The user controls the orientation of the canopy by bending, twisting, and swiveling. The canopy is supported by a frame. The frame joins with a central rod. A ring moves along the central rod to release or restrict the frame, and thereby enable a deployed position and a collapsed position. A canopy container contains the canopy and central rod. A deploy cord and a collapse cord extend from the canopy container to actuate the deployed and collapsed positions. The canopy container positions inside a carry container, like a backpack that attaches to a user.
