Abstract: A player terminal controlling method includes receiving a do not disturb setting instruction transmitted from a target control terminal, which carries a time period and an identity of the target control terminal; setting a do not disturb time period as the time period and setting an identity of an authorized control terminal as the identity of the target control terminal within the do not disturb time period; determining whether an identity of a control terminal is identical to the identity of the authorized control terminal; and executing an operation corresponding to the control instruction when the identity of the control terminal is identical to the identity of the authorized control terminal. As can be seen, the present disclosure can increase the ability of a user terminal to take exclusive control of the player terminal at a specific time period.

Abstract: When a monitoring task is executed, a management server acquires setting information from a monitoring target device, compares the acquired setting information with setting information for monitoring the monitoring task, and determines whether a difference exists between the acquired setting information and the setting information for monitoring. If a difference exists, the management server performs a process according to a monitoring setting of the monitoring task.

Abstract: An intelligent notification device is provided. The intelligent notification device is adapted to communicate with at least one electronic device. The intelligent notification device includes a detecting device and a controller. The detecting device detects a status parameter of at least one user and an enviromental parameter of the electronic device. The controller is electrically connected to the detecting device to control the electronic device to notify one of a plurality of events in an event schedule according to the event schedule and to dynamically adjust a time sequency of the events in the event schedule according to at least one of the enviromental parameter and the status parameter. An intelligent notification method is further provided.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device pointed at an appliance to be controlled, or at an object that is to be accessed or about which information needs to retrieved, determines its position and orientation within an environment with respect to a fixed frame of reference. The appliance to be controlled is identified based on a determined position and orientation of the UE device and a known position of the appliance. The UE device controls the identified appliance by establishing a wireless communication link between the identified appliance and UE device based on a wireless technology that is compliant with both the appliance and the UE device. The UE device may control another appliance via a central control computer server to which the other appliance is interfaced, when the other appliance is not configured for wireless communication.

Abstract: Distinct user devices may sometimes share a telephone number. Techniques described herein may provide for the assigning of a temporary telephone number for a user device, which shares a telephone number with other user devices, in certain situations, such as when the user device places a call to an emergency call center. The temporary telephone number may allow the user device to be reached and/or located by the emergency call center.

The method and the instruction perform the following steps: detecting an ear image of a user in one or more pictures of the user taken from the camera in preparation for a phone call; detecting a hearing aid image in conjunction with the ear image; and causing a volume level of the speaker to be set for hearing aid performance as a result of detecting the hearing aid image in conjunction with the ear image.

Abstract: Mobile device user notifications of highly likely call drops or service losses are provided. A wireless network can determine from the location history of a mobile device if that mobile device is likely to lose connectivity to the wireless network or to a particular wireless service and issue an alert to the user. The form of the alert can be through one of various types of mobile device messages, or through an application on the mobile device. The mobile device's location can be determined using the global positioning system. Alternative directions can be provided to the user so that the user can travel without losing connectivity. The user may provide a destination before beginning travel, and receive a suggested course of travel that keeps the user within a higher quality coverage area.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a centralized, digital, computer-based telephone call management system for authenticating users of a telephone system in an institutional facility. The system includes the capacity to allow an institution to control, record, monitor, and bill and report usage and access to a telephone network. The telephone call management system further includes both accounting and management software for use in controlling, monitoring, billing, recording, and reporting usage and access. Also, it can operate over both a Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) and a Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) infrastructure.

Abstract: A testing method for testing mobile communication devices comprises transmitting, by a testing front end module, a testing profile associated with a Universal Integrated Circuit Card, UICC, to a mobile communication device, activating the testing profile on the mobile communication device, setting, by a testing controller, the configuration of the mobile communication device to a testing mode according to the information of the activated testing profile of the UICC, and performing operational tests on the mobile communication device using a testing front end module of a testing system while the configuration of the mobile communication device is set to the testing mode.

Abstract: Described is a system and method for increasing the efficiency of phone call usage by using strategic call forwarding techniques to analyze incoming calls and process these calls in real time to: 1) divert unwanted robocallers and/or 2) provide information about unknown human callers. Robocallers are detected by analyzing incoming calls to determine if the audio is human-based or generated by a robocaller. Information about unknown human callers is obtained by real-time look up and reporting techniques to allow the user to determine whether to answer a call.

