Abstract: A container for storing cosmetics or cosmetics accessories includes a main body having an inner storage compartment. An upper cap portion is removably attached to an upper end of the main body and includes a plurality of shelves. Each of the shelves is rotatable to the left or right of a central axis of the container, independently of remaining ones of the shelves, between a closed position and a respective open position. When each of the shelves is in the closed position, shelves are substantially concentric with each other and with a first opening in the upper end of the main body. When the shelves are in the respective open positions, the shelves are not concentric with each other or with the first opening. When the shelves are in the respective open positions, the first opening is revealed to provide access to the inner storage compartment.

Abstract: A covering for protecting handbags, suitcases and other containers from damage due to inclement weather conditions, such as rain, and methods for making and using same. The protective covering preferably is manufactured from a water-resistant material and is adapted to be draped over a wide variety of containers within a broad range of external dimensions. The protective covering can include first and second opposite side portions, which define a central opening. When the protective covering is draped over a selected container, the central opening receives a handle of the selected container. One or more connector flaps extend from the first side portion adjacent to the central opening. Each of the connector flaps extend across the central opening, adjacent to the handle, and engage the second side portion. The protective cover thereby is secured to the selected container and can protect the selected container from the inclement weather conditions.

Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and a method to carry recreational equipment on the back of a user, evenly distributing the weight of the recreational equipment on both shoulders of a user. The apparatus comprises of a front container portion, an intermediate portion, and a rear container portion, wherein said intermediate portion is connected between said front container portion and said rear container portion, and said front container portion connects to said rear container portion holding said intermediate portion there between. The intermediate portion comprises of a sleeve to hold a portion of the recreational equipment, at least one intermediate strap to hold an intermediate portion of the recreational equipment, and at least one bottom strap to hold a bottom portion of the recreational equipment. The intermediate portion may be stored between the front container portion and the rear container portion when not in use.

A stopper (4) is pushed together with the plain cloth into the inside of the clamping unit (1). This clamping unit (1) is closed to hold the plain cloth between the outer circumference of the stopper (4) and the leading ends of holding means (26 and 36). With slide portions (22) being fully fitted in groove portions (32), retaining pawls (23) are fitted in pawl receivers (33b).

Abstract: The present invention is a trauma utility device that includes an elongated belt having a plurality of compartments and devices for carrying and storing necessary equipment, a wide mid portion adjacent to the wearer's back with a high density foam pad for back support, and a scalloped upper edge at the wearer's hips, enhancing an individual's ability to freely turn and move while wearing the belt. The plurality of compartments and devices may include: a personal items pouch, a stethoscope chest piece holder, a stethoscope ear tube retainer, a communication compartment, a pen holder, and a trauma shears holster. The compartments and devices may be positioned on each side of the back mid portion around the longitudinal axis of the belt. Additionally, the belt and associated compartments and devices have an antimicrobial capability to help destroy and inhibit the growth of microorganisms and especially pathogenic microorganisms.

Abstract: A hair styling tool having a plurality of bristles and one or more movable members extending radially outward from the core and movable between opposing positions is provided. The movable members move between a retracted position where the divider is fitted between and even with or slightly above or slightly below the bristles to engage the hair and an extended position where the divider is moved out beyond the bristles to disengage the hair from the bristles. The hair styling tool having the movable member which engages and disengages the hair with the bristles minimizes tangling of the hair while brushing. The hair styling tool may be a rotating brush optionally equipped with a motor.

Abstract: A force-sensitive toothbrush incorporates a bistable mechanism into the toothbrush handle. The mechanism can alert a user to excessive brushing force by changing shape in response to brushing forces exceeding a predetermined threshold. The mechanism can also automatically return to its original state when the brushing forces are lowered back down below the predetermined level. In one aspect, the mechanism may include a force-sensitive region having a principal beam and a secondary notched hinge buckling support beam located within the handle between the bristles and the gripping portion of the toothbrush. In another aspect, the force-sensitive region includes a principal beam and a secondary un-notched buckling support beam. In another aspect, the force-sensitive region includes a principal beam and a secondary support beam with a toothed clutch. These mechanisms can advantageously be molded into an integral toothbrush body using an injection molding operation.

