Abstract: The present invention relates to a particle therapy apparatus used for radiation therapy. More particularly, this invention relates to a gantry for delivering particle beams which comprises means to analyse the incoming beam. Means are integrated into the gantry to limit the momentum spread of the beam and/or the emittance of the beam.

Abstract: A power door opener including an actuator having a housing with an electrically powered actuator shaft that can be extended from a closed to an extended position. In one embodiment, a movable push plate is affixed to the actuator shaft and a fixed push plate is fixed in its position with respect to the housing. In the closed position of the actuator shaft, the fixed and movable push plates are aligned to form a combined edge for insertion into the space between a door and door jamb. The actuator shaft extends to move the movable push plate apart from the fixed push plate to spread the space and release the door from the door jamb. Alternatively, a double ended power door opener is located between opposite door jambs and the extending of the actuator shaft forces the door jambs apart to release the door from the door jamb.

Abstract: A portable chilled air respirator device is used to treat air. Ambient air is drawn into an inlet of the device. The air is passed through a filter to filter the air. The air is cooled and dehydrated, such as by being passed over a reactant to create an endothermic reaction. The air is then secondarily cooled and rehydrated, such as by a secondary endothermic release of energy in an evaporative process, before being directed through the outlet of the device.

Abstract: This invention offers a fully protective cowl neck garment with various fasteners designed to attach additional protective gear, such as gloves and shoe coverings. Additionally, a temperature sensor shield is located on the hat and protective mask. This allows the clients or patients the ability to see and to monitor the temperature of their caregivers. The caregiver's temperature is visible on the hat, as well as the face mask. This makes the caregivers accountable to their clients or patients, as well as their colleagues and coworkers. This invention eliminates the worry of contact with infectious diseases or dangerous liquids, by utilizing elastic manual ties and hook-and-loop fasteners to ensure the garment is secured fully on a user's body. Overall, this invention ensures medical professionals, firemen, emergency medical personnel, government workers, and so forth, are protected fully from contagious and infectious diseases, liquids, and so forth.

The handle is secured to the first elongated strap using a cam buckle, while the first elongated strap is secured to a closed door using a door overhang strap with a strap slider. The door overhang strap includes a strap length and a strap pull-through anchor, whereby the strap length is placed between a door and a door frame and the anchor prevents pull-through thereof when the first elongated strap is tensioned.

The garment provides resistance to movement throughout an angular range of motion and tracks biomechanical parameters such as stride length, stride rate, angular velocity and incremental power expended by the wearer. The garment may be low profile, and worn by a wearer as a primary garment or beneath or over conventional clothing. Alternatively, the device may be worn as a supplemental training tool during conventional training protocols.

Each handle bar affixed at the handle storage position may be fittingly inserted in between a pair the leg members affixed at the leg storage position to reduce the required storage space.

An average height of the lower muscle portion from the ball striking centerline to the toe-side boundary line may be approximately twice an average height of the lower muscle portion from the heel-side boundary line to the ball striking centerline. The mass distribution of the lower muscle portion moves the center of gravity of the club head closer to the face center location.

The head has a protrusion feature on its back edge proximate the widest portion of the head and a stringing configuration to provide increased ball control when the ball is placed against the back of the head during a draw play. The head is additionally designed to allow the back of the head to seat inside the frame of the head of an opposing player's stick. The head is advantageously used for women's lacrosse games.
