Abstract: An ECU is used to a tire pressure monitoring system of a vehicle. The ECU includes a contact storage portion and a post-replacement ID reporting section. The contact storage portion stores previously a contact of a management computer of a facility that the vehicle uses. The post-replacement ID reporting section transmits a post-replacement tire ID of a tire, which is substituted in the tire replacement, to the contact in the contact storage portion via a communication network when the tire replacement is detected by a tire replacement detection section. The management computer includes a registration change section that registers the post-replacement tire ID in a registration portion upon receiving the post-replacement tire ID.

Abstract: A method for monitoring an air pressure in at least one tire of a motor vehicle, wherein at least one air pressure in the tire is detected by at least one measuring electronics unit present in the tire and data is transmitted by the measuring electronics unit to a control unit. Depending on the data, the control unit activates components of the motor vehicle to generate optical and/or acoustic signals. The control unit is switched into an after-running mode for a defined period of time when an ignition of the motor vehicle is shut off, in which mode the control unit can continue to receive data from the measuring electronics unit and may activate components of the motor vehicle to generate optical and/or acoustic signals.

  • Publication number: 20160207365
Abstract: An exhaust stem for use with a valve assembly is provided. The exhaust stem is a hollow body which comprises an inner surface, a distal end, and an outer surface. The inner surface forms a portion of a fluid conduit through the exhaust stem. The distal end is shaped to sealingly engage a valve of the valve assembly. The outer surface defines a plurality of turbulence reducing protuberances. The plurality of turbulence reducing protuberances distributes a fluid within a valve housing of the valve assembly to facilitate operation of the valve assembly. The valve assembly decreases an amount of fluid turbulence in a tire inflation system, provides greater flexibility in configuring the tire inflation system, and facilitates accurate control of a pressure within individual tires of a vehicle.

Abstract: A vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) roadable aircraft which has the features and dimensions of a typical road vehicle is disclosed. When operated on the road the wheels are powered by the engine. When the vehicle is configured for flight, a plurality of propellers is deployed from the storage compartment located on the roof and is powered by the same engine. The conversion process transforms the vehicle into a highly manoeuvrable quadcopter or a multi-rotor aircraft. The design concept enables propellers of relative large diameter to be conveniently secure to the vehicle, while allowing reliable deployment, retrieval and storage of the propellers as required. The total combined area of the propellers enables a low disk loading in the range of some helicopters with equivalent flight efficiency. The propellers are shrouded for safe operation. The conversion is automated, fast, and can be carried out while the vehicle is still moving.

Abstract: A vehicle display processing apparatus includes: a first determination portion that determines whether a vehicle is at a stop; a first display processing portion that displays on a first display device, an operation screen image, the first display device being provided between a driver seat and a front passenger seat; a second display processing portion that displays a screen image relating to the operation screen image, which is displayed on the first display device, on a second display device provided to a driver seat side; and a second determination portion that determines whether a running speed of the vehicle is equal to or greater than a predetermined speed. The second display device is provided by a head-up display. When the running speed of the vehicle is lower than the predetermined speed, the second display processing portion does not display the screen image on the second display device.

Abstract: A projected architecture system may include a first device, associated with a driver of a vehicle, which drives the display of content on the infotainment screen of the vehicle. A passenger in the motor vehicle may have a second device that the passenger can utilize to transmit an instruction to the first device. The instruction may cause the display of the infotainment system to be altered. The passenger may, for example, utilize the second device to cast a point of interest or navigation direction to the infotainment display via the first device. Thus, the driver does not need to search, browse, and/or view functions and/or content on the infotainment system's display and can concentrate on operating the vehicle.

Abstract: A power supply system includes a first controller that, controls an MG1 inverter, a second controller that controls an MG2 inverter, and a voltage sensor that detects a voltage generated from a pair of output terminals. The first controller controls the MG1 inverter according to a target value of the voltage generated from the output terminals, irrespective of the magnitude of a deviation between the target value of the voltage generated from the output terminals, and the detected voltage. The second controller controls the MG2 inverter according to the deviation. This processing is implemented by an effective value computing unit, effective value PI control unit, and a neutral point output voltage command unit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for driving a motor vehicle and a drive system for a motor vehicle, solely for electro-motorized forward movement. At least one electrical motor is directly or indirectly connected to a drive shaft of the motor vehicle, which is supplied with electrical energy via an energy storage unit, to which energy is supplied with electrical charge current by a generator, driven by a gas engine. The invention is operated during forward movement of the motor vehicle such that an average power demand, which can be allocated to the electrical motor, equals an average power output, which can be allocated to the gas engine, so that a charge state, which can be allocated to the energy storage unit, does not change or changes solely within a charge state within a tolerable range.

Abstract: A circuit for pulse duty factor limitation in a switch mode regulator, having an output stage to which control is applied by a signal, is described, in which circuit a pulse duty factor limiter is connected to the switch mode regulator in order to transfer the signal to the pulse duty factor limiter; the pulse duty factor limiter is configured to generate from the signal a limited signal limited at the top end in terms of pulse duty factor; and the pulse duty factor limiter is connected to the output stage in order to transfer the limited signal to the output stage. Also proposed is a method for operating a switch mode regulator having a downstream circuit to which control is applied by a signal of the switch mode regulator and having a capacitor that becomes charged when the downstream circuit is switched off, in which method the pulse duty factor of the signal is limited at an upper limit value in such a way that a predetermined charging time for the capacitor is available.

The cable management system has a drive assembly which has a drive mode that retracts the cable and release mode which allows for the cable to be extended. The installation employs a drum having a cylindrical sidewall. The drive assembly drives the cable downwardly into a drum so that the cable progressively engages the sidewall to form a vertical coiled configuration. A clutch assembly cooperates with the drive assembly to provide the automatic retracting and extending operations and also locks the vehicle connector at the end of the electrical cable in an extended position as well as a retracted home position.