The cap has a top and a perimeter wall coupled to and extending downwardly from the top. A bottom edge of the perimeter wall defines an access opening into an interior space of the cap. The perimeter wall engages the platform to couple the cap to the toothbrush. The bristles are positioned in the interior space when the cap is coupled to the toothbrush.

The at least one support member extends through the engaging members and the engaging members are engaged with the notches of the at least one support member. The shelves are supported on the engaging members.

Abstract: A controlled access file cabinet permits an authorized user access only to one file drawer or one locked compartment at a time. The cabinet has at least one pull-out drawer with a lock mechanism that self-locks when the drawer is pushed in and closed, and has an electro-mechanical servo to release the drawer for authorized access. One or more drawers may be divided into a row of locked compartments. Slide bar lock mechanisms interact with with lock pins on hinged lids or covers for the compartments. Only one compartment can be opened at a time. A control board within the cabinet ensures that all drawers are closed and latched before any can be released. The secure cabinet may be connected with a network, or by i2c or daisy chain to other secure file cabinets, including cabinets retro-fitted with a bolt-on lock mechanism. Computer software limits access to certain areas of the cabinet to specific authorized users, and maintains inventory and audit trail over multiple cabinets.

Abstract: Racks are disclosed for storing a plurality of wine bottles, each bottle having a bottom portion and a neck portion. Each rack comprises a housing having two opposing side panels connected to a back panel, at least one of the side panels having a plurality of holes or notches. One or more structures are provided in the housing to receive the bottom portions of the wine bottles, such that the bottles are stored at angles with the neck of each wine bottle extending outwardly through a respective one of the holes or notches. The side panels may curve into an upper point to form a boat-shaped housing. The rack may include a plurality of V-shaped structures or a zigzag structure mounted on the back panel to receive the bottom portions of the wine bottles. Mirror-image and staggered bottle storage embodiments are described.

Abstract: A wall mounted headboard capable of storing and deploying a spring loaded table. The apparatus is comprised of a headboard pivotally connected to a first table section and assisted by a plurality of gas springs. The first table section is pivotally hinged to a second table section. The hinges between the table sections are hidden thus the table surface is free from anything disturbing a smooth surface. The weight of the second table section is offset by a plurality of torsion spring assemblies. The torsion spring assemblies are comprised of a torsion spring slidingly engaged in brackets mounted to each table section. The torsion spring assemblies allow a single user to move the second table section easily with minimal effort whether deploying or storing the table. The operation of storing or deploying the table can be performed from either side of the bed without walking around to the opposite side.

Abstract: A shelf for a merchandiser. The shelf includes a skin that defines a support surface of the shelf, and a skeleton structure to which the skin is attached. The skeleton structure includes a first end bracket and a second end bracket that is spaced from and disposed opposite the first end bracket. The skeleton structure further includes an internal bracket that has a first end coupled to the first end bracket adjacent a rear end of the first end bracket, and a second end coupled to the second end bracket adjacent a rear end of the second end bracket. The internal bracket extends forward from the respective rear ends toward a front of the shelf.

The elongate members are received within aligned pairs of apertures formed in the supporting brackets in a manner restricting the vertical movement of the elongate members. Abstract: A booster seat apparatus mounted to a chair is provided. The booster seat apparatus may include a lift assembly with a seat pad. The chair may be a salon or barber chair and may include a chair base frame, a chair back substantially perpendicular to the chair base frame, and a foot rest extending downward from the chair base frame. The lift assembly includes an expanded position and a compressed position. The expanded position includes an increased distance between the seat pad and the chair base frame, and the compressed position includes a decreased distance between the seat pad and the chair base frame. Therefore, a child may be boosted upward on the chair without the need of an extra booster seat.

One depression is on one side of the centerline and the other depression is on an opposite side of the centerline. A third permanent depression is on the centerline and spaced apart from the axis that passes through the pair of spaced apart permanent depressions and is closer to the rear edge of the seat than the pair of spaced apart permanent depressions.

