  • Patent number: 9549373
Abstract: A method for managing power in a system, in which the system may include a first device configured to transmit serial data and a second device, coupled to the first device. The second device may include a transceiver and interrupt logic, and may be configured to activate the interrupt logic and enable a reduced power mode for the transceiver. Power consumption of the transceiver operating in the reduced power mode may be less than power consumption of the transceiver in an operating mode. The second device may also be configured to assert an interrupt signal responsive to a change in a voltage level of an input of the second device and then de-activate the reduced power mode for the transceiver responsive to the assertion of the interrupt signal.

  • Patent number: 9549375
Abstract: In order to reduce the power consumption of a receiving electronic device, received advertising beacons may be filtered so that the receiving electronic device selectively transitions from a power-saving mode to a normal operating mode. For example, the receiving electronic device may receive a beacon with advertising information for a transmitting electronic device. If the advertising information is changed relative to a previous version of the advertising information for the transmitting electronic device, the receiving electronic device may transition from the power-saving mode to the normal operating mode. In this way, the receiving electronic device may ‘wake up’ if it receives an advertisement that it wants to act on, such as advertisements for: file sharing, wireless streaming of information, proximity pairing and/or continuity of a user experience with an application when the user transitions from the transmitting electronic device to the receiving electronic device.

  • Patent number: 9549380
Abstract: Spectrum that is shared by two or more radio devices that operate near a boundary of a tract is managed by a spectrum management system. The system determines a closest point of approach to the boundary for each radio device and an aggregate contributed power at each closest point of approach by the emissions from the radio devices previously granted spectrum access to the shared spectrum. A transmit power limit for the requesting radio device is determined at each closest point of approach. Spectrum access is granted to a requesting radio device and the granted spectrum access includes an authorized transmit power limit that does not exceed the smallest one of the transmit power limits.

  • Patent number: 9549387
Abstract: The present techniques relate to reducing interference on conducted RF links by utilizing country information to determine where an electronic device is located, and using such information to select sub-bands or channels that are not available for wireless transmission to be used for transmission of signals via the conducted RF links. Because the conducted RF links operate on frequency bands that are different from the frequency bands used for wireless communications in a given country, there is less likelihood that wireless communications will create interference in the signals being transmitted via the conducted RF links.

A radio network node may, for example, estimate a neighboring cell interference. The radio network node may also detect a sudden significant increase in the estimated neighboring cell interference. In response to detecting a sudden significant in the estimated neighboring cell interference, the radio network node may also transmit a message to at least one other radio network node. This message may include an indicator indicating to said at least one radio network node to initiate an interference congestion control procedure. Hereby it is made possible to allow for interference congestion control in radio communication networks.

  • Patent number: 9549410
Abstract: Interference mitigation methods and systems are provided. A base station obtains physical channel information of a transmission signaled in a first frequency band between the base station and at least one user equipment (UE) associated with the base station. The transmission corresponds to at least one of an uplink communication or a downlink communication. An interference mitigation controller compares the obtained physical channel information to a predetermined interference condition, to identify a presence of interference in the transmission. A second frequency band different from the first frequency band is selected, responsive to the identified presence of interference. The base station sends an instruction to the at least one UE associated with the base station to signal using the selected second frequency band. At least one of the first frequency band and the second frequency band includes a Long Term Evolution (LTE) band.

Abstract: A communication apparatus selects, among a plurality of control information, the control information matching a packet received and which is highest in a priority level. The communication apparatus processes a packet received based on the selected control information. The control apparatus includes a control information generation unit that generates a plurality of control information having match conditions overlapping at least partially one with another, a ranking in a priority level different one from another and processing contents different one from another, and a control unit that sets the plurality of control information in the communication apparatus. The communication apparatus performs the processing of modifying the control information, among the plurality of control information, which is highest in a priority level, based on a modifying condition previously set on the control information basis. Communication policies may be changed over by modifying the priority level.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method, in a wireless communication System, of determining the position, of acknowledgment/non-acknowledgment information for a hybrid automatic repeat request, in a physical uplink control channel, wherein the user equipment sends in an uplink sub-frame the acknowledgment/non-acknowledgment information for one or more downlink sub-frames. In an aspect of the invention, the base station sends to the user equipment a first starting position related to each ePDCCH set, a first offset related to a mapping relationship between the uplink sub-frame and information about the number of enhanced control channel éléments per ePDCCH set. The user equipment détermines the position, of the acknowledgment/non-acknowledgment information for the hybrid automatic repeat request, in the physical uplink control channel upon réception of the foregoing information.
