Publication number: 20160183495Abstract: This invention relates to three variations of a garment that encloses a canine's ears individually to keep them warm in cold climates. Two different hat variations provide different degrees of warmth and methods of use. A “Hoodie” variation consists of a jacket with an integrated hood that encloses the ears individually but can be pulled back off the head if the dog does not want to wear it. Each of the variations of the invention can make use of different materials to provide the right degree of warmth based on the climate and suseptibility to cold based the dog's breed and age. The first variation of the invention is a hat that covers the head and individual ears and is held in place with strips of hook and loop material affixed to the bottom of the hat with attach to each other under the dog's “chin”. The second variation is a “Sport” hat which pulls over the dog's head and is held in place by elastic trim that surrounds the dog's face.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2014Publication date: June 30, 2016Inventor: Dara Emily Moss

Publication number: 20160183496Abstract: A dog harness is comprised of a torso strap encircling a dog's chest, connected to a chest strap passing around the chest of a dog, and a shoulder strap passing over the back of a dog. The chest strap is provided with a elongate linker. A leash connector is fixed to both ends of the elongate linker. When a leash is attached to either leash connector, a directional pull on the leash causes the leash connector to slide in the direction of the pull, pulling the elongate linker to the side creating a noise detectable by the animal to assist in the training of the animal. If the leash becomes tight pulling the elongate linker all the way to the side it will move the pull off the center of the dog's chest, thus decreasing the opposition reflex.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2015Publication date: June 30, 2016Inventor: Danny Wilson

Publication number: 20160183516Abstract: The company 1-SHOT has designed the following invention to be a biodegradable multi-purpose product used in the outdoor industry for attracting animals. “The Scent Mine is a two piece assembly made from organic material that will decompose over time and return to the soil. There is a top component that has the appearance of a land mine with a flat top that has a hole in the center for air flow. The sides arc angled and approximately 1 inch in length. At the bottom on the inside edge there is a step designed to hold the bottom component. The second component is a flat round disc that is pressed into the bottom of the shell and rests on the inside step. The diameter differences between the two components create a friction fit that holds the assembly together. When used as an animal attractant a small amount of native soil is placed between the two components to assist in creating a natural smell. Once the soil is in place the two components can be pressed together to form the complete assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2015Publication date: June 30, 2016Inventor: Vincent D. Wilson

Publication number: 20160183538Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for a combination of a new strain of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens RTI301 and a new strain of Bacillus subtilis RTI477, the combination having growth promoting activity and activity against plant pathogens. The compositions containing the RTI301 and RTI477 strains are useful for benefiting plant growth and/or conferring protection against a pathogenic infection when applied to plant roots, seeds, callus tissue, grafts, and cuttings. Synergistic results are observed for the combination of the strains, and the combination of strains is useful to increase yield in crops including soybean and corn. The compositions containing the combination of strains can be applied alone or in combination with other microbial, biological, or chemical insecticides, fungicides, nematicides, bacteriocides, herbicides, plant extracts, plant growth regulators, and fertilizers.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2015Publication date: June 30, 2016Inventors: Safiyh Taghavi, Daniel van der Lelie, Roderick McLeod, Kevin R. Brost, John E. Kibbee

Publication number: 20160183541Abstract: The main function(s) of the Poultry Cleaning knife abbreviated (PCK) is for cleaning poultry surface skins. The Poultry Cleaning Knife scrapes (by gliding) the knife blade across the surface of poultry skin in a downward, continuous, stroking motion. Main parts of the Poultry Cleaning Knife has waved pointed tips to remove aggressive debris and the yellowing coloration that sometimes builds on the top of the surface of poultry skins. The Poultry Cleaning Knife bottom blade performs the same main function that uses a straight line blade for general cleaning of the poultry skins. The bodies of the blade are vents to catch any remaining bacteria and or germs that the top or bottom blades did not remove. This stroking action of the Poultry Cleaning Knife, removes salmonella, fatty oils, dirt, and debris from the skins of Chicken, Turkey, and any other kind of poultry.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 21, 2015Publication date: June 30, 2016Inventor: Makare Akhet Aten

Publication number: 20160183542Abstract: An apparatus for processing a crustacean body part is disclosed. The apparatus includes a conveyor, a first blade, and a first fluidic device. The conveyor has a downstream direction and a first region for supporting a crustacean body part. The first fluidic device is drivingly coupled to the first blade, and actuation of the first fluidic device moves the first blade into the first region. Methods of processing a crustacean body part, methods and apparatus for cracking a crustacean shell, controllers for directing processing of a crustacean body part, and pre-cut seafood items are also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 2, 2015Publication date: June 30, 2016Inventor: Tim Fogarty

Publication number: 20160183544Abstract: An embodiment relates to a multi-layer, biaxially oriented polyester (BOPET) film comprising a food contact substance, wherein the BOPET has a percent release in a retort test after can lamination such that substantially all food contacting the BOPET during the retort test is released. Another embodiment relates to a method comprising applying a food contact material comprising a food contact substance to a multi-layer, biaxially oriented polyester (BOPET) film, wherein the food contact material is prepared at around room temperature without heating.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2014Publication date: June 30, 2016Inventors: John FITCH, Jan MORITZ, Pat ANDREWS
