Abstract: A method and surveillance system are presented for detecting and alarming intrusions that are caused by unwanted people in a protected area, by exploiting interactions between the wireless communication and monitoring devices of the surveillance system but no special sensors. An intrusion in the protected area is primarily detected by analyzing the variation of the wireless channel observed at the wireless communication device, and further confirmed by images captured by the monitoring device, where the image capture can be triggered by the intrusion detection result. The threshold used to primarily determine the existence of an intrusion is self-calibrated by comparing the result of the channel-variation based intrusion detection with the findings of the captured images. Moreover, an intrusion caused by authorized people of the protected area is identified through checking the connection status of the secured wireless communication network in the protected area, and then filtered out.

Abstract: An information processing system includes information processing apparatus and terminal apparatus that includes display portion and operation portion. A first display processing portion displays electronic teaching material on the display portion. A switch processing portion switches page of electronic teaching material displayed on display portion in response to switch operation performed to operation portion. A page information obtaining portion, in response to switch operation, obtains page information corresponding to page of electronic teaching material that had been displayed before being switched. A board-written data obtaining portion obtains lesson information that is input to board surface, as board-written data. A storage processing portion stores page information into storage portion in association with one or more pieces of board-written data that had been obtained by board-written data obtaining portion before the page information was obtained by page information obtaining portion.

Abstract: A data compensator includes a reference voltage drop generator, a voltage drop measurer, a compensation data generator, and an output block. The reference voltage drop generator generates reference voltage drops corresponding to R, G, and B data of a first pixel among the plurality of pixels. The voltage drop measurer calculates pixel voltage drops of the pixels based on R, G, and B data of the pixels and outputs a first pixel voltage drop of the first pixel. The compensation data generator generates R, G, and B compensation data compensating luminance distortion of the first pixel and color coordinate distortion of the first pixel based on a difference between the first pixel voltage drop and the reference voltage drops. The output block generates compensated R, G, and B data by adding the R, G, and B data of the first pixel and the R, G, and B compensation data, respectively.
