part and a belt is fixed between the upper clip part and a decorative cover element, and at the same time, lower ends of the tops are fixed by a fixing member, thereby preventing the lower ends of the tops from being exposed to the outside of the bottoms. Since a tops fixing member, the clip member, and the decorative cover element are included, the tops fixing member fixes the lower ends of the tops, the clip member fixes the pants, and the belt is fixed between the decorative cover element and the clip member such that the lower ends of the tops are not exposed to the outside of the bottoms, and thus clothes can be worn neatly and comfortably.

Inserts can be placed into the pockets to provide support, stability, or other desired properties to the portions of the knitted component.

Abstract: Manufacturing and assembly of a shoe or a portion of a shoe is enhanced by automated placement and assembly of shoe parts. For example, a part-recognition system analyzes an image of a shoe part to identify the part and determine a location of the part. Once the part is identified and located, the part can be manipulated by an automated manufacturing tool.

Abstract: A water activated restraint release that is designed to be retrofitted onto an existing restraint system. The water activated restraint release includes a buckle and a tang to be secured to the buckle. The buckle includes a release mechanism and an actuator assembly. The actuator assembly causes the release mechanism to release the tang in the presence of water, thereby releasing a passenger.

Abstract: Tools and methods are provided for removing biological units from a body surface utilizing a removal tool. The tools may incorporate retention members and mechanisms configured to impede movement of the biological unit in the direction of a distal end of the tool and to improve retention of the biological unit in the tool. Some of the retention members are stationary and some are movable within the lumen of the biological unit removal tools. The distal tips of the tools are desirably configured to reduce the chance of transection of a biological unit, such as by including both cutting segments and blunt relief segments. A number of dual concentric tube embodiments permit a division of removal functions. Distal fluid or gas delivery may be used to help separating biological units from surrounding tissue.

Abstract: A piece of furniture has an outer construction (frame), an inner body that can be raised and lowered in relation to the outer construction via a body motor, and a leaf (flap) that is movable via a leaf motor for covering the front face of the raised inner body. The leaf is articulated on the outer construction, and an electronic controller operable by way of at least one operating switch is provided for coordinated actuation of the leaf motor and the body motor. Starting from a position with the leaf open and the inner body lowered, the inner body first moves at least partially upwards before the leaf closes in order to close the piece of furniture.

First and second shelf support clamps are supported by the first and second posts, respectively. A hook at a first end of the main body engages a wall of a slot in the slotted member, while a tab at a second end of the main body member is offset rearwardly from the body member by an arm, the arm and tab being spaced from the hook a distance such that the arm extends through another slot of the slotted member. At least one of the hook and arm are position to engage an edge of the slot of the slotted member to position the bracket on the member. A portion of the tab lies behind a further slot when the bracket is installed on the slotted member, and has a threaded bore to accept a mounting bolt inserted from the front side of the slotted member to fix the mounting bracket in place on the slotted member.

Abstract: An apparatus that supports a tattoo artist in a variety of positions to comfortably apply one or more tattoos to skin of a subject is herein disclosed. The apparatus can be reconfigured to optimally position and support the arms and/or chest of the tattoo artist. A method for using a tattoo stool can involve rotating armrests of the apparatus from a stowed position to a deployed position. The armrests can support the user's forearms while supporting the user's chest such that the user can comfortably tattoo a portion of the subject positioned in front of the stool.

Abstract: The armrest assembly includes a connecting seat, an adjusting rod, a link and an armrest seat. The connecting seat has a connecting rod and a hollow connecting tube with a fixing hole. The adjusting rod has a ring and a bar. The bar is received in the connecting tube and formed with adjusting holes in a row. A fixing block is formed under the adjusting holes and inserted into the fixing hole. The link passes through the connecting tube. Abstract: In various embodiments, self-adjusting reclinable seating is disclosed. When the user applies a force to the seating by shifting his or her center of gravity, the backrest and seat portions of the seating move in response to the force to recline the seating. The user can return the seating to an upright position by again shifting his or her center of gravity. Such a configuration eliminates the need for manual recline controls. The seating is further configured to continuously vary the angle of the seat and backrest portions relative to the ground as the user moves. In particular, vertical distance between the front of the seat and the ground increases as the backrest reclines. Continuously varying the angle of both the seat and the backrest portions of the seating relative to the ground may improve a user's seating comfort, for example, by decreasing or eliminating the user's need to shift position on the seat when reclined.

In this manner, the portable kneeling apparatus allows for the selective deployment of a padded surface secured to the ground by way of two fork legs which, when not deployed, is forms merely a substantially flat rectangular board structure which can be carried by most users with one arm.

Abstract: An adjustable bed system includes first and second end boards. A first height adjustment mechanism is secured to the first end board via a first mounting member and a second height adjustment mechanism is secured to the second end board via a second mounting member. The second height adjustment mechanism is independent of the first height adjustment mechanism. An external housing member is engagable with one of the first and second mounting members. A transition box is operatively engagable with one of the first and second height adjustment mechanisms. The transition box is positioned within the external housing such that the transition box is substantially inhibited from rotation during height adjustment of the bed system. A drive shaft interconnects the transition box, at a first end thereof, and the other of the first and second height adjustment mechanisms, at a second end thereof.
