Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) with dynamically changing user-selectable graphical tiles that automatically reorder in closest-to-farthest order based on a real-time location of an electronic computing device having a location tracking device. Physical entities near the device are displayed on the GUI. As the current location of the device changes, the list is dynamically changed in real time by reordering display of the user-selectable graphical tiles displayed on the graphical user interface so that a closest one of the physical entities is displayed topmost in the top-to-bottom order. A points balance associated with a user of the electronic computing device is displayed. A window is displayed in response to triggering events. The user can select one of the tiles, or the device can come within a minimum threshold distance. In response to a selection or user input, an exchange value is received from an external computer server corresponding to a number of points.

Abstract: Online experimentation has been widely used to evaluate an effect of a new feature of an online product on user engagement. One challenge is that an existence of outliers can often complicate the analysis of such experimental results. Thus, a procedure is provided herein to detect and remove outliers from experimental results. The procedure can use statistical tests based on parametric distributions of sample maximum or minimum. These tests can be performed using an inward testing procedure to identify multiple outliers. Finally, these filtered test results can be used to control delivery of a new feature of an online product.

Abstract: A system for generating behavior segments and serving targeted ads. The system generates variables based on data from targeted users, incorporates recency, frequency, and velocity for the variables; optimizes the variables; converts the variables into behavior segments; and saves the behavior segments to a database. The system updates the behavior segments in real time. When a publisher requests an ad call, the system generates a score for advertisements based on the user profile, multiplies the score by the amount each advertiser is willing to pay for serving their ad, selects the highest value, and serves the ad.

Abstract: A vehicle data system may receive, via a website, a user query about a vehicle or features of a vehicle that may not actually exist. The vehicle data system can transform vehicle features representing a user-configured vehicle, compare the user-configured vehicle with inventory vehicles, determine how similar the user-configured vehicle is to each inventory vehicle, how likely each inventory vehicle may be purchased given the user-configured vehicle and consumer behavior modeled based on actual historical transaction data collected via the website. The vehicle features may be weighted. Feature weights can be automatically determined and continuously fine-tuned utilizing machine learning. Each inventory vehicle is scored utilizing a similarity vector that compares it with the user-configured vehicle. Top-ranked inventory vehicle(s) can then be recommended to the user via the website in real time.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein provide a geo-targeted online reservation system that ensures authenticity of customer devices requesting reservations by generating reservations only if threshold authentication conditions are satisfied. For example, a computing device registered with a server system receives inputs for requesting a reservation of a limited release product and for configuring the product. To authenticate the computing device, the server device transmits an electronic message to the computing device requesting the computing device to respond. A response to the message is one threshold authentication condition for generating the reservation. Upon determining that one or more threshold authentication conditions are satisfied, the server device generates a reservation for the product.
