In an example, an actual measurement of a colorimetric parameter is performed by measuring the colorimetric parameter on a printed calibration pattern. The colorimetric parameter is associated with an ink drop number. The calibration pattern is printed with selected printing conditions. An ink drop number variation is determined from a reference measurement and the actual measurement of the colorimetric parameter. The reference measurement is a measurement of a colorimetric parameter. The reference measurement corresponds to a measurement of the colorimetric parameter on a calibration pattern printed with the selected printing conditions. Abstract: Printing paper according to the present invention includes a base material and a coating layer disposed on the base material and being capable of receiving an oil-based ink, and the coating layer includes, in an upper portion thereof, an ink receiving layer containing a cationic polymer and being capable of receiving the water-base ink by allowing the water-based ink to penetrate into the ink receiving layer. When ejected onto the printing paper, the water-based ink penetrates into the ink receiving layer included in the upper portion of the coating layer and is received, so that bleeding of the water-based ink is suppressed. The printing paper can be manufactured at low costs without containing expensive materials such as inorganic fine particles. The surface condition of the coated paper for offset printing can thus be modified so as to be suitable for the water-based ink at low costs.

Abstract: A protective pocket for stamps or similar products is provided with a contact adhesive in a sub-region of the lower film. An embodiment having a slit includes a lower film split in two. The split or unsplit lower film is provided in part with an extremely thin layer of contact adhesive. The covering, however, covers not only the contact adhesive but the entire lower film, and is thus matched in accurately fitted fashion to the outside dimensions of the strips, so that there are only slight height differences in the stacked strips. These stacks can readily be processed into protective pockets.
