When one of two quasi rectangular apparatuses is combined with said sleeve, together . . . an integral writing structure takes shape. Importantly, the invention (in-part) is one that is steeped in human factors and ergonomic design. The benefits are many, but most notably is the utility provided to pilots. Specifically, the reduction of error by minimizing line-of-sight transition i.e. outward to downward focus, then upward again . . . coupled with an ability to quickly note ATC (air traffic control) departure and approach instructions. In general terms, both the primary (upper) and secondary (lower) apparatuses are planar in nature with rounded dis-similar corners. Ideally, materials may include card stock (chipboard) or plastic. In the latter case, various synthetic thermoplastic resins may include polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, and polystyrene.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus comprising a body, a pair of shoulder straps attached to the body, a pair of pockets, each of the pair of pockets being formed respectively in each of the pair of shoulder straps, and a sternum strap including two parts connectable with a connector, wherein each of the two parts is attached and can be stowed respectively inside of each of the pair of pockets. Each of the two parts has a first end attached to a first corner of the corresponding pocket and a second end attached to a second corner of the corresponding pocket, such that the connector can slide up or down along the two parts and, when the two parts are connected with the connector, each of the two parts forms a “V” shape.

Abstract: The invention is a single portable water bottle unit that delivers a convenient method of providing hydration to two separate parties. It consists of four main components; a lid, housing, a connector, and bowl. The components are connected to each other via threads and can be assembled and disassembled at anytime. The connector is responsible for controlling liquid flow via mechanical apparatus initiated through the compression of a button-trigger located on its side. When the button-trigger is compressed, liquid vacates through the bottom of the housing, through the connector, through a removable filter attached on the bottom of the connector, and finally into the bowl. The bowl enables a second party to consume the contents dispersed from the housing without having to consume from the same orifices as the first part, which fastens and unfastens to the bottom of the connector.

Abstract: A brush hanging system for efficiently and safely hanging a brush from another object such as a paint can. The brush hanging system generally includes a brush such as a paint brush. The brush includes a groove formed within the body of the brush, such as on its handle or any other position other than its bristles. A hanger rod is pivotally connected within the groove, with the hanger rod being adapted to selectively engage or disengage with the rim of an object such as a paint can. When extended, the hanger rod engages with the rim to removably secure the brush against the object. When retracted, the hanger rod is completely positioned within the groove in a flush or recessed configuration. Both the groove and hanger rod each comprise distinct segments which ensure that the hanger rod may pivot within the groove and engage with the rim.

Abstract: An oral hygiene instrument that includes a flossing member and a brushing member at opposite ends of an elongated handle member. An oral hygiene substance, such as xylitol, may be applied to a flossing filament of the flossing member and bristles of the brushing member. The oral hygiene instrument may include one or more coupling mechanisms at one or both of the ends of the elongated handle member to selectively engage one or both of the flossing member and the brushing member. The oral hygiene instrument may also include one or more digit placement pads that promote a positioning of an oral hygiene instrument within a user's hand that is useful for flossing and brushing a user's teeth. These digit placement pads may indicate a proper sequence of flossing and brushing a user's teeth.

Abstract: A brush cleaning cup includes a bottom and one or more sides forming an internal volume for cleaning brushes, such as makeup or cosmetic brushes. The brush cleaning cup can include a plurality of projections, such as tines and ridges on interior surfaces of the bottom and/or sides to facilitate cleaning. In some forms, the bottom and/or sides may include one or more holes, for draining a cleaning agent, such as water. A brush may be positioned in the cup and rubbed against the projections in the presence of the cleaning agent to remove material therefrom.

Abstract: Provided is a brush drying device including a strap having a head portion, a tail portion, and an elongate body portion between the head portion and the tail portion. The head portion includes a slot having a width and a height sized to receive the tail portion there through to form a loop between the head portion and the tail portion with at least the body portion. The further the tail portion is pulled through the slot, the smaller a circumference of the loop becomes, such that, when the loop is placed around bristles of a brush and the tail portion is pulled further through the slot, the decreasing circumference of the loop causes the body portion of the strap to compress the bristles and wring moisture therefrom.

Abstract: A method of assembling a spring inside of a tube includes providing a coil spring and a tube having a first retaining structure at a first end of the tube. The method includes positioning a rod in the tube. The spring is positioned in the tube, and a second retaining structure is attached to the rod with the spring positioned between the first and second retaining structures. A force is applied to the spring, and the second retaining structure is fixed at a position wherein the spring provides a desired preload.

Abstract: A rotating device for an armrest is connected with a fixing mount disc on a top surface of an armrest seat and is rotatably coupled with a rotary plate on a bottom surface of the support plate. The fixing mount disc includes a conical groove and a threaded orifice formed on the conical groove, and the conical groove has a toothed slot. The rotary plate includes a post corresponding to the conical groove and the toothed slot, the rotary plate also includes an extending fringe extending outwardly from an outer side thereof to contact with a peripheral side of the fixing mount disc, wherein the post has two recesses, each recess extends outwardly from each of two sides of the post to accommodate each of two slidable retainers, and each slidable retainer is pushed by a spring and has a locking tab for retaining with the toothed slot.

