  • Patent number: 9456615
Abstract: The present invention presents a kneading mechanism for a food preparation appliance. The kneading mechanism has a kneading container, a blade assembly and a kneading base. The kneading container has an open bottom face and the kneading base has a textured surface. An adaptive kneading technology which resides in a processor is used to form an optimal viscoelastic dough ball. Since there is variation in the gluten content and the amount of water used makes the dough ball have a viscoelastic nature this technology due to its self-learning mechanism optimizes the kneading of single dough balls using adaptive kneading technology.

  • Patent number: 9456654
Abstract: The disclosure relates to articles of footwear and components thereof, including outsoles, which can be used in conditions normally conducive to the accumulation of soil on the outsoles. In particular, the disclosure relates to articles of footwear and components thereof including an outsole with an external thermoplastic hydrogel film that compositionally includes polyurethane copolymer chains. The outsoles can prevent or reduce the accumulation of soil on the footwear during wear on unpaved surfaces such as sporting fields. When the outsoles are wetted with water, the outsoles can become more compliant and/or can rapidly uptake and/or expel water, which can prevent soil from adhering to the outsole and/or can assist in shedding soil present on the outsole.

  • Patent number: 9456655
Abstract: A manufacturing method, within a modularized manufacturing environment for stabilizing a phylon article that is produced utilizing a heat press, is provided. Initially, the method includes immersing a phylon article in a first tank, with a fluid disposed therein, and withdrawing the phylon article from exposure with the fluid. Typically, the midsole is heated from its production with the heat press when it is placed into the first tank. The immersion in the first tank acts to cool the phylon article, thereby stabilizing the heated phylon. The phylon article may be next placed in a second tank, with a fluid disposed therein, and withdrawn from exposure with the fluid. The fluid of the first tank may reside at a temperature comparable to or higher than the temperature of the fluid of the second tank. Recursively exposing the heated phylon article to the fluid of the tanks incrementally decreases the volume of the article.
