In one aspect, the method includes blending starting fibers of a polypropylene component and a sustainable polymer component under heat to form a molten stream, and then vis-breaking the components to obtain a polymeric blend that is suitable for use in meltblowing applications. The molten stream of the vis-broken polymer components are extruded through a meltblowing die to form a stream of meltblown fibers that is then collected on a collection surface to form a coherent meltblown web. The starting material may be bicomponent filaments having a sheath-core configuration in which the polypropylene component is oriented in the sheath and the sustainable polymer component is oriented in the core of the filaments. Abstract: A reciprocating hammer with a two-stage acceleration of a pile driving ram, including a first stage in which initial gravitational acceleration is assisted by a thruster and a second stage in which the initially accelerated ram is allowed to further accelerate under the force of gravity alone for the remainder of the pile driver stroke. The force assist in the initial acceleration stage acts as a force multiplier, such that the anvil delivers impact forces to the pile greater than the impact forces achievable by gravity alone for a given stroke length/ram weight combination.

Abstract: A limited displacement, variable location, post tension anchor assembly wherein a post tension thread bar (or a thread bar attached to an SDB) can be displaced following the encapsulation of the anchor assembly in concrete. The displacement movement is in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the thread bar and is limited to the size of the anchor enclosure assembly enclosure. This device provides a mechanism to compensate for placement errors that can occur for field placement of post tension anchor assemblies in concrete structures that heretofore have been unavailable. In addition, following the correct positioning of the thread bar, there is a mechanism provided to allow for remote pressure grouting of the assembly.
