Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for making a shaped gum product composed of agglomerated individual strands of gum. The gum product is induced through a plurality of apertures in a forming die to form individual strands of extruded gum product. The individual strands of gum product are then cooled by a cooling system, such as a blower and/or a cooled conveyor and form an agglomerated mass of cooled individual strands of gum product. Agglomerated mass of gum product is then formed into a predetermined shape and configuration, for example by slicing and/or scoring.

Abstract: The invention relates to a chewing gum which has a chewing mass and a coating. The chewing mass contains a gum base, at least one sugar and/or at least one sugar substitute, at least one sweetener, a softening agent, and optionally a flavor, and the coating contains at least one sugar and/or at least one sugar substitute, at least one sweetener, and water. By encasing the chewing mass with a hard caramel layer which contains at least one sugar substitute, flavors which normally cannot be used in chewing gums can be used to flavor the chewing gum.

Abstract: A filling unit and a method for filling a confectionery mass into a container or a mold includes a fill housing with a filling nozzle (2) and at least two dosing pistons in a cylinder which is connected to the fill housing. In the fill housing, a valve is arranged for each cylinder. A mixing block with internal ducts connects each of the outlets with a respective internal duct in the filling nozzle. The confectionery mass is conducted from a filling nozzle into at least one of the cylinders after which the confectionery mass is dosed down into the mold or container by actuating the dosing pistons. The speeds of the pistons are controlled independently of each other, providing varying patterns in longitudinal direction of the ice-cream/confectionery product. The movement of the filling unit relative to the container or mold can be varied providing additional options for variation in patterns.

Abstract: A mainstream frozen confectionery product with natural emulsifier and stabiliser is the object of the invention. The product has low protein content, high overrun and an optimized ratio between fat and protein which provides an improved stability. A method for the manufacture of the frozen confectionery product as well as a process for improving the stability of mainstream ice cream with clean label is also described.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a water-based food additive or broth to be added to dry pet food, Particularly for pet species having a carnivorous natural diet such as dogs and cats, would resolve this problem. The product comprises an extraction of protein components from protein-rich animal foods, such as eggs, fish, meat, and poultry. Some other macro nutrients, such as fats, in particular oils having a significant omega-3 fatty acid component, may also be extracted. The product is provided as a liquid, or as a powder to which water is to be added. The product is then mixed with dry pet food, as is commonly used with water to make the pet food more appealing to the pet; however the advantage of the product is that it provides a nutritional boost in the form of additional protein. The product also provides a scent and flavor enhancement to attract the pet, and ensure complete consumption of the food by the pet.

The disclosure also relates to a method for producing such an animal feed.

The spherical food storage container can be stored as two or more pieces that may be assembled to form a spherical container for holding food, while providing a lid in a portion of one of the hemispheres for the addition of a food, or for extraction of the food. The container and the portions of the container are made of food grade plastic that is dishwasher safe. The food storage container is made from paper, cardboard, poly-vinyl chloride (PVC), plastic, ceramic, metal, wood, fiber glass, a glass reinforced plastic, or combinations thereof. In at least one embodiment, the container and the portions of the container are made of food grade plastic that is dishwasher safe.

Abstract: A low calorie sweetener composition with sweetness synergy, providing a reduction in off-taste and a desirable temporal profile. The sweetener composition comprises allulose, fructose and sucralose. In a preferred embodiment, the sweetener composition comprises allulose in an amount of at least about 45%, fructose in an amount of at least about 20%, and sucralose in an amount of at least about 0.01% by weight relative to the total weight of allulose, fructose and sucralose in the composition. The sweetener composition is suitable for use as a substitute for high calorie sugars. Abstract: A gelatinous or “gummy” confection is supplemented with low-DHA, low-chlorophyll, high-protein microalgal cells. Because the microalgal cell walls encapsulate the microalgal protein, the microalgal cells do not interfere with the setting process of the confection. The confection can be produced by combining gelatin or other gelling agent with sweetener, color, flavor, and intact high-protein microalgae. The microalgae can be obtained from heterotrophic cultivation of Chlorella protothecoides or other microalgal cells under nitrogen replete conditions with washing, pasteurization and drying to obtain microalgal flour with at least 50% microalgal protein by weight.
