The best mode is considered to be a lighting device with LEDs that produces an emission spectrum similar to the photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) spectrum in a dark growth chamber. The methods and arrangements allow more precise spectral tuning of the emission spectrum for lights used in plant (310, 311) cultivation. Therefore unexpected improvements in the photomorphogenetic control of plant growth, and further improvements in plant production, especially in dark growth chambers, such as basements, are realized.

  • Patent number: 9456557
Abstract: Self-initiated cooling of the troposphere occurs by enriching the same with at least one substance from the group of inorganic chloride and bromide compounds. The substances used to this end are characterized by at least one of the properties: gaseous, vaporous below 500° C., hygroscopic, hydrolysable. The formation of the substances used to this end is further characterized in the process in accordance with the invention by at least one of the steps: forming the substance using salt water electrolysis, forming the substance outside of combustion processes, forming the substance in the free troposphere.

  • Patent number: 9456558
Abstract: A stump cutter comprising a cutting head that rotates about a generally vertical axis is provided. The cutting head comprises a plurality of cutting blades that are angled with respect to a backing plate of the cutting head. At least two of the plurality of cutting blades are further angled radially with respect to a center of the cutting head, such that the centermost edges of the cutting blades extend further into a stump than the outermost edges of the cutting blades. The stump cutter is powered solely by the PTO of a tractor.
