Abstract: In a method for operating a control panel for a production system, as well as a control system for a production system wherein the production system has a control system that comprises a main computer, the main computer is connected via a data connection with one or more client computers on which a browser is executed. The control panel for the production system is displayed in the respective browser, wherein the control panel has one or more data objects that are respectively self-contained elements of the control panel and that serve for the display of a specific value of a respective parameter. A reference table with which a relation is established between each data object and a data source for the specific value of the respective parameter presented in the data object is stored at the main computer. Given a change to the specific value of the data source the main computer transmits only this changed specific value to the corresponding data object.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an electronic menu book service method using a web editor, including: (a) configuring, by the web editor of a web server, an application menu page on a web editor screen; (b) installing, by a user device, a menu book application thereat; (c) accessing, by the user device, the web server and downloading configuration information on a menu page configured on the web; and (d) using, by the user device, the menu book application including the configuration information. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to enable a user to configure an application in a DIY (do it yourself) manner with a web editor on the web and to download and use the configured application information.

Managing the media parties can involve instantiating new media parties according to input from the users, allowing the users to join the media parties, and tracking which users are participating in which media parties. Managing a given one of the media parties may include maintaining a queue of media items, allowing users in the media party to provide input to add media items to the queue and to provide input to skip media items in the queue. The media party service streams the given one of the media parties to client devices of the users currently in the given media party such that all of the client devices are currently displaying substantially a same part of a media item in the corresponding queue.

A GUI including a plurality of tabs in a first portion of the GUI and a tab adjustment element, is provided to the user. User input indicating an activation of the tab adjustment element is received. The appearance of the project view is determined by a default style, one or more style rules applied to each task or milestone in the chart, or both. Once the project view has been created, users may alter its appearance by changing the default style settings, modifying the data-driven style rules, or by manually changing the appearance of selected tasks and milestones to deviate from the default style or style rules. As project plans are updated, the project view may be refreshed to create a new snapshot, or to replace an existing snapshot. As data is refreshed, the system will preserve manual style changes, and will also reapply style rules, which may result in a change to the project view's appearance. Snapshots may have different appearances, based on rules and manual changes.

The pointer controlling apparatus permits a pointer to move into a predetermined region after a predetermined period of time has elapsed from a point in time when the pointer comes into contact with a boundary line of the predetermined region. Accordingly, the predetermined area can be securely protected from a point in time at which the pointer comes into contact with the boundary line of the predetermined region for the predetermined amount of time. Furthermore, since the pointer is permitted to enter the predetermined region immediately after the predetermined time has elapsed, the predetermined region can be protected without interrupting the operational flow, and without using an excess of a display region.

Abstract: Human device interactions are improved by revealing user interface (UI) elements or functionality on a device in multiple context-dependent stages based on discerning a user's intent. Three dimensional sensors that detect the presence, position, orientation, direction, or rate of travel of a pointer with respect to a device may provide indicia of the user's intent to interact with a UI element on the device. If the user was not actively navigating on the device, then context relevant UI elements or actions that were not previously displayed may be surfaced and displayed elements may be removed. If the user then maintains or narrows their focus on or near a particular UI element that was just revealed, a second or subsequent layer of UI elements or effects may be surfaced. Subsequent deeper layers in a multi-stage shy UI hierarchy may be presented as the user interacts with the surfaced elements.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for facilitating dynamic customization of reporting tools in an on-demand services environment in a multi-tenant environment according to one embodiment. In one embodiment and by way of example, a method includes importing, by a database system, a first application from a computing system associated with a third-party entity, where the first application is associated with the third-party entity and first one or more reporting forms of a plurality of reporting forms. The method may further include integrating, by the database system, the first application with a second application to generate an integrated application, where the second application includes a local application and is independent of the first application. The techniques may be performed with a computing device executing a windowing system, the windowing system having a user interface element that can be interacted with by a user to manage applications executing on the computing device. It may be determined that an operation has occurred that will evict the application windows of target applications from the display, and in response an application group may be automatically formed. The application group may have indicia of the evicted target applications. The ability to write with a finger or pen on the touch screen facilitates the user when it is not feasible to focus on writing on an interface using keypad or keyboard of the device. A small keypad or keyboard may be cumbersome or inconvenient to use, especially for the elderly, or for people with disabilities who do not feel comfortable using the keypad or keyboard. The utility of the present invention extends to multiple languages and styles.
