In a particular aspect, a semi-rigid shapeable device includes a rear region that forms a substantially semi-circle shape having a first and second end. For this particular embodiment, each of a first terminal end and a second terminal end are respectively oriented upwards and inwards relative to the rear region via a first bend at the first end and a second bend at the second end. In another aspect, a method that facilitates forming a shirt collar support is provided, which includes shaping a semi-rigid shapeable device into a substantially semi-circle shape. In a further aspect, a turndown collared shirt is provided, which includes a collar band comprising at least one collar sleeve configured to hold a shaping device.

Abstract: An angled adapter configured for engagement between a carrier-mounted bicycle cradle and a bicycle anti-sway device. The adapter includes an adapter body. The adapter body has a cradle engagement portion at a top end thereof and an anti-sway engagement portion at a bottom end thereof. The adapter body also includes an angled extension portion interconnected between the cradle engagement portion and the anti-sway engagement portion.

The pocket front surface and the pocket rear surface each have a pocket cross-stitch that perpendicularly traverses the pocket. The pocket traverses the fabric parallel and adjacent to the first fabric edge and the second fabric edge in a warp, or 0 degree, or x-axis direction. The pockets contain one or more fiber tows with a plurality of filaments in a stack.

The pads are all manufactured from closed-cell, ethylene vinyl acetate foam using an injection molding process to create integrated safety features in a single, anti-microbial, safety pad.

Abstract: Suspension systems for helmet assemblies provide enhanced stability and adjustability for installation in helmets across different platforms. A suspension system may include an upward stabilizing member extending from a support portion of the suspension system and a pivotally attached downward stabilizing member. The pivotal attachment between upward and downward stabilizing members allows the suspension to be appropriately incorporated into helmets that are subject to manufacturing and specification variability, while still providing flexibility for fit adjustments to the suspension system.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a high performance thermoplastic matrix composite ballistic helmet includes forming/shaping a highly consolidated helmet preform free of wrinkles and with no cuts or seams from a flat stack of 0/90 uni-directional prepreg layers using a pressure forming process. The wrinkle free and no cuts pre-formed helmet shell is pre-heated and placed between match-metal dies in a compression molding press to be molded under constant pressure during heating at high temperature and cooling down below 200° F. in less than 45 minutes. Or molded under constant pressure at high temperature for less than 20 minutes and then the molded helmet is removed from the compression molding press and placed in a hydroforming machine to be cooled down in less than two minutes under a very high pressure while the thermoplastic matrix solidify during cooling down.

The button fastening apparatus includes at least a first and second assemblies and a method for converting button-style fasteners to push-pull detachable fasteners, enabling individuals with limited manual dexterity to wear the button-up clothes they desire. The first assembly may be dimensioned and adapted to attach a magnetic portion thereof to any button-style fastener. The second assembly may form a cover portion interconnected to a ferromagnetic portion through a button placket, so that the first and second assemblies may be easily removably secured via a push-pull detachable fastener system, which subsumes the button-style fastener.

Abstract: A tie locking device includes a main body and a rotatable press cover. The main body includes a fixing section and at least one wall connected with the fixing section. The press cover has a pivoted end pivotally connected with a pivoted section of the main body. The pivoted end of the press cover and the pivoted section of the main body together define an inlet for a tie to enter the main body. A valve board is disposed on the main body and movable within the main body between a first position distal from the inlet and a second position proximal to the inlet. The valve board is formed with a toothed section. After the valve board is moved to the second position, the toothed section bites the tie and the press cover is pressed onto the main body to fix the valve board and the tie.

Abstract: A buckle assembly has male and female portions with magnets embedded in each portion. The male portion has a locking leg with a pawl at its end that seats within a corresponding locking groove having an insertion portion and a locking portion having a flange on the female portion when the male and female portions are placed together. When the male part is placed adjacent the female part, the magnets attract each other to force the locking leg through the insertion portion of the locking groove. The magnets are disposed laterally offset from each other when the locking leg extends through the insertion portion, so that the magnets to pull the male and female portions in opposing lateral directions to force the locking leg into the locking portion of the groove, causing the locking pawl to engage the flange and lock the male portion to the female portion.

Abstract: A maze-type coin bank includes a housing having a wall, an inlet opening and an exit door. A lock is mounted to one of the wall and the exit door for selectively opening the exit door. A three-dimensional track construction is held in the housing and includes a plurality of sections extending along different axes which accommodate an associated coin for movement along the track construction. The track construction includes a coin entrance portion communicating with the inlet opening and a maze solution portion. Solving the maze involves placing a coin in the maze solution portion of the track construction in order to facilitate the opening of the exit door.

Abstract: A system and a method to treat lice and nits on a head of a patient. The system includes a cap for defining an airtight space around the head and a container for storing a mixture of gases for treating lice, a gas release mechanism for delivering the mixture of gases into the airtight space as an aerosol, and a gas distribution device having plurality of gas delivery pins. The mixture of gases causes irreversible damage to essential mechanisms of the lice. According to another embodiment of the present invention the system includes a cap for defining an airtight space around the head and an active agent container. The active agent of the type of acetic acid, stored in a liquid state, and vaporized during use, then circulated toward the cap.

Abstract: The present, invention provides a deodorant formulation having improved efficacy and stability. The deodorant formulation comprises propanediol, ethylhexylglycerin, and grapefruit seed extract as the principal deodorizing actives. The combination of these deodorizing active ingredients results in a formulation with strong efficacy. The deodorant formulation of the invention may further be formed into a stable solid stick product in accordance with the methods outlined herein.

Abstract: A partially recessed, fully enclosed wall cabinet for storage of water closet personal items is disclosed. The wall cabinet described here is specifically designed to accommodate the size, shape, and quantity of personal items needed for access by a person sitting on the toilet. It uses empty space between wall studs to provide storage volume for personal items, but extends the storage volume slightly outward into the water closet area in order to enable storage of such items without deformation. The user may configure the dividers to provide a customized configuration of storage compartments. The outer doors of the invention keep all stored contents protected from general view as well as contamination, but allow simple access. The invention also enables exchange of the dividers for a trash receptacle for discrete, enclosed disposal of non-flushable items.