Abstract: Information about a request from a caller is provided in a customer service call center. In one embodiment, a customer service processor selects an agent based on the type of request and routes the call to the agent. The types of requests including one or more of cancelling all orders by a firm, canceling all orders by a trader, cancelling specific orders by a trader for more than one product, cancelling orders by more than one trader for a specific product, cancelling individual orders, changing the quantity of an individual order, and changing the quantity of a set of orders for a trader or a firm. Statistics may be collected regarding the call and stored for later use in a database.

Abstract: An interactive communication system configured to conduct a call with a caller. The interactive communication system comprises at least one computer hardware processor configured to perform: obtaining a plurality of dialog chunks comprising information provided by the caller to the interactive communication system and information provided by the interactive communication system to the caller; generating, based on the plurality of dialog chunks, a respective plurality of feature sets, each of the plurality of feature sets comprising at least one feature generated using a respective dialog chunk of the plurality of dialog chunks; determining, based on the plurality of feature sets, a respective plurality of dialog chunk scores; determining, based at least in part on the plurality of dialog chunk scores, a likelihood that the caller is dissatisfied with the interactive communication system; and when the likelihood exceeds a threshold, performing a remedial action that alters how the call is handled.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for redacting sensitive information. Certain methods involve caching an incoming communication in a cache of the machine, optionally, when the communication is a vocal stream, using a speech processor, converting the vocal stream to text before analyzing, and automatically analyzing the communication and identifying sensitive information in accordance with one or more rules and identifying the location of the sensitive information in the communication. The sensitive information is automatically redacted from the communication and the redacted communication is at least one of stored and transmitted.

Abstract: A mobile device, such as a smart phone, receives and presents interactive audio content from an interactive voice response (IVR) system. The mobile device provides an interface that enables a user to navigate through a menu presented in the interactive content. The interface further presents action elements that identify actions that can be requested through the menu, and selection of the one of the action elements may cause the IVR to perform an associated action. For example, the interface may identify representatives at a call center, and a selection of one of the action elements causes the IVR to establish a communication between the mobile device and the selected representative. The action elements may further identify status information associated with the call center, such as an expected wait time.

Abstract: Systems for interactive display responses. An example system includes an interactive display server (IDS), wherein the IDS is configured to: establish a data session with an interactive display application (IDA) installed on a mobile device, wherein the data session is established when a call is placed, via the mobile device, with a call center that is subscribed to provide IDR services; obtain, from the call center, a link to a data to be displayed via the IDA; and send, to the mobile device, the link to the data to be displayed on the mobile device.

Components at the server identify a type of problem associated with the request and the customer sending the request. The system searches for a customer experience profile for the identified customer in a customer database stored in a computer memory and determines based on the customer experience profile if the customer has prior experience solving the type of problem identified. The system routes the customer to an abbreviated resolution process when the customer has prior experience solving the identified type of problem and resolves the request using the abbreviated resolution process.

The telephone calls, fax transmissions and electronic messages are first forwarded to a central forwarding repository by the forwarding party where the fax transmissions, and messages are converted to audio formats. Forwarded telephone calls and audio formatted versions of the fax transmissions and electronic messages are then forwarded directly to a designated forwarding number. If the forwarding party answers at the forwarding number, she will receive forwarded calls, and the audio formatted versions of fax transmissions and electronic messages will be played to her over her telephone. If the forwarding party does not answer the forwarded call, she subsequently may retrieve saved telephone calls, saved telephone messages and saved audio versions of fax transmissions and electronic messages from the central forwarding repository.

Some embodiments are particularly directed to techniques detect that a user and a particular application is engaging in video transfer, particularly a video download, through monitoring the network usage of applications and whether applications are foregrounded. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a network usage monitoring component operative to determine a foreground application on a device; monitor network usage for the foreground application on the device; and determine whether the network usage for the foreground application exceeds a video usage signature threshold; and a logging component operative to log video activity in a video usage time series log where the network usage for the foreground application exceeds the video usage signature threshold. The method further includes presenting the design of the photobook to a user for preview and receiving an order from the user for a physical manifestation of the photobook based on the design.

Abstract: A remote MFP GUI application allows a user to use a GUI of mobile device to specify features and options to be used to perform one or more functions at an MFP, instead of, or in addition to, using the user interface of the MFP. The remote MFP GUI application generates selection data that specifies the features and options specified by the user and causes the selection data to be transmitted to the MFP. The user then completes performance of the one or more functions at the MFP. Features and options specified by a user via the GUI of mobile device may be stored as a “UI profile.” UI profiles may be specific to a particular MFP, designated as a default UI profile for multiple MFPs, and may also be specific to a user. UI profiles may be created, edited, stored, retrieved and deleted.
