Publication number: 20160214070Abstract: A wine aerator includes a seal configured to engage an opening of an uncorked wine bottle. A gas conduit passes through the seal and is configured to be attachable to a gas source supplying air and/or oxygen inside the uncorked wine bottle thereby aerating the wine. A bubble-generating aeration element is disposed at the gas conduit distal end. A bubble-reducing filter element is in fluidic communication with the inside and outside of the uncorked wine bottle through the seal, wherein the bubble-reducing filter element is disposed at, near and/or within the seal. When the seal is engaged with the opening of the uncorked wine bottle the bubble-reducing filter element separates the inside from the outside of the uncorked wine bottle. The bubble-reducing filter element helps to reduce the amount of bubbles that are being generated from the wine aerator during the aeration process.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 3, 2016Publication date: July 28, 2016Inventors: Robert A. Publication number: 20160214075Abstract: A method of making silicone microspheres comprises nebulizing a silicone precursor solution comprising one or more oligomeric dimethylsiloxanes, a catalyst and a solvent into an aerosol comprising a plurality of droplets. Each droplet comprises the silicone precursor solution. The droplets are entrained in a gas which is flowed through a reaction zone comprising light energy and/or heat energy. Upon exposure of the droplets to the light energy and/or the heat energy, the solvent evaporates and the one or more oligomeric dimethylsiloxanes are polymerized. Thus, silicone microspheres are formed from the droplets of the aerosol.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 22, 2016Publication date: July 28, 2016Inventors: Kenneth S. Suslick, Nitin K.