Abstract: A chair including a dynamically-flexible back and seat having a shape that adjusts to the movements of a user seated in the chair to enhance user comfort. Each of the back and seat has an air gap formed therewithin and a resilient frame or liner with a spring memory. The resilient liner is adapted to flex in response to compressive forces that are generated as the user slides his body back or from side-to-side in the chair. Accordingly, some of the chair back and some of the chair seat move into respective air gaps so that the shapes of the back and seat change to conform to the movements of the user. The air gaps also establish air flow ventilation channels which run laterally through the back and seat of the chair. In one case, a lumbar portion is rotatable back and forth around a vertical pivot axis so as to pivot towards one side of the chair back or the other side.

The support is compressed or retracted within the cavity when the air blower is inserted in the dynamic configuration of the body support system. Abstract: A system includes a fluid controller coupled to an inflatable bladder and configured to add fluid to and remove fluid from the inflatable bladder, a control unit configured to provide information used by the fluid controller to adjust the pressurization of the inflatable bladder, the control unit including a user interface configured to display a plurality of indicia corresponding to a range of pressure levels in which the inflatable bladder is employed by a user, where each of the plurality of indicia is associated with a different level of pressure of the inflatable bladder, respectively. In one embodiment, the fluid controller is configured to adjust the pressurization, in response to a user input at the user interface, to a pressure level selected by the user based on a current pressure level of the inflatable bladder, the pressure level selected by the user and an operating time of the fluid controller.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a sleeping system capable of customization so that at least six different levels of firmness may be achieved per bed. The present invention discloses three layers which may be positioned by the end user in order to achieve the desired firmness. The present invention also includes a method of selling such interchangeable modular bedding. In the method, after selling the bedding, at least one of the three layers may be exchanged in order to achieve yet another alternate firmness level.

Abstract: A metal crib bedstead includes a pair of symmetrical widthwise frames, a pair of symmetrical longitudinal frames, a mattress support frame and four elongated anchor planks. The widthwise frames and the longitudinal frames are made of metal and coupled together by wedging and welding. The mattress support frame includes an outer frame, a mesh frame and a plurality of springs connecting the mesh frame to the outer frame to evenly hold a mattress on the mattress support frame. The elongated anchor planks connect to the widthwise frame and the mattress support frame, and four anchor struts are fastened on the outer frame respectively near the lower ends of the elongated anchor planks for the anchor planks to rest without swaying. Hence the mattress support frame with different sizes can be coupled with the widthwise frames and the longitudinal frames. Assembly can be done quickly with enhanced strength.

Abstract: A baby support for supporting a baby positioned on a front torso of a supporting person. The baby support includes an elongated soft body that extends across a back torso of the supporting person and the baby. The baby support also includes fastening ends that overlap and secure to support the baby on the front torso of the supporting adult. The baby support may be configured to stretch to generate an elastic force to pull the back torso of the baby towards the back torso of the supporting person.

Abstract: A walker to assist an infant in walking system including an infant walker assembly having, a T-shaped base unit including a horizontal support bar and, a perpendicular support bar; a first vertical support bar; an angled support bar; a T-shaped handle; and at least three wheels coupled to the T-shaped base unit. The infant walker assembly is made of non-toxic coated metal material for safety of the infant. The horizontal support bar and the perpendicular support bar together form the T-Shaped base unit. Extending from the upper interior wall towards the aperture is a locking shaft assembly. The locking shaft assembly has a shaft having an end.

Abstract: A window screen system including two main parts, namely, a reinforced window frame and a combined window and a force resistant flex screen system or assembly. The window frame has at least one forward and one reward vertical slot capable of receiving the combined window and flex screen. The frame is securable to a structure and extends thereinto providing for easy removal of the systems received in the vertical slots. The screen system is formed of a mesh flex screen material. Winding rods, with teeth extending therefrom, line each edge of the flex screen and engage the screen material rotatably secure the screen with the teeth. Each juncture of the winding rods is secured by a corner cap. The flex screen system is sealed with a polymer seal about the winding rods. A screen cap is securely placed along the top edge and secured by the polymer seal.

Abstract: A zipper assist device for attaching to a zipper slider includes a first clasp formed as a dual-ended clasp that has a first clasp part configured to attach to the slider, and a second clasp part operably attached to the first clasp. The zipper can be pulled up (zipped) or pulled down (unzipped) by the tether. The tether can be readily attached to and separated from the first clasp part.