The armrest expansion device can include two or more planar housings and couplings for reversibly coupling the device to a pre-existing armrest, for example a commercial passenger vehicle's armrest, or any other desired armrest. Further, the armrest expansion device may additionally increase the effective height of the pre-existing armrest.

Abstract: The present invention is a collapsible stool with a plurality of legs that can be stored either freestanding or hung, and that has a single handle that is used to carry, initiate expansion or collapse of, or used to guide the stool when sitting. Further, the stool has a novel mechanism that allows a smooth transition from collapse to expansion and expansion to collapse using a single handle. This same mechanism allows the stool to stand upright in a stable position in both the expanded and collapsed configurations.

Abstract: An upright active-sitting seat provides a connection of a seating leg to a base through an articulating joint that allows the user to move a seat front to back and side to side, allowing a more active sitting that encourages blood circulation. The chair includes a seat supported by a post that is connected to a mount via a ball joint rod by a transverse rod that is routed through the ball joint rod end. By way of a coil spring that engages with the mount and the post, the post is spring biased to a home position relative to the mount. When using the chair, a person may move the seat from the home position to a comfortable seating position. When the person stands from the chair after using it, the chair returns to its spring biased home position.

Abstract: A foldout bed having two frames is described. Two frames are hingeably coupled with each other at a pivot point, by which the two frames are transitionable between a coplanar configuration and a non-coplanar configuration. Two frames are also coupled by a counterbalance mechanism, which couples one frame to a lower member of the other frame such that the counterbalance mechanism does not extend beyond a front-most surface of the other frame. The foldout bed also has two panels, each of which couples with one of the two frames, respectively. The distance between two panels forms a gap that is sized and dimensioned to allow the two frames to transition between the coplanar and non-coplanar configuration without encumbrance. The gap is covered by a gap cover.

Abstract: A foldout bed assembly with bifold doors is described. The assembly includes a first door that folds along a first seam to reduce the width of the first door. The first door is hingeably coupled with a first side wall such that the door and side wall can be folded together in an accordion fashion. The door and side wall combination can also be folded along a third seam that is perpendicular to the first and second seams. The third seam allows for reduction of the height of the unit. The foldout bed assembly includes a second door and second side wall that is similar in construction as the first door and first side wall (e.g., left and right doors). Each door and side wall combination can be shipped in a folded configuration for economic shipping. Upon delivery, the combination can be unfolded for quick and easy installation.

Abstract: An encasement system is disclosed. All of the embodiments include an outer encasement, which may be a decorative encasement, for example, normally provide on mattresses by mattress manufacturers. Unlike outer encasements provided by mattress manufacturers, the outer encasements disclosed herein are removable, for example, in order to replace one or more layers of a foam mattress core. The embodiments herein may include a cover and/or an inner encasement to facilitate rotation of the mattress core relative to the foundation of the bed. The encasement system is available as a passive device which provides the features mentioned above and an active device which additionally can be used to selectively lift the mattress to facilitate bed making.

Abstract: A cleaning device having a cleaning head assembly and a handle assembly is provided. Abstract: A picture frame wall hanging and leveling assembly is described. It contains a frame plate having a tab extending downward from the frame plate and further having two or more screw holes for screwing the frame plate to the picture frame. The assembly further contains a wall mount having a horizontal slot along the length of the base plate that receives the tab of the frame plate and walls around the slot.

Abstract: The invention relates to a framed art hanging system for hanging pictures and other similar items such as art, photos, diplomas, posters, paintings and framed sports memorabilia on walls. The system allows the installer of a framed picture to easily hang the picture utilizing the combination of a magnetic connection and a mechanical connection. The magnetic connection is achieved by utilizing a magnet, preferably adhered to a plate which is attached to either the back of the picture frame or to the wall and a metal plate which is magnetically attracted to the magnet, the metal plate being placed on the other location (either the back of the picture frame or to the wall). Three example ways to achieve a mechanical connection are described. The first way is to place an abrasive coating on either the frame plate or the magnet plate and a deformable substance coating on the other. The second way is to combine fins and grooves, one being placed on the frame plate and the other being placed on the magnet plate.

The top side of the surrounding side cover is connected with the top cover. A storage pocket is located on the side of the surrounding side cover. There could be more than one storage pockets with different sizes in this design. The storage pocket further includes an opening. The opening could be on either side of said surrounding side cover. By adding storage pockets with different sizes at the side of mattress cover, it provides more options and more spaces for storage before bed time. Abstract: An article includes a surface adapted for presence in an environment containing odoriferous nitrogen-containing compounds, a bonding agent, and bacilli bacteria. A method for binding bacilli to a surface is also disclosed. First, the surface is provided. The surface is then heated and placed under pressure. Then, the bacilli and a bonding agent may be applied to the surface, either alone or as a pre-mixed composition. The pre-mixed composition may be in the form of an aqueous dispersion. A method for controlling odors from odoriferous nitrogen-containing compounds is also disclosed. The method includes applying bacilli bacteria to a surface and placing the surface in an area likely to include odoriferous nitrogen-containing compounds.
